The mechanism that locks the straps was weathered and the one on the driver's side didn't remain in place despite centering it and tightening as tight as I could.

AMY WPick up was no problem. Drop off location not so good. 6 screws in my back & I had to disconnect myself.

sarah bThe man left a padlock on the trailer! I got over 60 miles away to where I was going to load it, way up in the mountains. The lock was so tightly installed that bolt cutters couldn't be used. No one around, everyone working away from this small upper mountain valley. I was on a short time frame, couldn't get loaded and on the road. Stopped numerous vehicles, like county and forest service workers, but no one could file it off! Made calls, drove around, no luck. Decided would have to drive over 60 miles (120 RT) back into town. Found a man at a guest lodge who had a grinder & got the lock off. Held up loading and my departure. Very stressful. Uhaul owes me some type of refund!

Mark RThe good rating IS ONLY for the staff at this location. I would probably never rent from UHAUL ever again if it wasn't for your great staff. The clueless boneheads in suits and ties that run company do a crap job and it shows. You have an UNDERSTAFFED CALL CENTER. For MY FIRST TIME I got flagged because the person I referenced had an alert. You should tell people that ahead of time. Who you put as your next of contact matters. Then the Call Center told me I had to go another location because of it. That location took care of me. SERIOUSLY, I wouldn't recommend UHAUL to a friend. If that to, it would be this location. This location made up for incompetence and greed from the corporate ding dongs running things. Make your shareholders happy and cut corners. You really do suck as company. I can't stress enough how this location made up for the mess that the corporate monkeys in suits made. The Pit Stop folks should be running things at UHAUL because who you have now don't know anything but numbers and profits. To be honest, I don't want use UHAUL ever again from my first experience but I'll tell you if I do, it's the Pit Stop folks. The corporate ding dongs in suits PLAYED NO ROLE in making things right. They corporate ding suits in suits made MY FIRST EXPERIENCE HORIBBLE. The PIT STOP FOLKS MADE IT BETTER. The corporate ding dongs in suits will probably post this. If they don't post this, I won't ever use UHAUL again. People need to know how the bad the company policy is.

James GExcellent pickup service. Owners still At location when picked up U-Haul. The online app froze up and was unable to process. Reservation was not at location, had to drive a total of 40 miles to pickup U-Haul. Owners Great help!

JANE EI don't know if this would be applicable, but when I called and spoke to an agent I was told to have my cell phone completely charged. I didn't understand how much this mattered. The only thing I could suggest is possibly having the agent explain how important it is to read the instructions (duh!) That explain the detailed process picking up the truck. I wI will also add that every Uhaul agent I spoke to was knowledgeable and kind!!! I would rent from Uhaul again and will recommend to my family and friends.

Gary SThe online reservation should make the pick up process smooth. Went to pick up my reserved equipment and still had to do paperwork, i.e. upload photos of my license that your system would not recognize. Had to manually input it with the name of another adult. The lady ASSUMED the man with me was my spouse and listed him as so. That was embarrassing. None of this would have happened if the online process requested all the information needed.

hal bI wasn't given a copy of a contract. I wasn't told there would be a fee for returning the truck after hours. In fact I was told it wasn't a problem. I wasn't even told where to leave the key. The woman in the office was far more concerned with helping her mechanic find an air filter for a Kia Soul than actually assisting or explaining things to me. Apparently I was also charged for fuel without being told.
Michelle CI spoke with someone on site 3 times to confirm availability of the truck I needed for my move.. The third conversation I made a reservation for a pick up a truck at a certain time. When I arrived at that time I was met by a gentleman that said the person I spoke to left for the day and that he and another gentleman knew nothing of my reservation or how to make one. Even though all of my contact information was provided noone called me. I took off work early, I paid movers for their gas and time. I was told to return at 9 a.m. the follow day and was met by the same gentleman and was told the person that I needed to talk to was on her way. Again I waited 30 minutes and no call no show. I asked the gentleman to have someone call me when they arrived because again I had cleared my morning schedule and paid movers. I never got a return call. I waited a day because I couldn't afford to keep playing tag. I called the 4th day and was told there were no trucks available at this location but they could locate one, but I would have to pick it up there and could drop it off at this location. I was told all I had to do was call myself to confirm that the truck was available and I did. I was not told that I would be charged by both locations. At the time of the reservation being confirmed I told them both that due to their causing a delay in my move it would be more than a 1 day rental. Both parties still never said there would be charges from both locations. I ended up keeping the truck for 3 days and was charged a 4th day because this location documented that I turned it in 8 hours past the time and it was 1 1/2 past the time. I've dealt with UHaul several times at different locations and was never charged a full day for a few hours. And I returned it with more fuel than I was supposed to and swept the trailer out. I pulled up my receipt from the pick up location it's not itemized. Not acceptable. When I dropped off the truck there was a gentleman in there who was not very polite either. Don't know if he was a customer or an employee. Very poor customer service overall. I have filed a claim to dispute the charges and have not been contacted by anyone on behalf of UHaul.
