First, the pakmetro location is a dump. Foot tall grass and weeds and the door was locked when I arrived. When I picked up the U-Haul it was dirty and there was a hat and a bunch of water bottles in the cab likely from the prior renter. I didn't clean any of it up and returned it with the items still there, which sure I could have, but not my responsibility. I still got hit with a $25 cleaning fee, which I am disputing. I also had a $20 "after hours" fee. This was never discussed. Why offer touchless/after hours drop off if you're going to charge for it? I'm disputing this fee as well. Overall awful experience, but it can be made right by crediting back the $45 you stole from me.

My experience renting this U-Haul was terrible. Will never rent from this location again After idenitfying the abandoned building with overgrown weeds and no one in sight is the actualy place I need to go to, I have the following experience. BTW- this rental location looks like it could be the scene of the next Friday the 13th movie... 1) The app failed me miserably where I needed to call customer service mutiple times to simply get the keys. App wouldn't index to the correct screen, pictures of my license wouldn't go thru. It took me 45 min to simply get the keys... 2) I get the keys to open the truck to see it was no less than 20 years old.., hand crank windows, dirty inside (pics loaded) and just a disgusting piece of equipment. Oh, by the way, thank you so much for the 1/4 tank of gas... 3) I opened the back storage to verify my 3 trollies I ordered were provided. NOPE, only 1. Big problem considering I had three people helping me with my move that day... I called customer service...again... Don't worry Mr. Cummings, you just need to drive this POS to another U-Haul station...in the rain...during rush hour...to get your trollies. I drive to said location, because I have no other option, to find out customer service never called them and they have no trollies. Don't worry Mr. Cummings, there is a large U-Haul station another 15 min away that you can go to... 4) Finally, I get the trollies, and truck back to my house 2 hours later than planned. I pack the truck for my move and begin my drive to my new house. Driving up the expressway, A/C goes out. That's great considering I'm already HOT due to the fantastic experience I've had with U-Haul. Intermittent A/C is just what the doctor ordered to get my blood pressure below 150 Other than the above, my rental experience with U-Haul was just lovely. Thank you for the opportunity to comment

Stop lying, the U-Haul I rented was on empty no fuel was in the truck unacceptable I spent $80 on gas, I ordered a furniture dolly and no dolly was on the truck or moving pad I've always used U-Haul when I move I've never experienced anything like this before this location needs to be shut down very unprofessional when I called to ask about the fuel he lied told me it was 1/2 tank I took a picture for proof it's on Empty and he hung up on me horrible place just poor customer service they need to put under review and inspection.

charge 20 service fee, with truck turned in early, extra in gas, went through ap. Claiming I did .,..pictures were taking and send with milage , interior of cab, and interior of bed. Pouring rain, truck return before 4:00 main issue is there is no one servicing or there with front door locked ...most renters don't' do this daily ... was told they were in back ...Business' s don't lock the door if they wish to service their customers during regular business hours. I will be going through another provider simply to have actual assistance.

The only reason for this rating is key lock was not at easy to open and we had an awful experience to get the key.

I had orriginally requested a location where I would meet with a person face to face. My location was changed on me to this one. While I did eventually get ahold of the person, I had to jump through hoops using an online system to get the vehicle.

Employee ignored me when he was outside. Especially needed help when app wasn't working. Your app is worse. It wouldn't take a photo during return. I had to use your website itself.

Check in with an android was a hassle. It took more than 25 minutes from start to finish. Took time off my schedule. Gas tank showed full but it took 4 gallons to fill up and I only traveled a total of 20 miles. After filling up, the gas gauge needle went well beyond the original amount. Returning vehicle by using an android app took a little less time than check in.

Not all equipment (furniture dolly) was in the truck per my reservation. Had to turn around and go back to get it. Return was still within business hours. No one available upon return to answer any questions. Was having trouble with the on-line return and no one there to help.

I have some issue with checkout in application, staff that I tried to call for a help was rude. I have to clean up vehicle for half an hour from snow. When I tried to leave location I have stuck in snow, because road wasn't clean enough.

It was late and dark when I dropped off U-HAUL truck. The parking spaces were tight so had to pull straight in. There was no way a novice could back up into a space. Fortunately, I had 2 family members with me because it did not feel safe at night. I would probably choose another site if dropping off at night in the future.

Very poor customer service at this location. They didn't help me when I needed the help for the truck rental. They left me at my own. I will never recommend this location. It took me few hours to sort it out .

The person I made the reservation with told me to pick up the truck on Michigan Ave,west of middlebelt,then gave me an address that when I put it in my GPS it took me to a different location. I knocked on the locked door a few times. It looked like it was closed . I drove to Michigan Ave location,the whole time on hold trying to figure out what's going on. They told me I'm to go back to the Westland location so I did. I walked into a large warehouse,walked around and found an office with one guy there and got my truck. Not sure what I was charged for the rental. My deposit was for 30 miles and I didn't use that many miles. Still waiting for receipt. Anyway not too happy but it is what it is.

If you have not rented from uhaul recently, and use the easy online checking, be aware that you will need an alternate contact THAT THEY CAN CALL right then on the spot before they will release the vehicle to you. Once we did that, they released code to lock box for key. We opened up the vehicle and there was no dolly or furniture pads inside. Had 2 of us calling 2 different numbers . . . with no answers by a real human. And they charged that hour of nonsense against our rental time. The advertised $19,95 rental truck ended up costing 6 times that. The fees will get you.

I rented for dolly but it was not included in the van. I asked Uhaul not to charge for dolly since I could not find it but they still charged me. Moving should have been easier with dolly but thanks to Uhaul it was much harder.

Maybe I missed the details, but the 10ft truck does not have a flat floor because of the wheel wells, this can be a problem if you are trying to fit bulky stuff on the floor.

I had issues during the chekout process even I was following the step by step instructions on the cell phone. I didn;t get any help even I waited for on support line and chatting about 20 minutes. A local store staff happened to stop by the location by he was very reluctant to help. It was very frustrating experience.

The truck was not very well maintained. The sun visor was always falling on face while driving, which was a safety hazard. This truck should be decommissioned for the sake of safety to future customers.

Have a human staffed to assist. Was almost an hour behind a moving timeline because I had no idea I would have to do everything through a phone. We filled out everything beforehand and it made me go through it all again on site. I would never use a service like this without a human staff for multiple reasons. You can't even see damage on the provided photos. I was so frustrated I clicked through everything just to get the damn truck.

The ramp went past the stop and it would not latch the the deck or go in. I called roadside assistant and it was useless. Said they would call me within 30 minutes and never heard back. Fortunately we had my tools and was able to loosen a couple parts and got the ramp back in. Very disappointing. As far as the location it was not what I set up and it was very inconvenient.

Put a sign in the window so people can find the entrance door, looks like a closed building. Put zip ties on the dolly equipment provided so that it's available if needed but not charged if not used as customary in general for Uhaul chains. Wear a mask when customers enter the building during Covid-19 while government mandates the use of them right now anyway. Wipe down seats, staying wheel and other equipment between uses to ensure a safe rental. This by far was the worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul and I've used Uhaul for 20 years. Makes me want to consider other options for truck rentals in the future.

Tried booking using the mobile method, extremely difficult picking up the truck and dropping off the truck. I've had all good experiences in the past with U-haul, however this was the complete opposite. Will not be using this location in the future. Customer service reps over the phone were very helpful and thankfully were able to help work everything out.

I arrived 30 minutes ahead of time to get my reserved truck. The doors were locked and no one was there. I waited until my pick up time, no one showed. I called the u-haul line, they first said someone should be there, and then corrected that and said I needed to check out the truck myself. So, I now got there 30 minutes early, it is now 10 minutes after 2:00 and I am given an agenda of things to do to get the truck. Finally at 2:30, I leave with truck. Came back, seeing the drop key here box when I left and thinking this will be easy, drop key and leave...until I opened the key box and was told to log on to a website for instructions on returning the truck...after all was done, it took 30 minutes to do all they wanted done. As I am doing this, I am thinking ok, I am doing their job, as a customer, and I am paying the same amount of money. That is not right. That is like McDonalds saying order here and cook your burger back here...and, we will charge you the same. Regardless of what is happening right now, which I am sure will be told is the reason, the virus...I get that, then have people drop the truck and leave. Why do we have to become the solution to the problem created by a virus to accommodate your issues. I am very disappointed.
