March 15, 2023 Check trailers prior to customer arriving to pick up. After I hooked my truck to the trailer that had been designated for me, the store manager began to check that all light signals were working properly. A light bulb was out and had to be replaced. The trailer was so old that even the light switch connection could not be removed in order to change the bulb. The manager had no choice but to call for another trailer at a different location. After waiting for an hour another newer trailer arrived and was connected to my truck. U-HAUL should take out of commission all the old trailers considering how much money they are charging customers. Thank you Edward Flores

The truck had zero gas when we arrived to pick it up. Wouldn't start - 0 Miles to Empty. The rep wasn't in the area, so we had to get our own gas. 3 hours of traffic later, we were able to get a gas can to the lot and get the truck started. While that was very inconvenient, disappointing, and kept us from loading until the next day, I do have nothing but praise for the speed with which Seth was able to reimburse us the 70 dollars it took to get the tank to the 3/8ths full it was supposed to be at pickup.

There was no one there at 2:50 pm, even though the hours stared they were open until 5. The sign on the door stated they would return at 3:30pm. I called at 3:40pm, no answer. I returned to the location and the sign said they would return at 4:00pm. I left the trailer there and left after 4:00pm, no one returned. This is definitely a self service location, not sure how anyone would go about renting from this location. I will not use this location again.

Contactless drop-off website did not work with my phone as location could not be determined even though location was enabled on my phone. On-site staff member refused to process drop-off manually because too close to closing time.

Attendant was rude and irritable. There are far better options in San Marcos for Uhauls with better customer support to every return to this location.

While Ranch Road 12 is a fantastic location, my rental experience was far from it. We booked online to pick up a truck at 9 a.m. at RR12. The reservation got moved to Sunset Lanes. The attendant there was less than helpful, and when we completed our mobile check-in, we found that our reservation was "unavailable." We called and were rescheduled for 1:30 (4,5 hours AFTER we initially RESERVED A TRUCK) in Buda, 15 miles away. This was beyond frustrating - and then we got rescheduled. Again. To another location in Buda. We finally got there, checked in, and then discovered that the lock on the lockbox we needed to acquire the keys was jammed and the location was closed, thereby unable to help. We called and were rescheduled again... back to RR12. We finally got a truck around 3. SIX HOURS AFTER WE HAD INITIALLY RESERVED TO PICK UP A TRUCK. We wasted SIX HOURS of our valuable moving time getting rescheduled and traveling 30 minutes out of the way only to be sent back to San Marcos. This is by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. On top of it all, when I called customer service from Buda, only to be sent back to San Marcos, the agent promised a $50 refund for my troubles. I was still charged full price for the reservation. I will NEVER use U-Haul again.

This is to the U-Haul system as a whole. You need more 26' trucks like the one I rented. It was asinine to have to drive from Manor to San Marcos to secure such a vehicle.

We had an after hours, 10pm pick-up and the truck had a blown outer back tire. Huge chunk missing from side-Wall. Don't understand how it was overlooked. Have picture. Roadside was excellent once we figured out to call them. Truck was very old and dirty. Manager opened 45 minutes late next morning so had to pay my movers an extra $200 to sit around and wait for me to get replacement truck. Manager never apologized once for bad truck or opening late.. Roadside did apologize profusely so they were an excellent voice for UHaul.

Original reservation/pickup location (Guard Dog Storage, 250 Riverwalk Dr, San Marcos, TX 78666 ) was closed and No notification email or text message was sent to notify us of the closure. This delayed our moving plans and the second location was farther away. A courtesy call would have been appreciated.

Amazing! He was helping a young lady when I got there, he acknowledged me and made sure I was good while helping the other customer. He was super helpful and definitely won't be the last time I bust this location. I've rented from here once before and plan on doing it a few more times

I have been helping my daughter move and making sure I get back on time. I did not understand what the uhaul representative was saying..it took me a minute. When I finally understood he was very rude and mocking me. I am in customer service as well. I have customers that don't understand or have a bad day. You don't treat them stupid. Sad because it is a nice establishment. Poor poor customer service.

The uhaul truck was in horrible condition. When you touched the breaks the check engine light came on flashing. The ac didn't work, you could turn it on high and it would blow a little. The rear door would stick and the ramp was hard to pull out because it would get stuck.

Your mobile pickup process is SERIOUSLY flawed.I signed up online, opened an account, did everything you asked for, and then, at the time of pickup, had to spend another 45 minutes trying to complete the process. Twice I was told the process failed. You wanted me to have my passport with me!!! WTF? Your first agent quit trying to help me, disconnected without even trying to do the verifications. Oh, and I didn't NEED my passport, as long as you could call my employer to verify my employment, at 8 am, which is dificult. Being retired makes that impossible. You guys owe me an hour of rental time, BTW.

I had the worst experience ever. Uhaul did nothing to make my experience better. I am so so disappointed. My move should've taken 1 day but uhaul made me have a 4 day move. The truck had a lock and nobody knew the code I had the truck for 24 hrs with no way to get into it. I was supposed to be out of that house by the 2nd and my landlord is charging 52$ for everyday that we were still there. I didn't get a uhaul until Sunday and I am still moving as I type. I turn it in at 10am today. I should've been able to enjoy my weekend with my family but that won't be happening.
