Worst experience I've had and UHqul hasn't been great before. I called to confirm my reservation, both to the store and to UHaul and I was told everything is set. I showed up and the truck was there but no keys and the store was closed. I tried calling around everywhere and finally found a truck through Penske. This UHaul, and UHaul in general, are completely unreliable. You never know if you actually have a vehicle or not. The time before this I showed up for my truck and I was toldbb bc I could pick it up an hour from where I had booked it. Don't use this company!!!!

Did not appear to be a functioning location despite it being on the Uhaul web page as a location for drop off. The one person there did not know what to do. However to their credit they did phone someone and then indicated that they could accept the drop off.

Initially all was good. I got confirmation of the truck and location I wanted. 3 days before my move they changed the pickup location (40mins away from where I needed to pack) and gave me the wrong vehicle type (I asked for 15ft I got 26ft). I called customer service to fix this and they did so easily. Why then was my order completely wrong in the first place? The pickup was a disaster. We were never informed that the app that we were told to download and use to get the truck "dosen't work in Canada". We had to be told that by a customer service person after being on hold for 30mins to use the browser. Nice. We try that. Doesn't work because they don't apparently understand what a driver's license looks like from Ontario (it says driver's license on it, shocking). Then they had to verify the ID, which none of the customer service people knew how or who this should go to. 4 transfer and on hold for 45 more mins and we were finally able to prove that yes, in fact, I am able to legally drive in my province. All in all it was a bad experience and I will not being using uhaul again. I understand that it was the first of the month and clearly they were understaffed. The calltakers can only do so much, I get that, but the services have to be streamlined and get some people who understand Canadian geography a bit.

The lot wasn't plowed and it took me over an hour and a half to get the van out of the lot. Obviously no snow tires on the van. I called roadside assistance for support and had to take multiple pictures for upload so they could assist. I finally was able to rock myself out. It was a brutal experience.

I was told someone would be there to retrieve the trailer and the location would be open. It is not the locations fault rather the customer service is atrocious. They could've told me the other location in orillia was opened 1 your later and that could be my drop off. Wasted 1 hour and 30 minutes trying to get in touch with U-Haul about dropping my car trailer off at the location when it still was listed as the aurora on industrial parkway location so that disturbed me from doing my online check in. I was then hung up on 4 times by customer service while being on hold for over 15 minutes at a time. Thanks U-Haul I don't think I'll be using you again.

U-haul 5X8 enclosed trailer had real low tire pressure which I had to fill-up for both tires. Both tires had lots of wear. One of the lights was not working on the trailer. The good news was that the trailer did not leak on the way to Florida after going through a tropical storm, monsoon. It was packed from wall to wall with furniture etc. and trailered really well over the 1,500 mile journey lowering the gas mileage by only 3 miles to the gallon. Just remember that when you cross into Buffalo don't go in the auto line, use the trailer line. Border officer was not impressed when he asked why I didn't go to the trailer line and I told him what trailer as it trailered so well I forgot it was there. He was upset that I could not make the turn leaving his booth and would cause a traffic jam at the border. I told him no worry as I had watched the u-haul trailering video and made the turn with only one back-up!!! Great u-haul experience!!!

Original pick up in midland 26ft not available, then sent to Orillia. 26 ft truck was not there , had to take a 20 ft. Had to use/add my own vehicle to finish the move.

Went to drop this uhaul off at this location, and even though it was listen as OPEN. There was nobody there during work hours, which made it VERY difficult to drop my uhaul off. I'm thoroughly disappointed in the service of uhaul and the lack of customer service Althea have shown me during this stressful move. I don't think I will use uhaul again for my future moves

My wife went to pick up car dolly and the man there said it was all good to go even after she asked about tire straps being loose. A few minutes down the highway it became apparent tire straps were not secured and were flopping on the highway. He said they were heavy enough to stay there. She had to pull over on busy highway and tie loose straps.

I booked a Uhaul to travel from Orillia, ON to Vancouver however after all of my possessions were stolen during an overnight stay I returned it several days earlier then expected and only in Sudbury, ON but was charged for the entire trip. No amount was offered as a refunded this matter will have to go to court.

My booking times and pick up location and size of truck were changed by you at the last minute. This was inconvenient for me. The original pick up location was directly across the street from my new residence where as the one that is was changed to by you was about 20 minutes outside of town. This cost me money and time that I did not have available on the rental date. I have had similar experiences with U-Haul in the past and I find it extremely frustrating. I booked nearly a month in advance for this rental I should be able to pick up at my preferred location and receive the size of truck I requested when you are provided that much notice

Great service from the owner. Very frustrating experiencing the glitches your new corporate software system is having. Corporate needs to support the dealer better and answer calls when the dealer calls in. Poor support from corporate to the dealer. I felt bad for the owner.

Pick up was scheduled for 10am..uhaul representative was not in the building with the uhaul sign on the door (door was locked) The guy was parked in a car in front of a neighboring building processing rentals from his car...we left the yard with the trailer at 1208pm Then the guy at drop off location (Skyways Gravenhurst) tried to tell me I needed to pay an additional fee of 20$ for returning late..I argued the point because I was there an hour early then I called in to uhaul...I think the guy at Gravenhurst was trying to pocket 20$ and the guy at Rama was incredibly un professional

He was operating out of his car. One side of the trailers light indicators wouldn't work and he blamed it on our vehicle which is new and worked days prior. We were there for an hour because he kept taking personal calls when we were talking to him.

There was a strong smell of gasoline in the trailer. It is difficult to rate the location overall because their was no one there when I arrived to pick up the trailer. 1 hour after the scheduled opening time, no one had arrived. Fortunately, the head office people at U-Haul were great and able to help me out.

The truck had bald front tires and the interior had coffee slopped all over the seat. The vehicle had just under a 1/4 tank of gas. The engine light on the truck stayed on the entire time i drove the vehicle.

My pick up location was suppose to be Dwight. A two day rental from sep 5-7. I went a day early to check and they had no clue I was coming the next day and had no equipment for me, even though I had received an email that guaranteed my equipment 6 days earlier. To obtain my rental I had to drive to Orillia 104 km one way. I had to get a friend to come with me. It cost me $23 gas in my car and $40 gas in the truck to get it back to the place it was suppose to be. Not to mention 2.5 hours of my time and my friends time. At $14/hr that is $70. I was offered the truck for $50 all in with no mileage, which at the time I thought was ok, but when I got to Orillia I found it was not “all in”. I still had to pay the insurance and the environmental fee. That to me is not “all in”. Then I got a phone call on sep 6 telling me the rental was late. When I returned the truck on sep 7 as originally agreed they had added $80 in late fees to my bill. I did get the $80 reversed but it was still another uncomfortable hurdle that I shouldn't have had to go through. All in all, with the extra gas and my time, even with the discount it cost me more than it should have. I am not sure I would rent from haul again. Also the sales person in Orillia was very unfriendly, didn't come out to the truck with me for an orientation and was entirely unhelpful, was even yelling at me as I was leaving his crappy little office. I had to talk to him through a small hole in a plastic wall. The area was so hot I could hardly stand in there.

I was disgusted overall with uhaul. This location was great but the customer service from head office in brampton, absolutely terrible. They double booked my rental and got rid of my truck. Then made us drive 40 minutes out of our way to get a truck. This is NOT the first time I've experienced this with uhaul. This is the 3rd time. I'm expecting some form of compensation for this.

First and last time I use U-Haul. Despite e-mails assuring me that my rental was confirmed, when I arrived at the location my reserved vehicle wasn't there. I had to take a larger truck at more money. It was explained to me that U-Haul will confirm a vehicle for a specific location, but that you may end up having to go significantly out of your way to another location should the vehicle you want not be at the location you want, resulting in significant extra mileage charges. This was not adequately explained to me when I booked on line. I think this is a horrible business model. When I rent a vehicle, I expect to be able to pick it up where I have reserved it. The truck had U.S. plates and the speedometer was in mph; I couldn't read the small kph so I never knew how fast I was really going. The truck was banged up on the outside and did not drive well, as it already had almost 68,000 miles on it. I have rented trucks many other times from other companies. The trucks have typically been almost new and available where and when I have been told they would be available. And U-Haul is not cheaper than other companies. The only reason I used U-Haul was because the location where I reserved the truck was close to one of the locations I was going to. I am telling everyone I know to never use U-Haul.

I had rented a truck from your Mississauga Street Orillia location on Wednesday they told me that I had a truck and it would be ready for me on Friday Ithen get a call on Thursday after having all my people and arrangements made for Friday morning I get this call on Thursday telling me I don't have a truck. then they tell me I can have a truck from very well I am not going to drive from Orillia to Barrie to get a truck that I was already promised in Orillia. this is not the first time this has happened to me when I was moving in Pickering the agent did the same thing you people lack poor customer service. The man your agent in Rama Orillia name David save the day and went out of his way to help me kudos to him

Overhaul experience was awful. Once I made the booking, all and any communication was confusing and frustrating, Information did not get passed on to pick up location. All could have been improved if I was able to pick up and drop off truck at location I wanted, on Mississaga Street in Orillia, which is less than a mile from my new home and in a better plaza where I did not have to worry about my driver's own vehicle being left during the duration of the moving process from Alliston. Uhaul needs to improve communications and truck availability logistics.

Reservation was made at Mississauga street in Orillia - when I arrived at the location , they were not aware of my reservation - when checked on the system I was advised that the 4x8 was at a different location ( Rama) - no prior update / change was advised to me. When at Rama, 4x8 trailer lights did not work, and looks like had not worked for a while . The 4 pin connector on the trailer neck was corroded - I did some cleaning repair on it to make it work.

Truck returned with 1/4 tank of fuel. After final invoice they tried to charge me $30.00 in fuel fill up services and $52.15 in fuel, saying I returned the truck with 1/16 of a tank. Absolutely false. Hoping customer service makes this right.

To look at the drop box for the keys, I was charged an extra three days because this location didn't look at the drop box. I've had to call multiple times to try to get my money back. I don't know if I would recommend Uhaul to other people. I was told by the location pick up that locations look at the drop box for keys and contracts which this location did not.

Operator has no personality or customer service skills. Truck was returned on time on a Thurs night after closing fully swept out because it was need Friday morn. Assumed he checked it over as got bill based on mileage Friday morn,all ok. Then Sat morn be calls me as his Sat morn customer is phoning him to say truck is dirty. Did he not look in truck Friday morn when he read odometer nor before his Friday customer took the truck? Then to call me Sat morn means no he did not!

Some instructions on operating truck. I didn't know about the overdrive switch until I touched it by mistake. Also they didn't tell me what time the truck was due back and the contract was time stamped one hour earlier than when I got the truck.

Was lied to regarding rental fee. Location was closed on date of schedual return. Was told drop it off on Sunday and when he came in on Monday he would check it back in as of Sunday and I would only be charged for one day. I returned Sunday as expected and was still charged for 2 days rental when I asked him about it he said he never said that. He said it to me as well as 2 other clients getting the truck at the same time. He is slow, grumpy, unfriendly, rude and condicending he is a very bad look on the company. I do not appreciate being misled and lied to for the sake of an extra buck. Highly unsatisfied

There needs to be a jack on the tongue for tandem trailers the braking system makes them too heavy to safely lift
