I had order a large number of packing blankets and when we arrived there were none. They said this is a common problem with U-Haul overall. Either way we where loading in a small town without any loading blankets. This needs to be communicated ahead of time so other arrangements be made.Edward K.

I was over charged from 0,79 cents per mile to 0,99 per mile. I was told by the manager at that location that I wasn't allowed to park my car while I rented the truck. Keep in mind that the location was closed for the weekend. I have filed a complaint with consumer affairs, and sent notice to VISA disputing the charge.Craig M.

U-Haul rep said there was a return slip by the box; there was not. Took a couple of phone calls (1 call was not returned) and a visit to get it returned. The visit was next day around noon. U-Haul rep said, he had not got around to opening return box to see slip I placed in the box but would later that afternoon. Rental on their lot 2 days before entered as returned. Unsure why.Roy E.

The return process was complicated. There was a spot for the rental, but there was no cell reception to take care of the return online. I had to call, and then was on hold for over an hour, and then with the representative for around 30 minutes. Because the location was closed, she sent a message noting my return. She said the location wasn't even open on the date of my scheduled return (I returned it a few days early), so she would send an e-mail to the area rep. I never heard from the area rep, and it was several days (after the original return date) and calls to Uhaul, that I was able to get the return confirmation.Norris O.

This location was unorganized, rude, opened 30 minutes late, lied about discounts, rushed us through the process not giving a chance to look at things, had no where for waiting customers to sit, offered upsales in an almost threatening manner, and just all around unprofessional. After hours billing solutions/customer service (2 different numbers) was a joke. Called both customer service line was automated with limited options so called billing solutions just to get customer service agent anyways. The agent was rude, condescending, unknowledgeable about the policy's, spoke negatively about employer, and could have easily made one statement that would have taken care of all questions that day. A simple no corrections can be made until the final bill is in would have ended the call. Didn't find out he wasn't a billing solutions agent until the end of the call. I'll be finding out about business hour customer service and billing solutions Monday morning.Benjamin A.

The communication for Uhaul as a company needs improvement. I was told 2 days before my pick up date that I must pick up by 4:45pm but this location closed at 4:00. Fortunately they called the day before to confirm and this is how I found out their closing time. The insurance was much higher at this location since it was a different state and I was not told ahead of time.Melany G.
Customer service on the local and is great. The issue with U-Haul and it's a huge issue is trying to talk to someone on the phone can be a 30 minute wait which is absurd. Second issue is the app does not work when you try to upload photos using the app it does not upload them even though it says it's been accepted and then it won't let you go on for that point so you cannot close out your rental after hours which creates a whole lot of extra time spent trying to work around U-Hauls poor app and poor customer service when it comes to waiting on the phoneWilliam K.
Right out of the gate I was greeted "I was just looking at your stuff and you now have a late fee" kinda snarky. I told him about the extra 5 hours I was given because of delays. When he read the online comments he saw it there. No apology just moved on and 50 bucks for a quarter tank of gas is ridiculous. Uhaul will not plan my last trip this next week if I even use UhaulJERRY W.

I have used U-Haul for nearly 30 years; this is the only time in that span that I had a bad experience. The drop-off location personnel were not helpful, very short with me when I asked questions, overall horrible place to use if you are returning equipment.Brian M.
I was charged $163 plus gas for 5 hours and 110 miles. I believe this to be outlandish and excessive. I was told when I left with the truck if I returned sooner than the 24 hours, I would get a discount. I was back the same day in 5 hours. However, the story changed when I got back to the U-haul office. I'm terribly disappointed in U-haul but doubly so with the establishment in Hardy, Arkansas that used deceptive tactics. Ozark Scanning Services were closed due to the Thanksgiving Holiday long weekend, so we cannot comment on them at all. However, we called and spoke with a very nice woman who registered that we had returned our truck on time and told us we would get an email on Monday. This was an easy process and we appreciate her assistance. As she said, we did receive an email on Monday. This was a good riding truck, but the brakes are a little "feathery", so may need some attention.John F.

They like to choose options for your contract without asking you what is best for you. We was almost charged a extra $200 because of them choosing for us to return the truck to the location where we picked it up, without them ever telling us that they set it up like that. Luckily the location we was trying to return it too made a phone call and took care of it for us. We picked this location because it had the size of truck we needed, next time we get a truck we will go back to where we dropped this truck off and we will just get what they have if they don't have what we need, because we won't return back to the location we picked this truck up.Christopher N.
