I've rented several uhauls in the past and have had just excellent experiences. This was completely opposite experience though. The lock on the lock box with the key was either damaged or faulty, I had to piddle with it for about 10-15 mins before it finally opened (and I followed the directions to a T) The truck had 9 miles to empty when I got in it NINE MILES TO E. I've never ever rented a U-Haul that literally had a gas light on. In fact, every time I've rented one it's had a full tank of gas. The system would not let me do the initial setup process, wasn't able to submit pictures or anything before driving away with the truck. The dashboard looked like a Christmas tree with all the different lights shining bright for maintenence. This truck has some mechanical issues both under the hood and either the tires or maybe an axel? The whole thing just jumps around (not the wind blowing I mean it was jumping like a box Chevy in the Bronx seriously) had to pull over several times to insure the tires were not flattened. When I would accelerate in this truck it made a somewhat spitting noise and then sounded like it was in neutral or something and just would barely crawl; this issue continued even after I gassed it up/again almost didn't make it to the station tho as this truck had no gas to begin w),the delay in acceleration… This was incredibly scary and dangerous as I had to make my way onto busy highways several times with this recent move. It's terrifying attempting to make entry on the road when the truck just stops pulling. Just acts like neutral, it was strange. I would like to conclude with I did accomplish my move. It took a lot more patience than I possess but ultimately mission was accomplished. I pray this message isn't received as someone with just a bunch of complaints, I believe in the U-Haul brand and recommend anyone to rent one. However, I will not recommend getting one from this location. I list these issues here for y'all, not as a complaint, but as a concern for future customers (or even myself if I have to return to that location for whatever reason) this particular vehicle did not feel safe, I was scared pretty much the entire time driving it. I do wish to complain about the empty tank of gas. That was absurd. When guesstimating my mileage I put 50 miles, there was 9 miles to E w the light flashing low fuel the very second I got in the first time and turned the key. I almost didn't get to a gas station to put gas in (this added an enormous amount of additional stress as I planned to get in and get going, I expect to gas up the truck throughout my time of having it, but to not have gas when I pick it up is just poor business practice and even more poor customer service, in my opinion. I will continue to be a U-Haul customer and will not let one "not great" experience detour me from future endeavors, however I pray and plead these issues are looked into and used as a teachable moment to better improve customer experience/customer service and promote a safe driving experience. It is imperative to not o to promote a safe experience though, it needs to be guaranteed. I thank you so much for your time, and for your services, and for helping me get into my new home. Dropped off during closed hours . Paid $100 deposit cash . After $31,5 gas charge how am I suppose to receive money owed ? Not really sure how that is suppose to work . Thanks

This location was not responsive to phone calls inquiring about return equipment after business hours. I arrived at the location 10 minutes before closing time, after trying to reach them during the afternoon to let them know I would be late, to find the location locked and gated. This location was not user friendly in any sense of the term.

Was charged for 200+ extra miles when I went an extra 89. So they charged me more than 200 extra dollars.

The lights didn't work right they didn't try to fix them they just said use it anyway. Then the gate was locked when. So I had to pay more because I was locked out when I try 2 return it I had to wait 2 the next day

Had trouble with mobile app to return truck. We tried several times with two different phones but froze each time on verification of location. Not sure if app or was location. Overall great experience with your company.

We left Iuka MS drove a car on the back of the truck got Buford Ga and while getting the car unhook from the tow dolly we were told that we were lucky the car didn't fly off the back, because the chains were not on the tires. Iuka MS is in the middle if no where may need training on hooking up a tow dolly. The folks there were super helpful.

Friendly people very helpful. What I am displeased about is that my original location m and w sales in Belmont Mississippi gave my truck and trailer to someone else the person that works there James McDowell told me so. I was inconvienced and lost 7 hours of a move day because of this man. Would never use them again you need to look into the matter was horrible experience dealing with them. Also had I not called them I would never have known until day of pickup.

They did not check in the uhaul upon drop off. Drop off date was Dec 27, 2020 and the truck was not located and checked in until Jan 11 2021. Not a good experience when you have someone calling saying they are checking on a late return of a huge moving truck that had been dropped off at the uhaul location 2 and a half weeks prior.
