#1 Not open to pick up truck and dolly at 9am. (Had people lined and waiting to load truck). #2 Would not answer phone number on reservation. #3. Had to go to another location to try finding a truck and trailer - ended up having to return to the location to pickup a truck and trailer after they decided to open. (Bigger truck than was ordered) #4 took another hr after returning for paperwork and was unable to even sign a contract. Printed out someone else’s info for me to sign. Finally got a contract emailed to me. We ended up getting back to start loading the truck 3.5 hrs late and all the help was gone. Ended up leaving 8 hrs late which ended up costing an extra night of lodging and an extra day of driving. The truck had transmission issues that would not shift at times -

Phone personnel need to be more informative and do a better job realizing that this rental situation may be very new to most all customers, even though it seems very common to them. More education to the customer, in customer terms. Explain that the time of pick up is critical to how a customer is charged. Explain in DETAIL why a truck may not be where a customer is told it will be. Very disappointing to choose a location and then not have that location honored. Phone personnel need to explain how that can be, in detailed format for customers who don't speak U-Haul language. The pick-up site in Avondale is scary and appeared complicated! There were multiple dogs in the store and the personnel had to remove the dog(s) for us to use the bathroom. There wasn't good signage - we didn't even know if we were in the right spot. Lots could be improved for customer service for this location.

Creepy convenience store/smoke shop location. Nice employee/owner just a bad location that felt borderline unsafe.

Truck had trash in the back. The convenience store it’s in was busy and only one employee so it was a lengthy process.
