It took 40 minutes to check me in on the equipment. They never told me to verify the speedometer. It took just as long to check me out. Computer problems.
Craig DrecktrahSeems your software is difficult for the end users to navigate. Check in and check out were both slow. Over an hour simply to get and return a trailer seems excessive.
Thomas ErtlMake sure the customer knows that you don't charge by the day and the mile for one way moving service. I drove the truck 346 miles and you charged my account $745 . I would not recommend uhaul to anyone for a one way move. A very unsatisfied customer .

Randy RobertsAlthough I had to go to three different locations to get the truck that I initially rented out of Stevens Point, Plainfield was the best customer service. Wisconsin Rapids was the next place I had to pick up after Stevens Point but was not available nor was the district manager available that made me wait for over an hour even though they were supposed to be open. Plainfield five stars, Stevens Point two stars for calling me 15 minutes before my pickup time and Wisconsin Rapids one star.

Nancy GrimesGenerally, they were a friendly, helpful group. However, initially they had a difficult time keeping track of details. If we had not checked in fairly frequently, we would not have had a truck. Not sure who "dropped the ball" so to speak. The good news is that in the end they came through. My call directly to U-Haul where I spoke with "David" pulled it all together.

Gary AndersonI picked a location in Oshkosh, WI. After it was booked, I then booked a hotel in Oshkosh, WI. The next day U-Haul called and told me the closest place was in Plainfield, WI. I asked how far away that was. She said 39 minutes. That was a lie, it was an hour and 5 minutes!! So we had to drive that distance to pick up the car hauler, which was an hour out of our way!! I will not use U-Haul ever again!! I did not know that when I selected the pick up location, it was only a preferred location.

Eric RichterOur initial reservation had a return drop off location of Wild Rose WI which is only 3 miles from our home. Night before we are told they no longer accept drop offs and would need to take it to Plainfield which is about 20 miles out of the way. We did get 15 miles credit but it also was an additional hour out of our time and gas to run there and back. Meanwhile there were all kinds of U-Hauls sitting at the Wild Rose location when we went to return the vehicle, this was disappointing. We assumed the truck was needed in Plainfield so we became the delivery person?

Corrine GuinnThis is a review of U Haul in general and not a review of the pick up location. U-HAUL needs to make the location where we choose to pick up the vehicle the actual location where the vehicle is. We had to drive 2 hours out of our way to pick up the vehicle. So while we weren't charged for mileage we did have to pay for the gas. So at the current price of gas at approximately $3 per gallon and the fuel consumption of 8 gallons per mile. And the fact we had to drive approximately 60 miles one way to get the truck it did cost us a significant amount of extra money.

Vicki LovingThis has no bearing on this location BUT your "traffic" division contacted us to say the truck was not back in the 2 days in which it was back at this drop off location is less than 24 hours. It appears after much leg work on my part that it was to the dolly being return to the original pick up location in Jackson WI. The individual was very rude and I did not appreciate her lack of even trying to resolve this issue instead simply telling me the truck was not returned. IT WAS HORRIBLE with each of the 3 calls I placed to this area. Your locations were both more than fine but this division of your company is lacking. Once again if I had to rate this area on a 1-10 scale it would get a 1 (HORRIBLE). Kind Regards, Pat Liedtke
PAT LIEDTKEI did not experience a problem with this location, they were professional and friendly. But, I did have a terrible experience with U-Haul!! I made my reservations 7 days in advance at a local U-Haul location. Five days later I got a call saying that they changed my pick up location to city 30 miles away and was told that this business did not open up until two and a half hours after my scheduled pick up time. I was told that if I did not accept this change, I was risking them not being able to fulfill my reservation. I asked if they would continue watch for availability in my city as this was going to be a big inconvenience for me and was told no. I was told that this happens when a customer makes "last minute reservations" (7 days?). Eventually they did offer to allow me to do a manual pickup prior to business hours were the keys would be put in a lock box and I could download an app and complete the checkout process online rather than having to wait for the business to open. The night before I was to pick up my truck I went online to get the U-Haul app. I was having problems logging on and had to call the 1-800 number again. This time I was told that the pick up location did not set me up for a manual pick up and that I was now scheduled to pick up my U-Haul in a city 53 miles away. At this point I was so frustrated I was literally in tears. The U-Haul rep that I talked to said that is the best he could offer and again, if I do not accept this change they would not be able to fulfill my reservation. I called early the next morning to see if there had been any trucks returned overnight closer to my home that would be available. This U-Haul rep found a larger truck about 30 miles away. Oddly while driving home after picking up the truck I drove past a U-Haul location in my hometown (the same city that I was originally scheduled for pick up) and there was the same size truck as I was given sitting in their lot. In the end it all worked out, but this was a super frustrating experience.....between all the changes and time wasted on hold waiting to speak with a rep (wait time for the three calls I made was over 30 minutes each time) I will certainly think twice before using or recommending U-Haul to a friend. It just seems to me that they could do a much better job securing a U-Haul for a reservation when they were given a weeks notice.
