The owner of the Port Henry Service Station was away on vacation, and the mechanic filling in for him was unfamiliar with the 10' truck and the procedure to get me going with it. I was there for an HOUR while the poor man wrestled with U-Haul to confirm my reservation WHICH I GAVE HIM A COPY OF!

John FMore precise location confirmation, Made reservation at Port Henry, Was given confirmation in Warrensburg Ny. location, was suppose to get a call back 3 days before the pickup date, NO call back, so when i called to find out @ 18:00 the dispatching office was closed, then two days before pickup was told by agent that it was in Westport Ny, on my way to Westport passed by Port Henry and there was 2 trucks available.

Howard HHave the agent accurately describe the contract regarding filling the tank. Agent told me to return tank at 1/8, same as pickup instead of telling me about requirement to return truck with 1/4 tank for credit.

Carl MI was sent to this location by UHaul because the Schroon Lake location was reportedly closed. When I got to Port Henry, this location was not open. The UHaul messages that I received while driving said I should go to Schroon Lake. I called UHaul for help, and at first I was told that I needed to go to Schroon Lake. After I explained that I had driven 40 extra miles to drop off the truck where UHaul wanted it, I was told Port Henry was full up and could not accept more one-way trucks. After I stood my ground, the representative relented. Then I explained that the key drop was broken open and would not close. There was already a key in it (who knows for how long). I was told to place my key in it and to take a picture of it in the box and a pic of the truck as well. I did that and went my way after being told my checkout was completed. Then, today, I got my bill. There was a $20 surcharge for the extra mileage I drove to take the truck to Port Henry (per UHaul's directions). I will not use UHaul again.

Donald WHad to settle for a smaller truck. Radio didn't work. High beams didn't work. Returned truck 12 hours early, no difference in payment.
ron mThe truck though clean had a VERY BAD wobble in the front end. It was almost undrivable. I used the truck because we had no other options that day.

Cecile MU-Haul needs to let the customer know that the location will be open or closed before the customer arrives at the location. The U-Haul sign at this particular location needs to be larger so it is more easily seen from the road.

BOB TScheduling forced me to drive 2,5 hrs to get the trailer that should've been provide much closer to my location. This is Not the local dealers matter or issue - scheduling department is very very poor. I am not happy with scheduling at Uhaul!

Barbara EI was charged for 65 plus miles but I only went 15 not understanding this also tires on the back of the truck are terrible and had to get pulled out twice in spots that I should’ve had no problem with flat surface please let me know what’s up with the mileage I picked it up with 109 250,8 miles on it and returned it with 109265. 6

tom dI arrived at 8am to pick up my equipment and it was not ready, I had to take only the truck and return later to pick up the auto transport, mind you this took an hour out of my day to handle on top of actually having to load my stuff up. On top of that they never cleared the snow from the trailer or the box truck. Very stressful experience.
Jason ZThis pickup facility was nearly 90 minutes away which was very inconvenient. The personnel were very friendly and helpful, but this is a gas station which appears to deal mainly in local customers. Other than location, this was a good place.

Alison RHad an issue this time I changed pickup date and the person I spoke with said that the dealer was open I drove 45 mins there and back the place was closed... then the windshield wipers were shredded and of course it rained the entire trip then you have the nerve to charge me almost 10$ for mileage.. look my account up I’ve used Uhaul many time in the past years not a good way to treat a loyal customer. ??

Marla RYour website showed a trailer available at location that I originally wanted to pick up, only to find out that I had to drive 40 minutes each way out of my way to get the trailer. You need to present trailer availability when reservation is made, not the day before. Aside from that, no other issues.
Edward MThe transmission in the UHaul was sluggish. It had a little trouble going up some of the hills. It also had some trouble going from a stopped position to accelerating. I mention this to the employee when I dropped it off in New Windsor, N.Y.
