Technology has afforded us the ability to pick up and drop off at times that are convenient to the consumer. This technology must also work correctly at all time. As I sat in the UHaul rental trying to return it, after the 5th attempt, I just decided to lock it up, place the key in the drop box, and return the next morning to complete the process. The take-away: The App needs to work correctly 100 % of the time.

There wasn't even anyone there to accept the trailer. I called the number on the door and they told me to just park it anywhere I could. How secure is that? Anyone could just pull in there and take a trailer that someone has returned.

when I showed up to droop off trailer the two guys inside wasn't helpful. Told them I was dropping trailer they said drop it anywhere. After a few minutes one guy came out after I dropped the trailer.

The location was fine and the guy working was great but this place was packed and he had NO help. The truck engine light came on and off. I could not check out with the link they sent me.

The U-Haul truck that we reserved was not available. The representative sent us to another location in Kyle to pick up a smaller truck. Upon arrival, we realized that it was closed. During this time a larger truck became available at this location. Although the representative was friendly and helpful, this ordeal put us an hour behind schedule and we had to pay more than expected because only a bigger truck was available.

Honestly I'm just surprised at how easy it was to make an online reservation, pick it up, be on my way, and then drop off after hours with my phone. I'm not sure anything can really be improved with everything being so efficient.

The App needs a better flow. It is confusing and cumbersome. The concept of convenience is a great one, but if wireless and 24 hardtop off is the goal, then these locations should have a WiFi access point that keeps the phone to cloud process moving at a reasonable speed. Or, if a human is at the receiving end of the data review process, more humans are needed for faster review. Otherwise, speed up the AI recognition algorithm to match input speed. Suffice to say, the App to the lag time response for recognition is frustratingly slow.

Rhonda was woefully untrained to handle uhaul rentals. It took her 40 minutes to rent a van because she didn't know how to run the computers or find the proper keys for the vehicles she was renting. She didn't listen to what I asked for, I had to repeat myself over and over, kept having to call her colleague to perform the simplest operations, and was easily flustered by the simplest questions because she had zero familiarity with the vehicles she was renting. She wore a name tag that said ‘manager' - and it was embarrassing. I will never go there again.

checking in online is misleading - you have to do the same thing when you arrive for pickup, so really, checking in online makes the process longer as far as time goes.

Not this locations fault but we were unable to pick up our truck we had reserved a week in advanced. We were notified at the last second our reservation had changed to another location on the opposite side of town. When we arrived at the second location after hours there were no instructions how to pick up our truck. We called the 1800 number and waited for over 40 mins and no one ever answered. Poor poor customer service. So we cancelled our reservations.

Uhaul office was closed when I arrived to pick up my reservation. sign on the door said working out back in storage units. I called the Uhaul number on the sign and was on hold indefinitely. the Manager finally came back to the office and assigned my trailer to me. I waited along with another Uhaul customer about 45 minutes.

Customer service sucked. I rented this truck to be picked up in Kyle. I got moved to San Marcos and was not informed. I would have rather picked up a truck in Austin and not have been moved 20 minutes further south increasing our mileage. Also I accidentally clicked on cleaning and couldn't remove it so I've been charged for cleaning and extra miles that should've happened. I'm incredibly upset with this rental!

I started to request moving help. After seeing total cost canceled that request before putting in my debit card. I was later debited for moving help which i never gave approval for. There is a flaw in your program that allowed a third party to access my debit card information. I am fighting it through my bank

The only thing that I was upset about is that we had discussed a time we would be there to pick up (we had a 2 1/2 hour drive) and when we got there they were Closed and we had to wait 1 hour outside in cold temperatures. The worker who helped us was very Friendly and Helpful though.

Offer an alternative option, which takes into account that inclement weather may interfere with mobile or online ONLYâ€"requirement, for truck and equipment turn in at drop-off locations; after normal business hours. When contractual deadline date and time falls on turn- in location's close of business day.

Justin was outstanding in helping me change my drop-off location to his location. My original drop-off was 9595 Ranch RD 12, Wimberley, TX. When I tried to contact them, their telephone number did not ring (please try it: (512) 392-1808). Also they are hard to find, and don't show up until late morning. Not impressed.

The staff at this location are excellent and were incredibly helpful as we rented a truck for a pre-move to our new home. I can't say enough about they provided helpful advice and information. The equipment was fine. I did not appreciate having to drive 45 each way to pickup the rental equipment, I was notified the day before of getting screwed by U-Haul that I had to drive to another city. I have a hard time believing that all of Austin TX, the 11th largest city in the US did not have the equipment I reserved. Drop off same situation, there were 2 U-Hauls within 10 minutes of me, I got to drive 30 minutes to drop off, not convenient for me.

I had to return the truck after hours and it kept saying I was not sharing my location on safari but I was, so it would not let me return the truck. It took 15 min until I used google chrome instead and it worked.... Need to improve the mobile drop off and pick up.

I won't use this place again, they charged me for leaving truck there overnight. I dropped it off two days before deadline and they should appreciated because another customer might need it so they charged me without me knowing it. It is not right.

I understand corona is affecting things. However, there was no one there (the office was closed during operating hours). I spent an hour in the summer heat with poor internet connection trying to drop off the vehicle. I did not know where I was supposed to park or anything else other than some signs by the door telling me what to do. If I had any worse connection out there (sprint/t-mobile was my carrier) I would not have been able to drop off the truck. You can still have at least one person there to help customers while fitting COVID safety measures. That's my main complaint. Not everyone has or can successfully use their phone to drop off. Real in person employees should always be an option during operation hours.
