The on line return process was a complete failure on this rental. I spent over an hour on several different phone calls in an attempt to complete the process. The website I was directed to did not work at all, and repeatedly froze and required restarting multiple times. Each time after a failure of the site, I was instructed to repeat the same steps over and over with the same unsatisfactory results each time. Further, the web address that I was repeatedly sent to by the phone support was apparently completely different than the page they were viewing. None of the links they were referring me to were on the page I was directed to. Further, my phone number was not connected to my contract, even though it appears correctly listed on that same contract. Each time the trouble shooting failed to produce results, I was forwarded to a different person, and had to start completely over again with exactly the same failure occurring. I spent over half an hour in a deserted, unlit lot that was being prowled by transients off in the bushes. I finally left the area, as I felt it was unsafe to remain while inept customer service staff blindly passed me from person to person. After leaving, I was shuttled off to yet another customer service person who informed me that there was nothing that could be done because I “left the lot”, and that she could have easily fixed the issues that three others failed at. Her condescending atttitude and tone was nothing less than insulting. When asked to be forwarded to a supervisor, I was told “they can’t help you either”. My experience in returning this equipment was beyond dismal. I now have no confirmation in my possession that I have returned the equipment. The phone staff was totally incompetent and ill trained. In total, I have over an hour wasted in an attempt to simply return a trailer. A trailer which the phone staff continually referred to as a truck for some reason. The situation got so contorted that at one point I was told that the only records they had were for a car hauler that I rented over a year ago at a different location.

The person upon drop off charges me for utility dolly and furniture pads, while I didn't use them. He didn't even check the locks of the items. He just charged me for no reason. I have been trying me contact them the refund the over charged fees. No response yet.

It took me 3 hours to get my truck rented. I paid for two utility dollies and only received one. My drop off location was also switched 3 times. Overall, the truck got me moved ... but you’d think a company this large would have much better communication and service. While the customer service rep (Sebastian) was kind and did his best, he was brand new on the job and the only agent available.

I was told to drop off in Solana Beach both when I made my reservation and when I picked up the Trailer. The next day I drove to the U haul location in Solana Beach to realize that it didn't exist even though it was on apple maps/had an address on the reservation. I looked at the contract and it told me to contact a phone number. I then found out they only take drop offs at a different location. This would have been helpful information ahead of time. From start to finish it was clear that the company doesn't care about making this an easy process for it's customers.

My original location was 860 Regal Rd, Encinitas, CA 92024. I showed up and dropped the vehicle off exactly as I was instructed to in the app. When I went to drop they keys off in the box there was a paper sign taped to it saying not to leave keys here or you will be fined. I went into the store and asked the worker, they said do not leave the Uhaul here they don't have room for it. This is after I had already received an email receipt from UHaul that my order was complete. They workers said I had to drive 15 minutes across town to a different location. This was a horrible experience, and a HUGE waste of time.
