Many online issues and error codes meant that I could not access the truck when needed. Location of key safe was very hard to find in the dark and it being the first time at that location. All of which resulted in me unable to gain access to the truck when needed, cutting my desired hire time down and unable to complete intended tasks.
Callum MRented a Cargo Van for the day to move. KM were wrong on the paper work from what was listed on the van (luckily I took a picture) when I noticed and went to return the van after and asked for this to be fixed the owner said she had to close off the file and that there would be a charge for more than what it should be but it would be reimbursed. When I went to get a reimbursement from haul for the owners mistake it took 5 phone calls over a month and didn't even get reimbursed for the whole amount, no extra compensation for the inconvenience and the owner after the van was dropped off kept saying there was nothing she could do. She recognised the issue in person and failed to help resolve the problem and passed the problem over to the client which is not fair.

ROBERT JI had to drive to Nanaimo from Victoria to pick up the truck in one days notice. Luckily I was able to get a ride but it was really inconvenient and could have ruined my whole trip. Gotta do better.
Lucas SI had my reservation set up to check in with my mobile. I wanted it for 8 am. My booking was changed to 8:30 because I could only check out the vehicle once the company was open. In the end it was close to 9 before I was able drive.
Amanda SDear U-Haul, On June 2, 2024, we made a reservation (84423059) for a 15 foot Uhaul at 644 Queens Ave, Victoria, BC V8T1M1 to pick it up on September 27th, which we would then drive to Kelowna. On September 26th we get a text from U-Haul that our truck will be ready for pick up at 85 Cliff Street in Nanaimo, BC. We phoned Uhaul and it was confirmed that this was the only option for us. This was very stressful as we had not been accounting to get our Uhaul in a different city that is 111 KM away. This added a considerable unaccounted for cost to our move - return trip with our car to Nanaimo and added fuel costs for driving the Uhaul to Victoria. Not to mention that we lost 5 hours of valuable packing time that we had planned on. When we phoned Uhaul the only considerations they made were to increase our mileage allowance and give us another day for returning the truck. Both of these actions are not nearly enough for the added costs we had to incur, time that was lost, and stress added to our already stressful lives that preceded our move. Furthermore, we did not need the extra day to return the truck and return it on time (just as we had already planned) with a half tank of gas (we received it at a quarter full) We ask that you review this file and properly compensate us for the added fuel costs (both for the 15 foot Uhaul and return trip for our car), as well as for the anxiety, stress, and tension that was created during our move. As a first time Uhaul customer this was an incredibly disappointing experience. Sincerely, Lukas Hahn

Casey WArea difficult to maneuver. Was not clear where it was safe/legal to park the uhaul. Lots of no parking/ towing zone signs. Staff were able to repark the uHaul for me though.
Lucas PBut, the equipment I ordered was not available. I ordered the full set of furniture blankets, we received only 3. And the type of dolly we ordered was not there, but was replaced by the other.

Ashlee GThe location was listed as GAP motors but was under another name. Next to no parking for drop offs. The staff had no knowledge of this drop off. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Again, overall good experience with the staff being very friendly and helpful.

Jarrell dI handed the keys to an attendant and checked in the car. She assured me I was finished and could leave. I drove home to Victoria. The next morning the car had not been checked in properly at drop off location and I had to call around looking for it and file a case with the UHaul hotline number. I was told there was nothing they could do to help me. Extremely disappointed.
Laurel GI have no suggestions for improvement. The gentleman who served me was extremely kind and gracious -- especially since I arrived a few minutes late, at the end of the day. The vehicle was in great shape, and was exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this location, and commend in every way the service I received. Thank you. M. T.

Murray SIf there was a 10 foot cube van at this location I could have rented that one instead and saved $50 on the gabriola ferry . Can we please get one at that location so next time I can rent it . Thanks

Leanne DI originally booked a van and when I arrived, the van wasnt there. The employee called the renter of the van and they indicated that they were out of province and will not be returning it in time. Employee was very apologetic and accommodating. She found another vehicle which was slightly bigger and did not charge extra. I only say the van wasnt clean as I had to clean the side mirrors as they were dirty and had very limited visibility
Ernie LBrittany and John at the Cliff Streer Practicar Nanaimo location made what was going to be a steep and difficult moving day...THAT MUCH EASIER.!!! ( i phoned them directly to say as much ) Brittany was succinctly extraordinary. Albeit I left the truck in a much cleaner state than I received it I am nothing but grateful for their help and support getting on the road with ease and safe travels... Thank u so much... B.W.S.
Barry SI did an after hours drop off on a Sunday afternoon. There was little to no parking available. Very difficult to find a place to park the truck.
ANTHONY QThe van needed an oil change making it difficult to know the kilometers. The seats were dirty. One of the employees was lying down on the couch, then stood up to get the van and then jumped onto the couch again making it an uncomfortable environment.

Grace BWe called the Cliff Street location prior to closing to enquire about after hours drop off. We were given instructions to leave the vehicle and put the key in the drop box, which we did the day before we were required to return the vehicle. Employees at this location neglected to check the vehicle in for two days, resulting in additional charges. We are now left to resolve the issue with customer service. Good thing we took photos of the vehicle in its parking space!
Monty MWe reserved a utility dolly with our van rental. When we went to pick it up, we were given an appliance dolly which was not helpful at all as we were not moving any appliances. When we requested a refund over the phone for the $25 we paid for the dolly, they said they would refund it but we were only refunded $7. It was a frustrating experience.

Lesley FMan working there had absolutely no idea what he was doing. Completely scammed us, added charges, changed prices, took me for almost 3 times the original rental cost. Van was as dirty as any average uhaul (fairly). STAY AWAY

brian wThe keys to the van I rented were lost . I ended up having to use a U-Haul van a quarter of the size I needed . Had to make multiple trips cause of it and spend more on gas and time as so many trips with smaller cube van and having to use my suv ,husbands suv and our van to fit everything . The staff were excellent but ,nope there is on where to put keys when done and check them in before leaving .

STEPHANIE DNeeds new wiper blades in this truck. They scrape against the window and are very loud. If left unchanged they will begin to damage the windshield.
Joel HI rented the truck and paid for all the equipment. After checking the truck, there was no equipment inside the truck and I had to move all my stuff without a dolly.I called customer service but they just passed together. I had the worst experience with you guys
