This has been the absolute best experience I've had with Uhaul, yet. EVERY other time has been a nightmare. From now on, I'm only using locations that have their own, non-corporate phone numbers. I wish every Uhaul center could take lessons from this one.

Reserved my 26 foot truck in a location close to my home a week and a half early. Received a text message that the truck would not be available in that location but that I needed to drive an additional hour to a different location to pick up the vehicle. Went to the additional location to pick up the vehicle and the vehicle was not there and I was told that it wouldn’t be there until the following day. I called U-Haul And they gave me a location that was an additional hour away. This is the second time this type of experience has happened. Overall I am tired of the U-Haul customer experience and not fulfilling their promises.

Tell the customer if they fuel the vehicle before returning it to the level on the contract (point to it) it will save them money & it might be beneficial to take a minute to read the fine print.

Filthy and couldnt see thru winshield. Rubber matt in back prevented everything from sliding onto vehicle, everything had to be carried in. I called to tell them i was going to be late. They told me they would just charge me for the day. Why not get charged for the hours used? So i told them i would return in the morning rather then driving all the way there. I could have just dropped it off. This place was terrible. I aske the kid who gave me the van to take a look at the scratches etc, he said “we don't care, as long as you bring it back in 1 piece”. My daughter who was waiting in her car heard it. There was also just 5/8 tank of gas, which i never rented a uhaul with less then full. I had to get gas first which wasnt on my route. Im really taken back by this experience. I never rented from this location. This is the 3rd rental in 1 year and by far the worst.

This is a country store that's probably been there for a hundred years or more, and the people are friendly. There was - the soap had run out in the bathroom, but that's a small thing in the overall picture.

I reserved a one way rental. I ended up with a round trip haveing to pay to return the truck because the location stated the truck was assigned to the location. Never heard that one. Very unhappy.

Very rude... hung up. Had problem with the reservation online and when I call store, they said I did not have to select the drop off location. I told her I had to select it just a few weeks ago but she said not to worry about it. A different girl (Elizabeth?) handled our reservation. We told her we were dropping it off in the town we are moving to. I asked why price was so much cheaper than the previous rental for the same drop off and she said because it was only 35 miles. We went to drop it off at the Kingston location and were told that it was set up for "in town" and not "one way". Our key tag said "one way" and we were not going to drop it off at at rental location we were moving from. He tried to have the Plattekill store fix it but she would not and was rude to him and hung up. I called back and asked her to fix it and all she would say was to call U-Haul and hung up. I called back and asked for her name and she hung up. Very RUDE and will rent from another company in the future. We wasted over an hour to try and fix this with Kingston. We ended up leaving truck there and were told that our card would be held for double the price (price of return trip) and to call on Monday to get this resolved. We wasted so much time in the middle of a move that was time sensitive. I would never recommend using U-Haul after this experience.

Location doesn't have a visible drop box to leave the keys after hours. I walked all over the parking lot and store, and there's no clearly marked drop box, especially for it being closed to 11pm, in total darkness. I called uhaul customer service number to ask someone what I should do with the truck keys, but no one answered. I had to take the keys with me back home, 30 minutes away, because I wasn't comfortable locking them in the truck. I returned the keys the next morning when the store was open. The lady that worked at the store said "there is a Dropbox for the keys, but I don't know where it is." it's acceptable that I had to waste my time and gas to bring keys back.

The entire rental experience was flawless thanks to the agency from which we rented the van. Registration was done online at the dealers suggestion, pick up and drop off were both seamless. From my point of view there is nothing that would make rentals from this agency better.

Either provide a drop box at all locations, verify that in-app information is accurate, or provide customers with another key drop-off option that doesn't require them reworking their travel & work schedules to acommodate UHaul's errors.

Location and customer service was great no complaints in that department. My concern is with uhaul it self. Uhaul trucks do not handle well on snow. Basically your tires are a hazard & must be replaced with better winter tires.

The representative at the location was pleasant. My experience with U-Haul was unpleasant and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I spoke to a representative over the phone to ask for extra miles due to the fact that I had to travel so far and it was a struggle. I was not happy at all.
