I made my reservation on the 2nd of November for the 29th of November and called 3 days prior to make sure everything was in order for the pickup of a 15" truck and transport trailer, they told me everything was good, when I got there the man in front of me got my truck, it had been double booked, so I had to run down another truck, then return to pick up the car transport trailer, the guy that hooked up the transport sai everything was good to go so I left and soon as I crossed some railroad tracks the transport jumped off the truck and cut the wires into, so I had to return to the place where I just picked up the trailer and they repaired the wires for the lights, brakes an turn signals. U-Haul was good about giving me a extra day and 10 additional miles. When refueling the truck to 7/8 of a tank for turn in, the fuel gage was reading 5/8 of a tank and could not get any more gas in the tank and when I started driving it went to over full and this is on a new truck with just over 5,000 miles on it, so be sure when renting a truck that you, yourself check everything your self don't take there word for it, cause I was already pressed for time and all the problems I had was all uncalled for.

We were over charged for mileage. The dolly and blanket seals were broken when we opened the door and we were charged for the use of them as well. The truck stayed in overdrive the entire time we used it.

I was charged for the utility dolly and furniture pads and I did not use either of them. I called customer service and they turned in a complaint.

It was dirty, one tire was low but went flat when the car was loaded. I took the trailer to a new a car dealership across from where I loaded the car they found two different size tires and loose lug nuts. Know how confident would you feel if you had a few hours to get from Ohio to fl. I worried about the trailer the whole trip.

The staff were friendly. I had ordered 2 dolls. The store rented me one of theirs because there were no dolls. I ordered furniture blankets but they were short what was ordered. I had checked in but had to do whole process of checking in. I called that I was running late. I only had truck for 7 instead of 8 hours. I would still recommend.

When I called to reserve a truck I was told I would get 50 free miles. When I went to pick the truck up I was told that wasn’t true. They told me I was notthe first person that had told them this. If they are not going to give hou the miles they should not tell you they are.

We were made to take larger truck with larger cost. We were told nothing could be done even though there was a reservation for smaller cheaper truck. When they have you in bad spot they certainly take advantage. It’s just bad business

Verify that the equipment will be there when you go to pick it up. We had rented a 5x8 trailer and when we arrived, only a 4x8 was available. To their credit, they had called my home number a couple of days before to warn me that it was not going to be available. Nearby locations did not have any either, but we made the 4x8 work in the end. No fault of the local U-Haul dealer, since the 5x8 was supposed to be incoming to their location and in the end it did not.

Was over charged... said the tank was 1/2 full (i took photos of the gauge/odometer) i had to put 5 gallons of gas in for 30 miles... was charged for 40 miles at rental, went 31 miles and received no credit for the 9 miles which is roughly $7.

I had to have it pulled out of mud 3 times due to no tread on rear tires. It cost me $165 plus the rental fees and mileage. I will look for a different rental in the future

I feel like there should be something Uhaul could do for someone who locked their items in the truck. I paid for the insurance or whatever it was and was hoping that there was a way that could’ve helped me when I found that I’d left a few things inside of the locked truck.

Ordered blankets they didn't have enough and they were dirty. Headlight out. Wiper fluid didn't work. Windows were dirty inside and out. Not in location I chose!!!!! Almost one hour away. Truck NOT in best shape for driving 60 to 65 MPH NOT happy

The pigtail on the truck didn't work. I had to rent a trailer because your reps didn't advise me well on what size truck to get for my move. When I picked up the trailer at a different location, the staff there didn't check the lights or test anything. So, when we loaded and started to leave at 10 pm that night, the lights on the trailer didn't work. We have to call roadside assistance to come out. He was there till midnight and didn't get it fixed. It delayed us starting our trip till 9 am the next day cause he had to go to a U Haul store and get an new pigtail. Most unprofessional service from both U Haul places and your staff that told me the size truck to get. it ended up costing me a lot more money than I had... I will NEVER use U Haul again and will let all my friends know of this fiasco...

I returned the truck before it was due. They never logged they received it. I received a call from Uhaul 9 days later to see when I would return it and the dealer acted as if it was no big problem that they didn't realize they had the truck the entire time. It scared me to death to think someone might have stolen it.

I think my mileage was wrong, but have no way to prove this. I think I was charged double mileage, so it was either read wrong when I returned it or entered wrong when it was returned from the previous customer.

My experience locally is always top notch, HOWEVER, this year corporate seemed to, so to say, stick their nose in the operation of the local franchise. I made my reservation on March 13, 2016 for the use of a UHaul vehicle on May 5-8, 2016. I know that parents of the local universities students rent vehicles to move the kids home. I did not appreciate "Roberta White" calling the local UHaul outlet and demanding that I return the vehicle. The next renter made his reservation on May 2nd. I really think it is very unprofessional for a corporate contact person to hang up on the local outlet employees, not nice "Mary". I will continue to rent UHaul's from this outlet in spite of the corporate interference. By the way, I already have my reservation in for May 11, 2017. The Ace Hardware/Vandervort's in Portsmouth, Ohio is a top notch crew!!!!!

When I rented the truck I was told that I had to rent it for 2 days BUT if returned it within 24 hours I would only be charged for 1 day. However, I was still charged for 2 days.......this miss-representation was very very disappointing......Jeff Woodard

I had requested 48 furniture Pads, there were none available. The trucks power steering was not working right and neither were the brakes. I have used Uhaul many times before and this is the first time I have actually had to complaint about anything.

The employees went out of their way for us. There was a parade route where the U Haul was parked and they drove the U Haul to a parking spot that we were able to easily get on the road on and made sure that it was not blocked in while they were waiting on us to arrive. I would recommended Ace Hardware in Portsmouth Ohio for a pick up and drop off for U Haul!!!
