i felt a little uneasy about dropping off the truck at an unmanned location.

I requested to pick the truck up in Hope Indiana and no one from UHaul bothered to call me and inform me that the truck had to be picked up in North Vernon Indiana. Between waiting on hold for UHaul customer service and driving to and from North Vernon, I lost several hours of my move time the first day.

We needed a truck in Seymor, IN. But we were transferred to North Vernon which was 30 mins away. We went to 1511 E Buckeye St. It was not staffed. We had to go to another location to get the key and then go back to pick up the truck. We were not told about the requirement to completely clean the truck prior to dropping off. As a consequence, we were charged $25.00 for a small piece of scotch tape left in the truck. And we were asked for the contact info again, even though we filled it online.

I got charged $79.00 after drop off and don't know why as yet. The truck leaked in the attic area and I didn't have a chance to notify them.

The drop off was an unmanned office so I cannot comment on the cleanliness of the facility or the personnel. I had to drop off the keys in a drop box. No one called me the next morning to verify that all was well. I called them and received a verbal assurance that everything was in order, but I have nothing in writing to document that. I thought that would be nice so as to have something in hand in case this became an issue later. I did leave the truck cleaner than I received it.

We schedule to pick up the Uhaul @12 pm and it wasn’t ready till after 4 and when we picked up no one was there to check us in with the truck and Receipt and keys were in the truck at the other location. Which put us behind schedule for packing and delayed or time to travel.

The trucks are stored at a different location than the office. I entered in the address, went to the location only to find a note on the door that said I needed to call this number. So I had to go to another location to fill out the paperwork and get the key. Then I came back to pick up the truck. Just extra time since the office was a few miles away from the trucks.

Inform them that if they pay cash there will be a deposit charged or simply charge it regardless. Also slow more then 1 hour to be late and make it more noticeable that these rules are there in the first place.

No pads as per schedulers. 30 miles to pick up trailer. The go to second location for paperwork. The lady was a smartass on the phone. Then 30 miles back to home. And stop at another location in seymour for pads.
