Out of office hours arrival! Luckily App worked, however the shopping center where the UHAUL lot is located is very scary and dog people we're luring around the fleet's parked cars, pretending to use a laundraumat! Beware!

I ordered my uhaul online. I was given a truck number and someone else picked it up right as I got there. The person working inside was rude and unhelpful. I was late for work because the location and online system were not in sync.

Friendly service, but the app was confusing. Furthermore, it only allowed one photo to be uploaded for each section of the vehicle (i.e., if there is damage on two spots one side of the vehicle, I could only upload a photo of one area).

Booked a Uhaul for Bryant street San Francisco and they called the day before that I had to go to cambon drive which was a major inconvenience and cost!

This has been the absolutely worst experience. They gave me a van without checking the going out mileage and now claim I drove 253 miles when I drove 47 miles. Additionally, I returned the vehicle on time but for some reason I'm being charged for an extra day!

I put on there that I needed the truck for 6 hours but I thought the timer didn't start until I picked up the truck so it's kind of messed up that I lost 2 hours right off the back cuz I picked it up at 10am. so I figured I'd have until 4 p.m. no! I only had till 2pm. and I asked for an appliance dolly to be in the truck. I needed it for moving equipment and you didn't put that in there. I barely had half a tank of gas! Pause for the dolly spent a lot of time on the phone and in the end get transferred around and then get hung up on and had to start that process all over again it is not good wasted a lot of time.

The employee was not helpful and unreachable. I returned my truck keys to a person at 11:40am after a 24hr rental and the guy didnt say anything to me about needing to check out through the app. I assumed he would handle the billing and all that but my receipt came in and I have been billed for 3 consecutive days and way more miles than I drove. Literally so frustrated!!

The feedback is probably not for the place, but more for Uhaul as a company. I ordered blankets and there were none in stock. I should be notified ahead of time so I can make other plans. I made the reservation 1,5 months ahead of time. There was plenty of time.

The self check-in instructions should include the information that the parking lot includes the road behind the store. It wasn't clear that this area was considered the “parking lot”. The staff member within the U-Haul store provided excellent service to help.

The employees were nice but extremely unaccommodating. I brought the van back at 10 minutes before closing as requested and they refused to process the return as it was too close to closing. I was also yelled at for not wearing a mask (happy to wear one but no signage to say masks required). When I returned my van they asked me to repark it in a different location - next time please just let me know when I am taking the van if you want it somewhere specific on return! Nothing huge but on the whole not a pleasant experience.

I reserved a 15 foot truck, and was given a 10 foot truck instead. This was a huge inconvenience and made the rental a lot more challenging.

Service from front desk was great, however, upon reserving on website it gave us an option to rent a dolly. Great! move time will be cut in half. At the site: mobile showed error, and was told that location does not carry dolly(s). A hauling service that doesn't have a dolly causes such inconvenience. Had we known we would have gone elsewhere. TIME IS MONEY and I was advised to drive across the city to rent one when you charge by the mileage. I am in remission from having cancer and I or anyone who contributes to moving should not have to walk upstairs one box at a time. We had 4 ppl to help one to two boxes at a time. No, I would not recommend this location for moving. UHaul website should be honest and accurate about the accessories they carry at each location. It took 9 hrs to move when it could've taken 4.5. I will be checking in and if nothing has changed I will be leaving a review at the Better Business Bureau's website to let consumers know the lack of accuracy and honesty your website has. This is the first time I had any issues with UHaul as in the past everything was great.

Extremely rude and aggro worker (and presumably owner) behind the desk. He was not helpful in answering questions. I will never return to this location. I have never felt more uncomfortable in a retail location.

The manager was all but professional. He was no help when I complained about my dirty uhaul.. Filled with glass, soil and debris from someone else's move. He stated they don't check them after drop off and went as far to say a homeless person was probably in there and that I could've taken him with me… was so confused I just left. Jimmie is his name. In all my uhaul experiences this was the absolute worst.

I had a terrible rental experience. My reservation was incorrectly processed, my truck wasn't clean. I had to return to the location due to the conditions of the truck. Terrible experience!

The cargo area was filthy. There were cans and bottles, wet furniture pads and a shopping cart in the cargo area, The drivers door was damaged and did not close properly. I can't believe Uhaul put this vehicle out for rental.

The cab of the truck was not cleaned or wiped down. The back was not swept out from previous use. Very little gas when I picked it up. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful and friendly. Good job overall. Just would like a clean truck next time and maybe some gas.

The agent at the front desk was extremely unhelpful and confrontational. I had problems understanding the online check out for picking up truck. When asked for help from him, he was extremely rude and offered no help.

I am very upset, there was no notice of a 30 $service fee for filling up the tank. I only used 2 gallons and agreed to the per gallon charge, not a 30 $service charge. Really low of U-Haul to do this.

I was over charged for fuel. When I picked up the truck it had the no fuel in it with the gas light on and indicator saying there was 50 miles left. I dropped truck with a quarter tank which is more then I picked it up with and was still charged 33 $for fuel plus 30 $for a gas service fee. I would not recommend this location. Bad overall experience. Was also charged for 2x dollies which is inaccurate.

The delivery process included an incorrect 55 $fuel charge even after reporting the right levels of fuel. I can see how a careless user could have just overpaid. Also, going back to the general rental process, I rented at a different location two towns away, and then got redirected to San Francisco. I managed to make it work but this generated extra charges for me, which could have been much more for a longer move.

Horrible customer service. I rented at a diff location and found out it was closed because an agent called me. Then they sent me to this Cambon Dr. where it was a mobile pick up. The mobile pick up for some reason was not working on my phone so I went inside and waited for someone to come to the front since no one was there. When the gentleman finally came to the front he asked if I had a reservation I said yes. I told him it was a mobile pick up and he said unfortunately he couldn't help me because I would make his job “double”. He said if I didn't know how to use the mobile pick up I shouldn't use it. So I said okay since it's not working for me I'll forget about that reservation and he can help me with a new one. He says that he cannot do that. So then I asked him so what am I supposed to do? He said he will do it for me this time but next time he cannot check me in for a mobile pick up. If we are talking about customer service and recommendation this is not a good experience at all. He didn't need to say I would make his job double. And on top of that the car was so dirty when I picked it up. Just horrible experience. The online sight takes too long to process. Very unpleasant experience.

The truck I was assigned wasn't there, so the manager was able to get me another one. The one I ended up with had some of the last users stuff in the back. I'm happy the manager was able to figure something out on the fly, but it was not an ideal experience.

It was the first time I was using self check out, when I approached the counter for help, they refused to help me because they say they wouldn't help for self check out. After 40 minutes of trying to figure it out by myself, I received a call from customer service and they encourage me to ask for help at the counter because that location didn't have a self check out system, when I mentioned this, they finally helped me. Once I got into the truck I realized that the gas tank was almost empty. I wasted more than an hour trying to get this truck, I will not come back to this location or recommend it to friends.

Advertised open time is 8 am and it opened 9 am. Incurred extra charges for loading and unloading due to delay and truck had less than 1/4 gas so landed up leaving more than 1/4 gas as we filled up tank not knowing how much needed and since we were delayed didn't want to chan e loading again

Van was not ready , no hand truck or dolly was inside, had to ask a representative about them and he informed me that he never leaves hand trucks or dollys in the van. Van was missing spare tire and when I asked to have it documented the representative said not to worry about it and that he would remember. Contract did not accurately reflect the amount of gas that was in the van, contract listed “5/8” but tank was at “1/2” level. The side door of the van would not unlock and was unusable, though we did not discover this until we had already departed the facility. The customer service representative at the location arrived late 9:05am even though hours posted were “open at 8am”. The representative was dismissive of other customer complaints about lateness and about my own concerns of the equipment. The glove box of the van was full of dirty napkins and paper towels. There was no window washer fluid in the reservoir and the windshield was terribly dirty and hard to see out of.

Couldn't get a hold of anyone on the phone at the pickup location, and when we arrived, no one was there, had to wait for over a half an hour for the owner to arrive, and it was well after my pick up time, and when he did arrive he gave me attitude. Not good customer service.

The return process is terrible. I scheduled to return the truck at 7pm on the same day but the system automatically set my return time as the next day. I follow the return process but could not proceed. I have to make another trip the next day to complete the process. As I had returned the key, I can't complete the photos.

On the date and time I returned the vehicle the person on duty didnt close the rental and I ended up with extra day of rent. I even have to call them back to rectify the negligence.

The office was not open at the time of our reservation. The operator was unfriendly in finding our reservation number. He also didn't update the reservation as a 4 hour need so instead I had this reserved until tomorrow? I arrived at the van to find it FULL of trash and dirt. Requiring myself to clean out the back end, whereas I refused to remove the trash from the console(in cab) due to the unclean nature of it all. I included this in my initial equipment survey and would like to be contacted about this experience in the future.

Could any items that we're requested with the vans (like the furniture pads) be already included in the van when you get the van? It was a bit cumbersome to have to walk to the store and carry the pads into the van when the vans are not parked in front of the store
