I don't mean to diminish the location....just a bit different because it was like 3 business' in one. Signage on where to enter wasn't clear. The gentleman who helped me was great. Transaction was quick. The guy that helped hook it was great too. So the experience was excellent....location was just average.Brent S.

It was easy to rent and I was upgraded at no extra charge. Attempted to do on- line but that did not work. Customer service was great!Jane R.
The problem was NOBODY AT ALL in the entire establishment was obeying the state mandated COVID mask requirement. They had a sign posted stating that it is required, but none of the employees even had a mask visibly on their person. They were not even pretending! They were putting my health and possibly my life at risk in order to have a political hissy fit.marjorie D.

Just make sure the adapter for the trailer brakes is in place as the trailer was hooked up and ready to go but missing the adapter. Road side service had to come 100 miles to hook adapter up to.Ross S.
Make sure you check the fuel levels when dispatching a vehicle. My dispatch stated I had 3/4 of a tank but I only had 1/2 a tank of gas. I took photos of when I picked up the vehicle and dropped it off. Since the systems were completely down when I picked it up I could not correct anything. After I dropped off the uhaul and got my receipt in an email several days later, again because the systems were still down, I sent an email to show the photos of the gas levels and I never received a response. Instead I got charged for 10 gallons of gas that were never in the tank when I picked it up.Andrew F.

The rental truck was clean and ready to go. We had ordered furniture dollies and there were none available. We had to find our own. The service otherwise was very good at this location. The drop off site at Western Ave in Sioux Falls SD would not take the truck. We had to bring it to another location.Philip B.

Give the customer an estimate of fuel use as I picked up the unit with 3/8 fuel and brought it back over 3/4. This seams like it takes advantage of good customers and favors poor as the poor will bring it back under the pick up amount.Barry A.

It would be nice to be able to reserve several days ahead of time, instead of the day before. Then we would feel that at least we will have the trailer we need for the day we scheduled it for.DON M.
First of all... I felt the facility was understaffed. It was also a tire repair place and U-Haul was not first priority. - Next: Asked the young man behind the desk if he knew of any independent contractors that assisted with moving. I explained that when I tried to "Google" it that the U-Haul and web said that this service was not available in this area. He told me to go to the college or call the main desk at the college. I explained that I had tried that and all I received from the college that said they did not solicit like that. So, when I explained this to the young man at U-Haul he stated, "Well that's what we do here when people need help and that's what we tell everyone." I proceed to tell him that when I moved into my home in Oshkosh last year that I hired help "through U-Haul" from independent contractors and it worked out wonderful. Your employees responsed with, "Well this is a do-it-yourself ~ that's why we are called U-Haul.... you do-it-yourself." At this point, I stated, "This may shock you young man, but U-Haul DOES offer a service, in most parts of this country, that allows an individual who is moving to hire assistance through independent contractors... you may want to tell the owner about that or do a little research." Next: When your employee went to hook the 6' x 12' trailer to my 2006 Silverado 2500, I discovered that my trailer plug connector/adapter was missing. I wanted to purchase another one and he told me that I had to go to Runnings across the street or an automotive store. I just don't understand this - how can you legally send a trailer out with a customer without lights... that's against the law? How can a U-Haul that is connected to an automotive repair not offer "Required Equipment" ??? So, I left and drove to Runnings. When I hooked my adapter up to the trailer... the top right cargo light was in-op and the back right lights flickered. Let's talk about the 20' van... it was not until we had departed that my driver to me that the transmission was extremely clunky when running through the gears. At this point with still having to load my van/trailer.... we drove it just as it was given to us.Yvette B.

Received a very rude phone call following our rental. Accused us of driving 10 times the miles that we did. Originally were not given the size truck that was reserved so we already had twice the miles that we were expecting and twice the time. No compensation was given. after a couple phone calls back and forth we learned that it was a dispatch error with mileage on their end. I wouldn't use the service again. Very unreliable. Very upsetting to be up in the air not knowing if we were even getting a truck before our lease was up then twice the time twice the gas twice the mileage and then their errors get us yelled at. Very UPSET you wouldn't allow the vendor in New Ulm MN rent is the 20' he had so instead charge us OUTLANDISH rates cause before we even made it back to NEW ULM MN we were going to run over in miles. Should be your cost since you wouldn't let the truck goBetty F.
