We were overcharged. When I look at the google reviews it looks like this is quite common. We rented a trailer for 2 days and ended up only needing it for one so we returned the trailer a day early. Once we returned the trailer we went inside and were told we didnt need to do anything else. We then called to make sure they knew the trailer was returned and they said yes. We then got a receipt where they charged and extra $20 for late return. We will never use the uhaul at this location again.Gerardo P.

The interior had dried mud smeared on the floor of both the passenger and driver sides. The console/cupholder had crumbs and dirt. It clearly hadn't been cleaned from its last use.Pam R.
I will actually be filing a complaint with the BBB & FCC if my money isn't refunded from this. I wasn't even able to use this truck because of how poorly it was maintained. It had extreme death wobble, poor brakes & needs to be taken into a shop for repair. I have never experienced this with any truck I've rented from you or other providers. Agent is ambivalent about customers, this is a Ramada Inn and that is their focus. The hotel was not busy but the agent never came outside, did not assist with the furniture pads, dolly, or hand truck. He did the bare minimum and was not at all helpful or engaging. Not so much as an offer for a cup of coffee, despite it being near freezing temps and damp outside. ZERO customer service.THEODORE M.

The rates and type of rentals needs to be explained more through. I have tried for days to call and get someone to send me a receipt for the rental and no one has been available for days. Lady at front desk was rude to driver upon return of rental. Poor customer service.CRYSTAL LYNN S.

Attendants offer 0 help: Tow dolly was not in truckâ€¦my bad for not checking before I left, but a sore back later after bringing it to their attention, just got a chuckle and told â€œthey would say somethingâ€. God forbid they take the charge of my bill Website was having issues when I was dropping off, so I couldn't screen shot odometer. Brought this to attendant's attention, and physically showed him my phone was set to allow location, and still not help from him about checking truck in..just an â€œoh wellâ€. So I call the next morning when the uhaul manager was supposed to be in, a message was taken, and I was given a number to call. No answer at number, and no message (detailed message mind you) returned. But, hey, they made sure I got charged $20 for not using the website, the uhaul website that was malfunctioning, that they attendants neared witness to. Like for real? One problem I had was that I originally had Wytheville VA as the pickup point and somebody changed the pickup location to Bland VA. The rep at Wytheville had to jump through hoops to change it back. This was inexcusable!!GEORGE FRITZ W.

The man from the hotel was not friendly at all. He was quite rude. He approached me without even saying who he was, asking me for the key, takes the key and walks away, I say "sir, I need the key to read the odometer", he tells me to hold on and takes a phone call. He comes back and is asking me questions about the uhaul, the same questions that I have to complete on the app to check it in, but is not doing anything with the information. the whole interaction was pointless. First of all I paid for a 24 hour rental and didn't get a 24 hour rental Due to not being able to pick up my rental at the scheduled time the key box that U-Haul said my key would be in wasn't there and I was unable to pick my rental up until the next morning pick up and drop off went smoothly but then they charged me for six gallons of fuel after I had to give up well over 12 of the 24 hour rental also do not understand why I could drop it off after hours but couldn't pick it up after hours like it said I could online all in all it was bad customer service in my opinion witch probably don't mean much but I won't be useing y'all again and definitely wouldn't recommend y'all either thank you for letting me inform you of my experienceDonald C.

Truck was filthy. I was on a timeline and had to get to my destination so I cleaned up the cab myself. The back was also filthy and did not know until I got to my destination. I returned the truck and when asked said the truck was not clean so you charged me $25 extra. Totally wrong and I wish to have it returned to me or I will call bank and dispute the charges.Vicki S.

Equipment was dirty, literally mud all over the trailer. Check in guy was overwhe,med running a hotel and the Uhaul. I kept being put on hold while he took care of his hotel customers (3 times). It extended the check in period by a lot. Also was delayed at pick up for hotel people. Thank goodness for the online process or it would have takne 3 times longer.MICHAEL P.

It took an hour to get the truck rented. Could not get online check in to work. Stayed on phone for 45 mins to get help. After all that the key was not in box and still had to wait until 8 am for staff to arrive. It was a 7 am rental and was still booked as leaving at 7 am. I was told to download app. . The truck was not at the location sent to us in our confirmation email. We had to drive 45 minutes away to collect it. It was a 26ft truck. We had ordered a 15 ft truck three weeks earlier. There was less than 1/4 of a tank of gas in vehicle when we picked it up from the location. We were charged twice what we had expected to pay (instead of $197 we had to pay over $300).Dawn H.

I started the application on my phone in my car waiting for my friend to sign her lease and get her keys. I began the mobile pick up app and texting my granddaughter for the info on the primary driver-her husband. When my friend was done I took her back to the nursing home and went to pick up the truck. I went inside and was told I needed to finish it online. I sat in my car for 45 minutes and ended up canceling the reservation. I started all over doing a pick up at the counter. We completed the move in 4 hours and returned the truck. When the driver took the key inside he was told I needed to complete the check out online which took another 30 minutes. The location was perfect for the move - about 5 miles to the nursing home and about 5 miles to the apartment and back to the rental site. Unfortunately the time consumed getting and returning the truck left a negative impression. I paid at the counter when picking up the truck and I think it was more than the amount listed on the app when I checked outKathleen G.

While booking if the customer books at a particular location please make sure that the truck is available at that location. Modifying the location 50 miles away and adding extra miles to the truck doesnt help and is very disappointing.Manas G.

Absolutely NO assistance was to hook up the trailer. I was given the trailer number at the desk and told to go find it. If I didn't already know how to connect everything, This could have been dangerous, especially for a trailer with brakes. Also, the tongue was sitting on the pavement. It I hadn't brought a hydraulic jack, I don't know how I would have gotten the trailer onto the hitch.James H.
