Overall, I was very disappointed in my Uhaul experience. My reserved pickup AND drop off locations were changed a day before my move, which threw a wrench in my plans completely. In addition, the follows that I reserved were not available. I do not blame the kind man working at the pickup location — this is an issue with the functioning of Uhaul as a company.

Remove $10 charge for parking. Make sure that you have furniture dolly's available. I reserved 2 for my booking but you had none available.

I believe this location need customer service , the attendant was not helpful and more rude than anything. The truck I got had no gas and made purchase 8.00 worth of gas . The the truck had a airbag message that it needed to be service . The interior had cigarette on the floor and it smell like someone had smoke just before I rent it, I pointed all this things out to the attendant which he look and me shrug his shoulders . His answer to my complaints were “ you are not buying the truck you a renting it and that’s the equipment UHAUL gives us to rent .

The person at the counter was not familiar with the check in process thru the app. Wasted time looking and calling Uhaul customer care to confirm.

Check trucks for smell of gas. When I first picked up trunk I put the heat on cause it was chilly. Hear the air blowing sound. After awhile I turned it off, but still heard some sound of air blowing. Didn’t think much of it til later when I started feeling nausea. Pulled over once and vomited. Got back in the truck and noticed the smell of gas more after fresh air. Pulled up to a cvs to buy mask, vomited again in the parking lot. I found a box of surgical mask and water to rinse mouth. Got to my locations and did my errands. Brought truck back and told rental attended about the situation. Seemed concerned at first, but after getting the truck he said he don’t smell anything. My first thought, he works at a gas station and probably used to the smell. I wanted to complain more, but didn’t have the stomach for it and said I have to go before I vomit again. Thank god for the mask or I probably would of vomit few more times bringing back the truck and caused some kind of accident. Note to future customers: check truck for smell of some gas before leaving the lot.

This was absolutely horrible experience. I will not ever, ever rent from this location again. I spent 3 hours here in this gas station waiting to be approved for my truck reservation. The gas attendant did not have a proper computer knowledge or working equipment. He could not check anyone in or confirm any reservation, citing a “slow uhaul system” yet, told myself and all waiting to do Mobile check in. Every single person that came in he asked them to just check in and use their phone as he could not help anyone. Putting the burden on the consumer. I’m not sure he was wrong because I sat and waiting for my mobile checkin for 45mins and never went through. I called uhaul and was on hold for 30mins, never spoke to anyone. When in my phone to access the support feature, no one responded. All others there experienced the same. The attendant sat there and laughed at the situations of people’s whole entire weekend plans falling apart. Of all the 10+ people who came in to rent a van while I was there, every one of the them left and cancelled. After 2+ hours of me waiting for approval from my mobile checkin - he said he could not help me or anyone there. People were begging him, as myself and so many others had big moving plans and paid teams on the clock. He blamed it on a slow uHaul system. All the while he was the only attendant at this gas station, having to stop and fill gas of any cars that came by. Finally after repeated pressure he said, “ let me try something different” and then, miraculously the reservation smoothly went through. It is my very firm belief this individual barely had working knowledge of using a computer or of the uhaul system. He stated this happens all the time - this uhaul location ruined the plans and weekend of myself and many other patrons. This location has no right to be renting out any trucks and should no longer be a uhaul location, it lost your company lots of business on a busy Saturday and all I spoke to said they would never use uhaul again. Most other people that came to that location that day and saw this mess cancelled and called other rental companies who helped quickly. I had no ride and no choice, as my wife dropped me off and was already en route to our moving location. I can’t stress this enough, all the while, with a full lot of uhaul vans/trucks the attendant laughed at the situation, offending myself and others there as we did not see the humor in this situation. I will be spreading the word of this experience and looking at other rental companies next time. Improve the experience by taking Uhaul away from RT46 shell.

Your computer system is horrible. If it wasn't for the fact that I had been dropped off at the location and traffic was backed up I would have left. It took an hour and a half to check out. The fact that the system can't work during your busiest time, Sat. morning, is a joke. We sent many people out the door that morning. I had hired help waiting during all that down time, the elderly person we were helping lost all energy, and I had to finish the job the next morning because the dump I needed to get to closed before we could get there. There was very little savings involved and a whole lot of lost time.

I had the understanding with the person I felt with in the morning, at the time I dropped the truck back , the person at night told me that the person in the morning was wrong bout the policy , so I was charged extra and I didn’t get the fee waved off even though I had the truck for 12 hours I was charged for 24 hours. Then I paid $10 for me to leave my car at the location also I was charged $7 for gas because it wasn’t where it supposed which is not accurate. So no more Uhaul fir me and for any of my friends

Everything was perfect. Customer service person on the phone was fantastic helping me last minute with everything I needed. The uhaul pickup was also wonderful, quick and easy and also last minute and late at night. Dropoff was just as easy. It made my move so much easier and stress free all around. I also took advantage of storage and that was also an anazing experience. Everyone helpful and professional and every detail thought through.

Not move a customers reservation more than 10 miles from where they rented from and still charge them for the extra mileage that you caused. I incurred more than 20 due to your company doing this. Also, I completely filled the truck with gas across the street before returning it, but the clerk was arguing with me that I didn't do that. He kept insisting I was wrong. I had him pull the truck up to his own pump and he could only force .42 cents worth of gas into it. Sounded full to me. No apology of course. Ridiculous. Won't be using Uhaul ever again.

Always a friendly face especially at pick up. Vehicles are clean and staff is efficient. I’ve rented 5 times in the last 2 months already, and come from the Upper West Side to use this location in Fort Lee. I’ve found my go-to UHaul.

I blame Uhaul. Apparently, your system was down according to the gas station attendant. And I waited 45 minutes to pick up my reservation. I will not use Uhaul in the future ever again.

It took the attendant 30 minutes to process even though I completed the order online. Also, $19.95 is misleading. I’d rather know exactly how much it will cost in advance than being tricked into cheaper price. I’ll NEVER use uhaul again

I was supposed to pick up by phone at 5:00 am. When I was at site, on line instruction said to wait until store opens at 6:00 am. Personnel came at 6:30. When I left the site, traffic was very built up. It wrecked my whole day.

The cab of the Uhaul smelled atrocious. Also the Uhaul had the check engine light on, nothing happened between the move but wasn’t comfortable driving it in that condition. The price was decent and the customer service was good it’s the only reason it deserves 2 stars. The maintenance and up keep of the truck was very poor, they need to work on that aspect.
