Manager refuses to wear mask indoors especially since his employee is morbidly obese. He said, "We don't play that game here" and chastised us for holding the door open while we were attempting to pay. First and last time there, but in my recent experience, all the U-haul reps in the Portland, ME area have no respect for anybody but themselves. Moving Help guys - excellent!Dennis H.

This location is great. I always rent here. However, if I must return after store closing, U-Haul's check in app is terrible! Luckily, I could count on Marc at the store to take care of it for me the next day!Ronnie H.

The guy was polite. Explained to me the insurance which I got. Told me about the gas and highlight a sheet of paper that he told me to keep in case I was in an accident. Unfortunately he made no mention to the piece of paper being a â€œcontractâ€. Which was never explained to me and I never signed. But not his fault. How was he or I supposed to know the booking agent put in the wrong drop off location. Just a mistake by the nice lady but Calling uhaul to fix there mistake was useless...especially â€œtraffic control managerâ€. Phone calls all had substantially wait times. Spent hours dealing with their mistake. I Was told repeatedly it was my fault by employees who did not even listen to the original phone call which would prove it was not my mistake. Uhaul says the calls are recorded to protect the promises they make to customers. What a joke that is. Erica â€œthe regional officerâ€ traffic controller that works for Massachusetts uhaul was the worse. She said I could drop it off anywhere and just would have to pay extra. First of all, people are not happy when you drop off a truck at the wrong location. 2nd off all, why am I paying for uhaul's mistake. I have since been told by a uhaul worker that she is known to be a â€œdizzy bitchâ€...which is not my phrase and I am not sure what that saying means. But she certainly is an annoying person and should not work for customer service but sounds like a great fit for uhaul. I was also told she is on probation for sucking...and I hope she gets fired. And I hope everyone that could not take 1 minute to put their selves in my shoe and help me out...ends up in the same position one day!!! And they think of how they treated me as they get ripped off and treated unfairly. I will never use uhaul again. I recorded much of it all. On Facebook now. Soon to be on YouTube under uhaul sucks. Bob, The Owners son in law checked my equipment in. I have never had such a disrespectful experience. Bob upset my Fiance, Laurette,to the point she was trembling. I had to separate them, and get Laurette to go back to her car. Bob told me to "Get The Fuck" out of his face, because I was 2 feet away from him... I/We managed to calm down, and Bob stated that he was glad we could end the interaction on a good "Foot" I responded "That was blown a while ago, May I please have my contract so I can leave". He said "Oh..it was??"... "Then just leave" I said "give me a copy of my contract and I'd be more than happy to". Bob responded "I already Fucking sent it to you, Now Get the Fuck out of here"....Samuel T.

Overall our experience was very frustrating but it had nothing to do with the Pleasant Hill Auto location. We were pushed to this location after the place designated for our original pickup - Marginal Way in Portland - assigned the vehicle to someone else after we checked in (via mobile) and had the truck assigned to us. We then spent an hour waiting while the associate at Marginal Way was incapable of solving the problem. Finally Shaun (the owner) was able to assign us to the vehicle (a smaller size than we needed) at Pleasant Hill Auto.Mark C.

Include a light by the lock boxes so people can take pictures easierâ€¦ Even a desk or something to set licenses on for photos would be handy. Maybe I missed something, but it would have been nice to get my photo and license photos done before hand, so we didn't have to do it in the dark when we are picking the truck up.Erin S.

Clean the vehicle, there shouldn't be a mask from the previous renter in plain sight in the cabin, there is more duct tape than actual truck. Felt like a giant death trap.Nina C.

The lot is a mess: vehicles all over, no clear indication where to park. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Maybe not the locations fault, but the hand truck was sliding around all loose in the back of the rental - not secured to the wall or anything.Joshua S.

The vehicle appeared not to have been cleaned after previous use, and had an unsavory odor. It most certainly had not been cleaned per COVID-19 guidelines. The proprietor was maskless and had signs indicating the use of masks was only reccomended, not required. They had a life-size cutout of Trump which indicated that they don't follow scientific guidelines. Would never use them or reccomend them again.Brian P.

The service rep was very rude to some of the other customers. The place is a mess. My interaction was fine and went smoothly. I would rent here again.Thomas F.
My only issue with pickup was that I had made the reservation for pickup in Standish. I had to drive 40 minutes to a new pickup location because there was no truck available in Standish. Somehow that equipment should have been moved to the pickup location I specified so that I wouldn't have had to drive that extra 40 minutes. But the staff at the pickup site was very friendly and professional.Bruce R.
Have more than one clerk at particular foreseeable drop offs of uhaul vehicles. The one clerk was excellent at what he did but the other worker was standing around chatting with a friend in the parking lot and the clerk had to tell him to help a customer waiting for a hook up of a trailer.Elton W.

Truck was missing a windshield wiper. Attempted several times to have someone come out and fix it. They never showed up or responded after I uploaded pictures. I drove 2800 miles home and the return location said I went over my miles and charged extra. Theblersin who rent me the truck in Portland main wrote the wrong millage down.. I also learned that the return location was changed without my knowledge that caused some problems yesterday. I was also charged for the safe ride insurance for about 150 $and uhaul was suppose to refund that. Still waiting. The winshield wiper issue cost me money and 2 extra days on the road and I feel there should be some reimbursement. This was a major safety Hazzard and the truck should not have been on the road.Sean S.
Rented truck 7 days in advance. Size I requested (17') not there on pick up day. All they had was a 10', no ramp, no dolly which I requested. Mark said it was a busy weekend. He simply gave my truck to someone else. The place is a filthy, cluttered, unorganized showroom. I will NEVER returnDonna H.
Issues were with online check in not with location. Mobile check in failed. Location owner helped resolve issues but also experienced very slow site performance. It took him almost 1/2 hour to get me in my truck after 15 minutes struggling with failed mobile checkin and no response from online check in support.Gregory M.

The customer service was excellent although the person I met with did not wear a mask (a sign indicated that he had a medical issue and could not wear one). He maintained a 6 ft distance requirement. The only other thing was a life size cutout of Trump in the store. He was kind of tucked to the side. A little strange. Otherwise, the truck was clean and fueled.
