I reserved my uhaul online and someone called and left a message saying that my uhaul was not available. When I called someone named Denise answered me, she was the rudest person on the phone, raised her voice at me and yelled. She wouldn't let me talk. I filed a complaint, they told me I was going to be contacted and I haven't heard from no one. Worst customer services ever

The gas station/ UHaul rental closest to my house would not accept my trailer because my paperwork did not specifically list their address. Called Corporate and they wanted me to drive 6 miles down 8 and 10 lane and very busy I-45. I told the agent about non working tail, brake, and turn signals, and she agreed it was dangerous and called the location I was at to tell them it was ok for me to leave the trailer there. They wouldn't answer the phone so I walked back into the office with agent on my cell phone and agent told them to accept my trailer. They agreed after getting confirmation number from U-Haul agent. I told those guys at the about the light problem and they were unconcerned with my or others safety, but at least the UHaul agent was understanding and cleared up the problem.

The online checkin service was a failure: the app crashed and information flow didn't happen. Chat feature still didn't solve the problem. The gentleman inside the convenience store was entirely helpful and courteous and got the job done. Do not recommend the online checkin.

The drivers floors was dirty and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get charged for it. Truck was given to me as is. I had reserved a furniture roller and it wasn't available. The attendant didn't let me know because he was busy with the store.

I was very disappointed with U-Haul becuase the nearest location that was handy for me to pick up was changed - without asking me first to a location further away and through much heavier traffic. I was not happy about that at all, especially when after picking up U-Haul sent me an email telling me that I could drop off the U-Haul at any location I wanted to. I had decided on my best pickup and drop off locations and the one that was most critical was changed. I expected U-Haul to give me a discount for their inflexibility and poor planning. The location was not marked well - the U-Haul office was in a gas station and I had to go find it. There was a small U-Haul sign outside and I saw a couple of trucks, but I was not sure I was at the right location when I stopped. We stopped next door first and then walked back to find the correct store. They did not have the correct drop off location on record. I would have expected them to know that. I had to call and find out for them.

The gentleman who rents the Uhaul was awfully rude. He stopped my transaction 4 different times to help other people instead of me who came after me. His response when I got frustrated and told him he needed to finish with me instead of helping other customers, he said "I run a convenience store first, if a customer comes in I take care of them and you wait" Also, I believe my bill went up as well from what I was originally quoted.

The persona on the phone was very friendly, but it was never brought up to me and the person at the location didn't know anything about this. He was friendly but apparently does not have the training... very frustrating the lack of information ....

Person who gave us the keys was very nice and told us to not worry about having the vehicle back until 10 since they would be here as it is a gas station. We told him that we'd have it back around 6ish at the latest. Dropped it off at 6:10 and was told “you're supposed to have it back by 3” which almost DOUBLED our charge since it was now deemed “late”. We told them what happened and was just told again “it says you're supposed to have it by 3.” Will not be using or recommending uhaul ever again.

Trucks need to be inspected prior to re-renting them. Gas tank had missing top vapor cap and I spilled 15 plus gallons fourth of the tank, of gas on I-45 before some one flaged me down. Truck had to be repaired before I could continue.

I did my reservation online 5 days before I needed the truck. I picked a major U-Haul location not far from my house because I knew they would have everything on my contract. I received a call that informed that I had to go in the opposite direction and farther distance to get the truck. I didn't complain and went to pick up the truck at a location that turned out to be a convenience store. The manager would wait on me between convenience store customers even though I had used expedited pickup. On top of that, he didn't have the blankets on my contract. I had to go to the original U-Haul location I had chosen to get the blankets, which were not ready and had to be bagged. I spent almost two hours just getting the truck and blankets which put me way behind on my trip. I do want to say that the employees at the original location where I had to go to get the blankets were more that accommodating and never complained about having to get the blankets.

The trailer was in such bad shape that I was not even able to use it to transport my vehicle. It didn't feel safe at all. The tail lights didn't work either. I felt like this was a waste of MY time.

The gentleman working was doing his best, but this was one of the worst U-Haul experiences I've had. I got there at 9 on the dot for my pickup and didn't leave till 10:30 because U-Haul doesn't ensure these random gas stations have the right equipment to sign people in. I even did a pre checkin, so it literally should have been just walk in and out. There was even another group of people who came in expecting to pickup their U-Haul truck but there was none of them there. Really hope they fix their operations.

If I had not have used my GPS to find the address I woulf have passed this place up. No signage to identify the location as a U-haul dealer. Only 1 small truck parked in front of an old run down C-store. The trailer In rented was behind the store. The attendant acted as if the rental process was an inconvience to him. He did not have a computer in the store so he was trying to complete the rental agreement on his personal I-pad. He could not get the transaction to work so He called his boss and handed me the I-pad and his cell phone so his boss could talk me through the rental aggrement. I had reserved my rental to be picked up in Cleveland TX but when I called to confirm the reservation , the phone numbers were no longer in service, I called the 800 customer service number and the attendant informed me that the location was closed for the weekend and the closest location was Conroe, TX which was 35 miles past my destination. The pick up location was only about 3 miles from a Full service U-Haul dealership on I-45 in Conroe. I don't know why they selected this dump for me to pick up my rental. This location is a poor representation of the U-Haul brand. I could tell that the attendant had no concern for my satisfaction. I did get a $50.00 credit on my card for the location change, with that kind of service the rental should have been complementary and only charged for the insurance. Not happy at all with my reservation , confirmation and pickup experience.

They didn't have the requested Dolly, and didn't write it down in the contract. They also didn't write down the missing bottom side mirror. By the time I'm returning the equipment, if the receivers Laura and Rod didn't help me out and walk me through the entire process, I will be there paying for things I didn't receive.

We filled the gas tank completely full of gasoline, however, the manager didn't believe us, because the tank gauge showed the needle ever so slightly below the full mark. We therefore had to go through the extra hassle of PROVING that the tank was full by moving the 26' truck over to a pump, and attempt to fill the tank for a second time. The pump went click, click, click...see? It IS full and isn't taking any more fuel? We aren't trying to cheat you!

The uhalul location I thought I had selected in conroe was where I wanted to do business. Not happy with your website, and how it directs me to the smaller rental locations when you have a larger location closer to my house.

The location is surprising - it is not exclusively a UHaul location (which is what I was expecting). The person who helped me (owner?) was fabulous - a few taps on a phone, and I was good to go!

The staff member was not knowledgeable about any of the products and had no answers for any questions that I had asked. He was also not willing to help in any way such as helping me with the hitch on the trailer and this is all due to because he had no knowledge of the produce to told me to just look it up. Your 800 number support SUCKS SO BAD! The store was great but I had to call the 800 number and between the first agent transferring me to the wrong STATE, and the second agent coughing and yawning on the phone also providing WRONG information I gave up called the location where I picked up the trailer. They were EXCELLENT and took WAY BETTER CARE of my issue than the HORRIBLE 800 agents did. I will NEVER recommend ANYONE call your 800 number for ANY reason. I will however recommend two locations that are amazing.

Will explain in detail but first I was told I would be given a credit of $100.00 For all my troubles and to no surprise that hasn't happened either.. I wanted to pick my truck and transporter up at Gladstill location but was sent up the road to dealer who has NO business being a dealer I even called uhaul to see about getting back to Gladstill was told dealer was only about 5 miles away when I told uhaul I was concerned about getting transporter from a mom and pop store I was told no problem they know what there doing. WELL THEY DIDN'T..... When I ask dealer was he going to hook up transporter to uhaul help me get my suv on transporter he told me " NO DON'T KNOW-HOW GOOGLE IT !!!!!!! This was my first time using a transporter I was already a lil worried only to be told to Google it. So after HOURS on phone trying to get in touch with UHaul about getting me help to send someone to dealer to help me with transporter finally got someone to transfer transporter rental back to Gladstill where THEY HOOK UP transporters all day I was then faced with how am I'm going to get my suv from dealer ( where I left when picked up uhaul) over to Gladstill for hook up. Couldn't find any help with that so drove u haul back over to Gladstill where myself And Autistic child had WALK to dealer pick up my SUV drive it to Gladstill for loading.. After all this we had 40 mins left to unload storage room before locked in for night. We litterly threw it all In truck and got out b4 gates locked only to have to pull over and reload the back of uhaul and i mean unloading at least half of truck. Then i know was because of stress the 5 hr drive to Sherman took over 10 hrs. So ya worst experience ever. I THiNK I should be refunded the entire amount of $400.40 Which btw the dealer never gave me a contract was only suppose to be $329.00 he didn't ask me fur my card just charged the one I used to reserve which I didn't want was going on my mom's card she was going to pay. I'm sure there's more to tell but I'm tired of dealing with it to be honest.. So is u haul going to do there right thing here and refund my entire experience !?!?

I have rented trailers and trucks from Uhaul many times. The initial location gets low ratings not so much because it is a feed store, but because when I arrived to pick up the trailer it had none. I was told it was only a 'preference' location but no one had communicated to me in advance that no trailer was available there. I backtracked about 12 miles from where I had just come to pick up a trailer at an even worse place near the Woodlands, which was a location that seems to do just a little of everything but nothing particularly well. The attendant told me to hook up the trailer and he woiuld come out and take a picture once it was ready to go. The rear door was jammed up and wouild not close, and he just said it was OK when he checked it in. I got it to where it would work, but the service overall related to the pickup was very disappointing. Uhaul, if you are reading this I would like my $50 for the trailer having not been available as promised and for no one at Uhaul having communicated with me in advance a different pickup location.
