This was a horrible experience. First I booked the truck for 9am and the store owner taped a sign to the door saying they would open at 11am that day. Then U-Haul did nothing to help me. I pushed my movers back and “sucked it up” to pick up the truck at 11am and the store owner wouldn't give me the truck I booked because he doesn't do 1 way moves. Explain to me how a customer is able to make bookings that can't be fulfilled. If I could give a rating lower than 1 star I would. U-Haul is the worst and I will never be using it again. They screw me over every time.

Have the staff be more fluent in the english language , lack of ability to communicate contract terms and understand my desired drop off location . The truck was not washed and cab interior not cleaned out .

I did not ask to have this as a location. I asked for another one, 12 KMs away but only a day before I received email that this is the nearest location to pick up the truck. That's not only inconvenient but also costly because I had to drive 12x2 KMs out of my way and then pay gas and extra mileage. Uhaul, you need to change your ways because you are already expensive before this unnecessary cost.

Just have better knowledge of uhaul rules and regulations. A lot of my paperwork got messed up. Ends up being very frustrating and worrisome for me. Super friendly and very nice though!

Kenny at Penny's (pick up location) was awesome! But, I booked online and U-haul changed my pick up location without consulting me. Online customer service chat was useless and just kept giving me a number to call. I called and Donna was wonderful and changed my pickup to my desired location. Next time I will just deal with staff at Penny's.

This location did not seem to know how to process a truck return. Lady did not walk around the truck to inspect for damage or check the gas level in my presence. I was charged extra for fuel even though it was at the correct level; Uhaul customer service promptly refunded this amount.

Truck was fine however the trolley and blankets were not in the truck as ordered. The person in the store was looking after customers while trying to figure out how to process the U-haul truck. She had to call her brother whom I suspect should have been there. She overcharged us for the truck. Thankfully your office people were very helpful in resolving all issues.

I was originally supposed to pick a cargo van up at the rue Bridge location at open, but no one showed up to even open the place. I called the head office and they found another van for me at another location, so I had to take a cab way farther away from my destination. At the St. Jacques location, the guy working looked like he just woke up/was high/didn't want to be there. He gave me the wrong paper work, the wrong keys and the wrong van after taking his sweet time to input my information and flirt with me. I reserved a van online for eight hours starting at 9:00am, but I didn't get in the van until after 10:30am and I was only given six hours or else I would have been charged another six hours if I was late (not the information provided online). Upon returning the van, the computer froze and he couldn't fix it, so he had to call someone in to fix it. I am sure that he overcharged me, as well. Because of the extra kilometers and the two cab rides I had to take because of the location, my quoted $52 rental turned into an over $120 rental. Not impressed. Go with Discount or anyone else. Please.

Rental was good, some miscommunication on the website about the insurance being mandatory. And I had to drive back right away to get the dolly I had requested because it wasn't placed in the uhaul cargo van when I left.

U-HAUL is an excellent company. However something is wrong with this center. The management on this location is extremely rude and not bothered for the customer. Its a take it or leave it attitude. Guys if you want hassle free moving do not book at this center.

The cargo van I rented was not maintained properly. The right sideview mirror was missing, making it very hard for the driver to see anything to the right of the vehicle.

The staff at the pick up location was not helpful. He printed out a contract in French and had me sign it without asking if I needed to see the contract in English or not. He changed my original drop off location ( Orleans ) to some other location in Gatineau ( about 40 kms from Orleans ) and he assured me that he has kept the drop off location "OPEN" for me. So that I could drop off anywhere in Ontario without any trouble. Also the trailer was not well maintained from outside. The associate moved the trailer out of this storage but refused to assign it in a direction where it would be convenient for me to drive out of the parking lot ( without backing up with the trailer attached). When asked to please align the trailer properly he replied "its not my job". He did not initiate the inspection of the trailer. He did not initiate the safety check ( brake lights and indicator lights functioning properly ). I initiated those checks. I was not told which number to call if I have any trouble. Really poor service, I felt like he was doing me a favor.

J'aurais aimé que l'on respecte le plus possible ma demande du lieu de prise de possession du véhicule, comme on me l'avais promis. Je m'y suis pris 3 semaines d'avance pour faire ma réservation (Mascouche, 7 août 2012), pour le concessionnaire 306 Cremazie Ouest. Moins de 24 heures avant la date réservée (25 août 2012), on m'a annoncé que je devais prendre le camion à l'adresse ci-dessus (6120 St-Jacques), soit 13 kilomêtres plus loin, sans parler des réparations de route qui font rage dans ce coin (Décarie). Et évidemment, je me sens un peu floué car ceci a également causé le dépassement du kilométrage alloué, même s'il fut minime ($2.21)

La location a pris plus d'une heure, parce que le commis était très lent (manque d'expérience?) et que le premier équipement était défectueux (feux non fonctionnels), donc changement de papiers de location. Au retour à Chicoutimi tout était excellent.

Your agent at this location is one of the rudest human beings I have encountered in the service industry. The moment that I arrived to collect the van he started to pick a fight: I was happy to wait in line, but he called me out and loudly stated that I would have to wait at least 30 min for service. I had a very simple order, which he tried to make very complicated. I am sorry for you if this is the typical employee and sorry for him that he is clearly so angry at everyone and everything.

La personne ne parlais pas bien aucune des langues du Canada. Très impolie (mauvais ton, prennais garde de ses affaires du Motel avant même si j'étais arrivé avant, en me faisant attandre) Il était mal informé, voulais me charger plus de ce que je devais payer, me donner moins de kilométrage et ajouter des assurances que je n'avais jamais choisi. Les documents étaient en français alors qu'on parlait en Anglais. Le gas était pas exactement à la moitié! Mais dans le stress et l'heure perdue j'ai parti sans lui dire que ce n'était pas comme la feuille l'indiquait

the trucks should cleaned after usage. The truck I rented smelled like rotten garbage. There was onion skins on the floor in the back. The steering wheel was sticky. On returning the truck, I expressed my distastes to the rental agent , he said it's not him but the company who does not clean the trucks after usage. I had to move furniture which I am sure will hold that smell for a while. I will not rent from that location again. This is my first bad experience with U-Haul rental. I would reccommend washing the trucks frequently and maintain the maintenance of the truck.A lysol wipe will do wonders in the cab so as not to spread germs from one person to the next.

The truck either wastes excessive amounts of gas (out of the ordinary) and-or was not well filled up. I had 29 miles and around 29 litres of gas to be filled up at the end... When I asked the clerk at the counter how many miles per litre I should expect to spend (i was furious at having to spend 36$ to fill the tank after barely using it) he said “Those aren't our trucks so I have no idea how much gas they use.” That is completely unacceptable. After looking on the internet I see that trucks that are even larger and loaded (mine was only half full) have twice the miles per litre. I demand a compensation.

the location is a motel and it looks very dirty. the guy there asked me to separate the trailer from my car while he is doing the paper work. When I did so and came back to him I found him busy with other stuff for his motel and when I asked him about the papers hew started working on them.

Service horrible, Camion mal entretenu, frais cachés et mal expliqués aux clients. Problème de gestion des opérations entre camions et arrivage aux locations. Non professionnel. Personnels hautement incompétents et semblent en rire puisqu'aucun attachement envers la compagnie semble être présent. Ca fait un peu pitié !

Unbelievably disorganized, slow, lazy people. While I was there, the man behind the counter took 3 phone calls that completely interrupted the return of the vehicle. In the end, we spent close to 20 minutes waiting for him to verify the mileage and give us the bill total.

This location was hard to find, uninviting and dumpy. The UHaul office is set up so that worker stands behind a thick protective glass and I could not hear him at all or understand anything that he was saying. They refused to give me a return receipt in my language of choice (English).

this location is a crack motel-they have drug items like steel wool/pens/pins/small pieces of tin foil in a vending machine in the bullet proof hotel lobby-all used for smoking crack-hookers approach you when your getting your truck-the owner would not honor the phone contract made a week before and it took two hours to re do the contract-they would not install the car dolly on the ordered day and had us return the following day-they had never installed a car dolly and all the provided instructions were in french only as well as the contract-they did not have a furniture dolly as requested and tried to give us a fridge cart instead-had to shake out the furniture blankets as we were scared of bed bugs-unless you want to buy crack or get the services of a hooker do not go here !!!!!!

I would encourage U-Haul management to visit this establishment and make your own judgement. Obviously I was extremely unhappy with my rental experience. Please though, visit this establishment (Motel Sunrise) and decide whether you want the U-Haul company name associated with it. Again, at the end of my rental experience I felt like the victim of a scam and was forced to pay an incremental $53.81 - $63.81 in costs.

Computer was not working at morning, When I brought back the truck I had to pay $111. CASH. I couldn't pay with my credit card. The explanation given by the clerk is during the day he maded the contract and wrote I had to pay $100. CASH. This point was never ever mentionned.

The motel staff were not very friendly or personable. He did not give me the exact price and did not advise me to keep my gasoline receipts. I added gasoline but he refused to accept the current gas level and I was forced to buy more gasoline and keep the receipt to give to him.

Horrible expérience, endroit à risque très élevé de fraude de cartes de credit. Camera directement sur les terminaux de banque pour entrer les NIP-PIN, document empilé a l'arrière surement jamais déchiqueté. Ordinateur avec lecteur de carte douteux. Personnel non chalant. Jamais, mais jamais je vais retourner. Realy a shameful U-Haul representative !

Interior of truck cab not clean,i cleaned it as i was spending 4 days on the road driving, interior of truck box not clean, had to sweep out dirt etc... ordered 36 furniture pads, only had 29 for me, was told there were 30, after having clerk count them again he got one more, later discovered it was damaged, torn and half of it was missing. Equipment was in good mechanical condition. Clerk had to make contract 3 times dues to his errors, waiting time to finally leave was excessive. Did not offer any help in hooking up tow dolly.
