I live in Walnut Creek and scheduled to pickup my truck in walnut creek Sunday, September 29, 2019, but after call the place and search they had no truck for me and couldn't even find the confirmation number so I had to call Uber and drove to Martinez as of the seconed choice scheduled. The statement for the first 24 hours to (Rent a truck ,insurance, mileage etc, ) from Martinez to Campbell, was $158.00 in all but I didn't ask for any other coverage, for whatever reason they charged me $184.96 in Martinez. Pick up time was at 2:01, they gave me a truck that had a problem with a big Nail in Tire, so I had to change the Truck it took 00:30 more minutes to drive out of Uhaul at 2:30. Because of whole delay I called and asked for one more day rental which they said its $40.00, any way I agreed. On Oct/1/2019 I Dropped off the truck Full Tank in Campbell, CA, around 2:00 with $27.68 for the extra milage +$40 per extra day I had to pay $67.68 in all but they charged me $56.00 extra for coverage? What coverage? so they charged me $120.00 in all. Uhaul charged me almost two full charge instead of just one. Uhaul made Extra charge in Martinez $26.00 + $56 in Campbell = $82.00 means Uhaul charged me $304.00 for the Uhaul agreement of $225.00. This is an unexplained charge .

They said here are the keys: no walk through done. When I returned they said I drove 10 miles further than I know I did. When I pointed out the mistake they showed me the contract I signed and said “it’s hard to believe the mileage would be off by so much”. Really, getting one number wrong out of 6. Instead of adjusting they held me to my signature. Did I mention no walk through. I take ultimate responsibility but I will never rent from that location again.

I rented a cargo van for the daily rate but I was not informed at check out that I had only 100 miles, usually it is unlimited miles. When I returned it, they said I went 109 miles, 9 miles over the 100 and now I would have to pay way more! WTF? It cost me $121 plus gas to go to livermore and back...more than I spent on the furniture I bought. This place is a rip off. TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS ALL THE INFO NOT JUST PART OF THE STORY. YOU SUCK! I will never go back to you for a rental.

The truck was DIRTY AND SMELLED OF WET DOG!!! When I rented it the gal was very friendly! When I returned it and tried to tell Meridith a "funny" story because they had left the previous renters PRIVATE information in the truck and I had accidentally called him trying to call THIER location she got VERY SNIPPY WITH ME and very RUDE AND STARTED YELLING AT ME saying she didnt have to RENT ANY trucks to us that they WERE VERY busy and they had JUST gotten that truck back! When I went in and asked for her name the gal gave it to me then questioned why I wanted it then freaked out on me and yelled at me I asked for her name but she refused to get it...although I'm pretty sure you can figure out who runs the operations of this locations! Even tho they have at least 30 trucks on their lot and I had RESERVED IT LAST NIGHT ONLINE!!! I will NEVER RENT FROM THIS LOCATION AGAIN and I will TELL OTHER TO STAY AWAY as well!!! Bad customer service is NEVER ACCEPTABLE!! If this is who you want the FACE OF UHAUL TO BE I will rent from budget or penske from now on!

I made my reservation two days prior and was actually able to pick up my truck a little early. The workers here were nice, but the parking situation was pretty terrible. There's barely any parking for anyone picking up, let alone dropping off trucks. I recommend getting dropped off and picked up by someone else. The location is also not very obvious and the entrance can be easily missed since there's an empty lot right next to it where you're not allowed to park. Some bigger signage would be helpful.

Customer service was not existent. Two women at the desk were disrespectful, rude and almost nasty. I will not use UHaul again for our rental needs as a result. When providing us with a very dirty van and we asked if we could have it cleaned, the comment was "You aren't buying this van, just renting it". It was reserved to pick up in Walnut Creek and we were sent to Pacheco.

1-800-Go Uhal told us to return the vehicle here. They place was already closed and did not have after hours drop off. The online customer service rep should have known this. We made an extra trip.
