When I called U-hail they said the Dealer has charged me $30 for Cleaning fees. I have pictures I gave them the Vehicle as it is. So, always check your Receipt if you do any transaction from this place.
VISHALKUMAR BI rented a large trailer, when I returned it here I got no assistance to unhook and leave trailer. With this trailer disconnecting is a 2 person job.

ERIC MI got the van dirty, i did my move then swept it, yet the carpet in the cargo van was hard to get the dirt already there out. So I got charged a cleaning fee of 25 dollars because i didnt take a pic if it before i loaded it i will never use u-haul again!!!
CHARAINE BThe trailer I had rented and paid for was completely out of service, the lock mechanism on it was so close to falling off with just a touch, the chains only had a carabiner holing the chain the the trailer and one of them had no hook on the end and the wires were showing copper. This was a disgusting experience and I truly hope that my money gets returned in full. I will not be using u-haul again after this
CHRISTOPHER SThe staff member I spoke to during the pick up was super friendly, and offered great service. She was nice and the remainder of this review has nothing to do with her specifically. The service was 5 star, the truck itself was 0 stars. The UHaul Truck I rented was not clean. There were really old melted candies and candy wrappers in the cabin. The floor was covered in old sunflower seeds (some chewed and spit out and some whole ones that were dropped under the seats). This food caused an ant infestation prior to my pickup. Upon picking up the truck, I swept and cleaned out the front cab, as it was covered in very large black ants. I did the best I could. However, there was still ants everywhere and driving across country (Southern Ontario to Saskatchewan) was quite uncomfortable having ants climbing all over you frequently.
David Rthe equipment was poorly maintained. the trailer had to be held on by zip ties as it kept coming off the truck and causing a hazard to traffic.
WILLIAM KI had to jump through hoops just to get a hold of a truck. My wife and I were set to move out of our apartment from 2-5PM. We received a call the day before to say that our pickup in London was no longer available and that we had to go to Arva to get a truck at 1PM on the day of the move. Then, at 12:50PM, 10 minutes before pickup, we received a call that our truck was no longer available in Arva and we would have to go to Stratford which was another 45 minutes away to get the truck. The lack of consideration and professionalism in regards to over booking vehicles and forcing clients to drive to a specific location or be forced to be without a truck is baffling. To have such a joyous (and stressful) day marred by further inconvenience is very discouraging. I suggest re-designing your booking to be done through on site personnel so that they better account for vehicles. Perhaps having maximum vehicles for rental and backups available for unforeseen issues. I will say, the scheduling agent was compassionate and helpful, the overall process was abysmal.
Joseph SThe attitude was welcoming, but there is no one there to look over the vehicle until 10 AM. Who is responsible for any tagging or damage that happens to the vehicle between drop=-off and 10 AM?

John GAlthough the location offers off hours return, the staff was slow to return the vehicle. I dropped off the vehicle at 11pm. It was not checked in until around 11am next day.

MAYURKUMAR POur trailer had broken glass inside upon pick up. The exterior was very worn (peeling decals/paint, very faded, visible rust). I declined insurance when I made my reservation because we already carried insurance. I was charged for insurance upon pickup. The employee never reviewed the bill before charging. I immediately asked to have it refunded. The employee said their manager would do so later in the day, but they were not available currently. We still have not been refunded. While the employee was friendly, the system was very disorganized. The employee did not appear to know what they were doing (at first they said we could only have a truck, despite the fact we reserved a trailer, did not have a driver for a truck to Halifax along with our car, and there was a trailer in the lot... then she "found" my reservation). I strongly recommend better training for employees at this location. I will be following up regarding the refund.

Jacqueline BThey gave me the wrong truck so I had to return to a location that I didn't register for, Henry V was really good from the regional office and was helping but location refused to talk discuss issues. Henry eventually straightened out and was great but recommend never getting from the Quality Inn location in Stratford as they were unhelpful, rude and lacked customer service. Thank you Henry for you support
Alex NCounter service was polite and friendly. The whole process was made easy to understand and execute. I will definitely use this location again when needed. This was a last minute booking and it was possible to get the truck I needed with no hassle.return was easy and receipt was sent quickly and efficiently.
Charlene MThe truck we had would never pass a safety. We had to haul our stuff from Ontario to Newfoundland and wasn't sure if it would make it. When we got in it. There was less gas in it then half they had down. My husband took a picture and showed the mileage when we got in incase there was an issue when we dropped it off.

Ian PFilled more fuel than it was before, stiil charged same money. I was told by the reception guy that I payment would adjusted accordingly but still they charged me more and didn't give any refund for fuel. I got pictures of fuel reading as well if you need any proof.

Rick HThis trailer was not equipped with a standard 7 pin plug adapter. Without this the lights on the trailer do not work which is a safety hazard. None of the four trailers at this location had an adapter and we were instructed to purchase one which means every customer has to purchase an adapter for this safety mechanism to work properly. This should be provided by U-Haul. The adapter was $30 which was equivalent to the cost of renting the trailer. Furthermore, when trying to compete the return online, the feedback and questionnaire is rigged. We were unable to give honest feedback in order to continue to the next page. We were forced to check off answers that weren't what we were looking for.
Laurin PNot sufficient information on drop-off checklist and instructions. I used the U-Haul app b/c the Quality Inn personnel were not versed in the process for returning the vehicle in person.

Kevin SI contacted U-haul in Stratford Ontario on Ontario street January 14th. He told me if I got the truck back 1hour past the 24 hour rental, he would adjust it because of the weather. Snow squalls and strong winds meant I had to risk my life to drive 20 km in a storm. Then I got a bill for over 80 dollars for a second day of rental !!!!
kevin bSaturday pick up was only by cell phone. Could not access UHaul via my account. Had to download the UHaul app and start over which took a total of 45 minutes including difficulty to get it to accept driver's license photos and self image. Had been told over the phone there was a lock box, not that there was a lock on the back of the truck. Difficulty unlocking the lock. Overall a very bad experience picking up the truck. Returning the truck was simple as there was staff on site. Hard to understand why the pick up was so difficult as the truck is located at a Quality Inn. This is my 4th rental this year. The other 3 were simple and the pick up and return process was easy.
Chris LWe were to get the truck at 3:30 never left until 428. The guy had no clue what he was doing. Then couldn't fine the key. Then charged us gas money after we put gas in it. Because we couldn't get our full 4 hrs so never got everything moved. Now I have to pay some else to move the rest of my stuff.

Jason EThis SHOULD NOT be a representation of uhal , they gave me absolutely nothing but problems . Spoke to me inappropriately, wouldn't listen to uhal when I had them on the phone . And tried to take a photo of my credit card on his phone . Our original pick up location was Woodstock who called me AT THE TIME of pick up to let me know the truck wasn't available and nearest was Stratford where we ran into the awful hotel employee / uhal employee. Which was 45 minutes both ways out of our way , and we were also there waiting 2-3 hours going back and forth ABOUT OUR RESERVED rental .

ALLISON EHad to dig hitch out of a snow bank/snow drift prior to hookup ourselves, this part was not so enjoyable.
Meagan SNo drop box or pick up box. Had to go in the building and wait for the key. The dolly I ordered was not in the car. The scratches and dents already present on the vehicle were not marked with the usual x sticker. The inside of the van had crumbs and mud.

Rick TThe Googled phone number for this location is someone's personal line. Wrong number! I was charged for insurance that I purposely opted out of. Never a uhaul employee on the premises. Very unprofessional.
Rick THaving to get everything set up online was a bit of a pain. Other than that it all went smoothly. Nice car trailer to use. It tows well. Will definitely rent one again.

Andy JWish the gentleman at the front desk would have communicated with us clearly and more. He came, didn't say much, and then just stared at the computer. He seemed frustrated about aomething (maybe a technical issue) but didn't tell us what was wrong. We were also told that we wouldn't get charged until we came back with the van but my visa was charged before our trip even started. The back of the van was very dusty and dirty so I felt uncomfortable putting my things into it. We didn't have the time or resources to clean the cargo area so I had to just deal with putting my stuff in the back.
