I was over charged despite of mentioning that its wrong amount charged to me
Behroz RWe booked for 7:30pm, but the truck was not there. We had to wait till 8,3pm before booking an alternative for a higher rate to make the move. They said they will not charge extra for the alternative, but eventually they did. Very disappointing experience

Carolyn TYour app sign up has issues and I could not create an account. Your one time codes won't validate either in the app or the web portal. Employee of uhaul location said other customers had similar issues. Also I didn't get a contract to be able to figure out how much to fill up based on the chart. Had to fill up 3 times to get it to the right gas level. Very frustrating for a company that wants to have online check-in and returns.
Punit DHave someone in the office at opening 8am. The office was locked up and a sign with a phone number was posted. When you call the number it goes to voice mail. This caused many issues and a major delay. When you have people waiting to help you move it is very disrespectful to the customer.

ROBERT LThe location was 45 minutes from where I booked. Then when I get there no one was in the office. I finally find a piece of paper with a sharpie written note to call a number for assistance. I was told that the key was in a lock box. The lock was not locked. So had to drive an hour back to my old place to load up. I should not have to pay for that. The fuel was under a quarter tank so I had to put gas in it just to get home. . I've used UHaul a few times now and there is always an issue. I will never use your service and I'll make sure to tell people how terrible your company is.
JAMES HThe rental was good the only issue I had was using the app. After entering all kinds of information it just told me to go inside to get the keys. If I'd know I had to go inside I wouldn't od wasted my time on my phone. All else was good and the staff was friendly.

WILLIAM Mnothing i can think of. The person greeting me and getting me setup was very good, told me what i needed to do, told me what to do when i came back, if no one was around to put the key in the key box. So everything was excellent.

Diane Lwe found several empty beverage bottles under the seats, we were sent an email with the total costs, so we charged the client that amount, later on in the day , we noticed a different higher amount charged to our credit card we will be making different arrangements going foward

Ross DIt's a matter of degree. The back of the truck was not clean,per se, but was okay for the job. The visibility in the vans needs to be improved. There is a rear view camera, but I had zero visibility otherwise; the mirrors were not terribly helpful and I could not see out behind the cage. I've driven larger Uhaul trucks with more confidence, but this is all I needed this time.
Tom PReceived truck with 1/8th of a tank. Truck was dirty but did not have time to go over this with staff. Truck in generally poor condition.
TAYLOR MI would like my 50$ credit please I requested the uhul to be 6pm the guy called me and said I couldn't have it till 7 I didn't get into the truck around 7:23pm ish I had to buy a huge tarp to cover the back of the uhul because it smell like damp urine very upset about this and will never rent from that location ever again

Samuel AI paid an environmental fee for what it was paperless. The hole transactions paperless, so why would I get charged to fee? I booked for 9 o'clock in the morning. However, I got there at 20 mins to 9 am and I had to wait until 10 mins after 9 for someone to be present to take my information and give me a key for the van.
sharon rI was having trouble booking electronically . Staff member Barry arrived to assist me . I was almost through electronic booking but frustrated . Staff assistance greatly improved my ability to follow through online for next time .
STEPHAN RInterior of the truck was covered in coffee stains The app was not good at all, kept getting unavailable notifications when using the app. Man running the location was very helpful, and answered the phone when needed.

Sital MTruck was an absolute mess. It was old. Not sure why did the location alloted the old truck when they'd 3 similar trucks sitting idle (at morning when I picked up and the same 3 trucks standing as is in the evening during drop off). Very disappointed.
PRATIK LI was charged for a dolly that was not included in the vehicle. I had to call the customer service line for EVERYTHING in order to get the rental completed, it took over an hour and a half to get the vehicle. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had wth your company, and will never rent from a location like this again.
Andrew SEverything was fine but the truck definitely has some mechanical problems such as the transmission is smoked and shifts hard an way too high and the U-Joints on the driveshaft sound like they're going to blow out. It cost me $55 in gas to drive 134,8 kms! That's not cool. Just letting you know that something is wrong with that truck.
Graeme TWhen we showed up, the employee told us he couldn't find the key to the tru k we had reserved. After looking for a few minutes he came back and said he found the keys but the truck won't start. He offered to call another location to see if they had that size truck available (15ft). I told him we had people showing up at out house in 10 minutes to help us move so that wouldn't work. I asked what size they had available so we had to go with a 10ft truck. Because of that, instead of it only taking 2 trips to move our things, it took 4. That increased the amount of time it took us to move as well as the amount of kms we used. If you're going to rent equipment out that people are obviously needing at the time they requested, you need to make sure things are in working order prior. I have family moving in the next month and they have said they will not use this location after the issue we had.
Lesley WOriginal website gave the impression that representative would be there between certain hours! Maybe more clear that this is completely online. And in fact we couldn't complete on line and called for assistance, that went perfect.
David MThe 24/7 online pick-up/drop-off is convenient, but not during very cold weather, or any extreme weather in general. Having to use my mobile device in the cold weather with fingers exposed became very painful by the time I got my keys (these are the types of days I would wish there was a front desk check-in; at least you can be inside until the process is complete). Vehicles appear well maintained, as I didn't experience any problems with the driving (took some getting used to, as even a small van can feel like you're driving a large truck or bus). Cleanliness is about average, but considering what these trucks and vans are typically used for, it is pretty good. I did find a little bit of garbage in the driver's side door left behind from the last user (again, having a staffed office so that personnel can at least give the vehicles a quick vacuum and wipe would be helpful - not expecting Enterprise Rent-a-Car clean, but at least so you are not finding evidence of the next user).

Ed MI gave them 1 months notice and they decided to tell me the day before my booking that the location did not have my specified vehicle so I had to go to a different location. Was not told that new location was closed and had to switch to online check in. I have never had a good experience with U-Haul. Sadly they have a monopoly on the moving van business so I have no choice if I need to rent something.

Brad BTruck smelled so bad, I felt like throwing up. I'm glad it was a short trip. Also the check in progress did not allow me to upload pictures, kept looping on the upload. Otherwise the experience was fine.

Tracie RI went to this location because it said it opened and I was able to pick up at 8am, this is not true. I waited until 8:05am called and no answer. Called again at 8:15am no answer. As I was leaving there was a man and some athletes at the gym, and I asked him if he worked at the U-Haul, he said no but he would try to help me. He did got me the van and did everything he needed to, to get me going and I left at 8:30am approx.. Just to mention there were 3 other people waiting for help and after speaking to the man that helped, he said "she as in the employee" doesn't get there until 9:00am - 9:30am. I came back at 12:40pm and again no one working. I needed the invoice and copy of the bill for work, again called no answer. I left a message for them to send the invoice and didn't receive a call back but at least I got my invoice. Over all the worst experience, and I will say U-Haul never had great customer service nor did it have terrible customer service. The best part of this experience at this location was by someone that didn't even work there. Please update your hours, if you have a business show up on time or at all, answer your phone, and the van itself said low tire pressure which I got air for and there was an smell that wasn't too pleasant.
Ray TYou need to inform your customers for all fees in advance, Hour fees not informed in advance so i was charged every fees doubled ( initial fee and the insurance fee because I returned the equipment 4 hours later and ı could rent the equipment later than the reserved time cause the employee wasnt at the office in time

Valerie JThe desk was unmanned for near on 2 hours so we couldn’t ask for help with getting the keys out when the website inevitably didn’t work, The van was dusty and needs a good oiling in the door hinges, and the pricing is insane, we’ll rent from Home Depot next time

John WI didn't want to do self serve but there was no one there. They told me that there would be someone there for drop off but there wasn't. Not happy.. the first lock code they gave me didn't work and I had to get a different truck.
Michael TGreat service from the agent who served us with honesty, full diligence, maturity and a sincere smile in helping us in our needs. Recently my Visa & Bank account suffered a debit intrusion of which I had to cancel my Visa and had no way of moving to my new home in Sunderland Ontario. I was treated with respect when she allowed payment with cash which I am forever grateful in the allowing this cuz most companies don't and I work in Radio media/Film and Television and going to recommend UHAUL for treating me with decency and offered an alternative. Henrique AWhat a great experience, following a negative one. I was supposed to drop the truck off at a different location but wasn't able to. The 311 Brock St location went well out of their way to make sure I was able to check my truck in. The owner provided personalized and friendly service and I would recommend going there over any of the other locations in the area. Thank you :)
tanya vI had a lot of issues with the remote pick-up/drop-off. the pictures would not upload and then when they did, the site would not continue. I evenually had to get help from the office for pick-up, but they were closed for drop-off.
Michael RThe only difficulty was checking in because we did the online check in and it still took a while. The person at the front desk, no fault of his own, was new and had to be guided through the entire process so this also took a while and we were on a bit of a time crunch. But overall the returning of the van was fairly smooth and the van itself was in excellent condition.
Stephen WI was charged $16 for some type of coverage that I was not made aware of. The receipt should be given to the customer if not at least explain all the charges. I could not check the invoice until the next day on my email, and that is when I realized I was charged the $16 that I still don't know what was for. I emailed the UHaul based on the email provided on the contract asking for an explanation and did not hear back at all. If it was for insurance, it should be optional as my car insurance has coverage for rentals. I was not explained about that charge at all. If I was to recommend UHaul to a friend, I will have to explain to them that the rental fee is not $19,95 but it is $35.95.

STEPHANIE YVehicle was in rough shape. Steering was very loose and brakes were not very good. Service agent at location was kind and accommodating when I needed to upgrade to a larger vehicle.
