My reservation to pick up the rental was at 8am. The location did not open until 9:00am, however, they did not show up until 9:30am. Me along with parking lot full of people were out waiting for the place to open. They did not apologize or extend our time for the rental. No one was answering the phone. When I called U-Haul to inform them, the ladies were very rude. I do not recommend again.

Felix HComplaint - I sent my father in law to pickup the trailer. My card didn't work, so I called in to give them the number over the phone. My father in law said they had me on speaker phone and everyone in the room could hear my card number. That's not very secure

Dennis CWhen I picked up the truck I pointed out the damaged mirror and the girl made note of it BUT when I dropped it off at the New Jersey location the Jerk U-Haul guy wanted me to take it to another location an hour out of my way and when I refused he said he was going to charge me extra!!!! HE DID!! plus a cleaning fee even though I left the truck SPOTLESS!!! UHUALS IN THE NORTHEAST ARE ALL RIPOFFS AND CHEATS!!! I will dispute ALL EXCESS CHARGES, REPORT TO THE BBB AND FILE SUIT!! (I am a regular customer who rents trucks almost monthly, for more than 25 years, and this is the absolute WORST U-HAUL TRAFFIC AND MANAGERS EVER)

Lynda WI dropped the truck off at night and it was EXTREMELY dark. Not well lit at all. Luckily, I had someone with me. GPS lead me to this location and checking in on the website to return the truck confirmed it. I could not find the drop box anywhere. I called the 800 number 3 times and each time it was a 20-30 min wait. I don't live in the area. I live about 30-40 mins away. So I tried to chat. Someone named "Jeremy" joined after about 13 minutes while I was still on this dark lot. He asked me one question and never responded again. I sent two subsequent messages and still no reply. So I left. I wasn't going to sit on this dark lot all night and couldn't get any assistance from your representatives. Once I got home, I called and held on those 33 minutes and finally spoke to a person. It took her a minute to find out where the drop box was in her computer but she did. She told me and it was dropped off the next morning. Such an inconvenience because I had to drive 30 more minutes out of my way when I was already there.
Katonya DThey called me saying I didn’t return the truck I didn’t even need it for all the hours I requested I brought it back in 2 hours with more gas in it I didn’t need the dolly and I only just used one furniture cover.

CHICARLO TLocation was good. Uhaul as a company needs improvement. My original rental location per uhaul when I made the reservation was a different location for where my rental truck was actually at. Uhaul never notified me of the change. This has happened to me before with uhaul.
Bret SI was initially directed to pick up my reserved Cargo Trailer at a location that is not staffed by a person, therefore I was not able to pick up a cargo trailer at that location due to the requirement of a live safety inspection after trailer hook up. Once I was redirected to People's Auto in Canton, everything went very smoothly and the equipment was in excellent working condition. Easy pickup and easy return at People's Auto.
CHRIS MStaff was not helpful nor knowledgeable, and the location did not have the dolly rentals we had ordered. We had reserved a truck for pickup at the Gluckstadt location, but were told later they only had two-way rentals. The Uhaul site does not need to include the Gluckstadt location for one-way rentals if they do not offer that service.

rita nI first was set up to drop off at the HWY 16 in Canton Mississippi location. I would give this place minus 2 stars. They were not open at 8:40 on the day( Monday) of drop off. The Saturday before drop off day I called around 4 Pm and no one answered. They have the drive blocked and you can not even get you and your truck off the road. I will never recommend or use the location on HWY 16 Canton Mississippi. I also stayed on hold for 20 minutes waiting for a new location to drop off trailer.
John SWhen we got there to pick up the Uhaul at a little after 1, no one was there to help us. We had to come back about 30 min later. Trinity was very rude and told us we had to pay a $1000 fine for dropping it back off at a uhaul rental 2 blocks down the street.

SHEREE TI made my reservation 4 weeks in advance. 3 hours before I was to pick up the truck I got a call that the truck wasn't available where I had reserved it. I had to go 20 miles further away (1 direction, 40 miles round trip); and I HAD TO PAY THE 0,99 per mile! This is unacceptable. I spent an extra 40$ on a rental. I know the mileage is pure profit. I was gouged and taken advantage of because I had no other options. I will NEVER rent from U-Haul again. And I will spread the word to anyone who needs a truck that U-Haul will screw them. Glad you pad your profits off of people who can't afford to hire movers and have to do it themselves.
HERBERT BVery convenient access on Highway 51, I'm a little south of this location in Madison, but this was easy in and out. Yolanda Peeples assisted me and provided excellent service. Completely hassle free rental experience, check in was easy and fast. Equipment worked like a dream, although I had never used the car hauler before. Perfect for what I needed. Dropped it off when done. No problems whatsoever, easiest UHaul rental experience I have ever had. I rent Uhauls about three or four times a year. This will be my go to place/location if they have what I need on the lot. Thx Uhaul and thanks to the Peeples.

JO AI paid for a 26' foot truck. It was perfect for what I needed. I picked it up on 4/20/21. It was to be returned on 4/21 by 9am. I finished with it around 830pm on 4/20/21. I took it to this location to drop it off. The location was so dark I had issues finding it but once I arrived I parked the 26' truck on the end of the lot and dropped the keys in the box. I tried to check the truck in from my phone but the app would not recognize my location. The next morning I called uhaul to verify they had checked the truck in. The office admin advised me that they had. 3 hours later I was charged $132 for an additional day. I called uhaul customer service and they stated I still had the truck. Meanwhile the truck is sitting on their lot. They stated they would have to send it to the management in order to have my money refunded. I also call this location directly and left a message which was never returned. I was supposed to hear from someone at uhual by 4/26/21 but had not. Today I reached out to uhual again to find out that my complaint had never been sent and I have to wait another 1-3 business days for a manager to contact me. All of this could have been avoided had the staff at Peoples Auto in Canton taken the time to walk outside and see the truck on the lot.
JOHN MI'm very unhappy with this rental. First, I don't understand why my online quote for the rental was 74 dollars including taxes and insurance and then charged for nearly double of what I was quoted at 140 dollars. This feels very dishonest and misleading.
