I was traveling from out-of-state and needed a trailer for less than one day (a holiday) to transport a vehicle. There was a bit of a mix-up for the reservation yet I would say although the desk person was quite defensive about the issue originally, we were able to work through it and I was able to make the move, squeaking in the return of the trailer at closing. I recognize they have a drop box yet prefer positive confirmation that all is as I see it when I close the transaction. Thanks for the use of the trailer itself, it was really handy and I very much appreciated that Peter's was open on Labor Day.

I had visited the location and actually looked on the inside of the trucks previously. On the morning of the rental, I had movers packing my house while I was getting the truck, so was in a hurry. They gave me the oldest 26' truck on the lot, and it made my drive to Georgia miserable. The truck was filthy, with dried mud on the steps and on the floor mats. The back of the truck had not been cleaned as well with dirt and pebbles in it. Additionally, someone in the past had gotten some sort of adhesive or caulking on the wall of the truck, and on spots on the floor. This was not cleaned and ended up stuck to several pieces of my furniture, on boxes, and eventually staining my white carpet at my move destination! This older truck ended up not starting the morning I was due to drop it off for return! This was a horrendous experience. Someone needs to make an adjustment to my charges, and make this right!

The ratchet was all rusted up I had to put WD40 on it so I could use it. This is unacceptable I would expect the equipment to be maintained.

UHaul did not let us know where to pick up until about 15 hours in advance of pick up. I reserved this truck one month in advance a ta different location. This needs to be improved and is not acceptable.

(1) Get more inventory! Two weeks ago I had to drive 15 miles to get a 5x8 trailer.. Yesterday I had to drive 34 miles to get a tow dolly. Don't make the customers solve your logistics problems. (2) Do followup with your franchisees. The 1st check-in clerk was rude, insisting that I give her a 2nd phone number "in case they weren't able to reach me". When I said that I had just the one number, she stated the she'd just have to "cancel the reservation". I explained (a) my brother had died recently and I had been using U-Haul to clear out his house, (b) this was the first time anyone had asked for a 2nd phone number, (c) the U-Haul website doesn't require one, and (d) I wasn't going to give her anyone's number not involved in the rental. She huffed, entered something on the computer, and an older associate at the next register came over to finish the transaction without further incident. She was polite, but didn't acknowledge or offer an apology for her associate's behavior. (3) The tow dolly was structurally sound (it looked new), but the right fender was splattered with mud, and the chains for securing the towed vehicle were covered in oil or transmission fluid. Also, one of the rubber retainer clips was missing. I saw one in the parking lot on the way out and installed it, requiring that I clean my hands a 2nd time. I anticipate a few more rentals. I hope they will go smoothly. Thank you.

The cab had crackers crushed in the front floor. It was not visable from the door. When I dropped off the truck, I did mention the dirty cab.
