I would rather let you know what happened during my experience..... This is a large third party operated gravel parking lot with the U-haul equipment at the two far ends of the lot. It was run by a only one gentleman who barely spoke English and needed to call someone else just to get my reservation paperwork completed. I was not able to pick up my vehicle until after 12 pm even when I requested an early pick up. I called after the text message verification came in Sunday and no one picked up, I called twice. I was sent down to the trucks with the information the keys were in the truck, the gentleman assured me they were on the seat. After not seeing them he went and looked himself and came back empty handed. The keys were on the top of a filing cabinet. I was not able to pull off the lot with the truck until 1:45 pm in the SNOW. Yes it also snowed that day.

The man at the location didn’t really know what he was doing and needed someone to remotely put in my details. The amount of gas shown on the contract, did not match the gas when I got in the vehicle and started driving. The location was run down and looked like it should be condemned.

My u-Haul experience was a nightmare. I called customer service a few times and made a reservation on Tuesday Nov 12th for a location in Yonkers for pick up on Sunday morning.11/17 and on Saturday Nov 16 they e-mailed me that they could not honor my reservation in Yonkers so they gave me a U-Haul in the Bronx. I was very upset because I had to take an extra person with me because I was not familiar with that neighborhood and I wanted to make sureI I was safe. Of course, when we got there the price that 2 reps quoted me was not the price that the gentlemen operating my reservation had on his computer. He wanted to charge me $150 more. We called customer service and then the field rep Luis called me and gave me a discount and charged me $50 more than I was quoted. He was very nice but he said customer service had no authority to quote me that price. By this time, I am extremely late because it took a lot of time to straighten everything out. Now we have to get to Yonkers and we are in he Bronx and our GPS is directing us to parkways and we cannot get on the parkway with a truck!!! Nightmare!! We finally got to our destination but 2 hours late. I will never recommend or use U-Haul again. They never put the quote in writing and when I questioned it, customer service told me not to worry that they had notes on the account for the price I was quoted $181.81 and I paid $235.

I am not happy with my experience. I reserved a truck and when it was time for pick up, they didn't have a truck. They offered a van which we had to take as it was last minute. We had to make more runs because many things didn't fit in the truck to transport to the location.

I had a reservation for 7am but when I got there the attended told me uhal wasn't open till 8am. Not good. It cost me extra money because I had to pay my helper extra. Big disappointment. Uhal should not allow the system to schedule before place opens.

1. There was less fuel than indicated and yet I returned the truck with more and was charged double for 2 gallons. I showed the receipt for the 4 gallons I purchased just up the block. I only drove 20 miles. 2. I returned the truck at 7pm the same day at a 24hour location and was charged a $20 Fee for "after hours" drop off. I'm not happy. Not even a little bit. I even tipped the guy with whom I returned the truck and he made ABSOLUTELY no reference to the charges.

United state of America is a English speaking country and there’s no way you can have someone working customer service that speaks little or no English what’s to ever. I have no problem with immigrant as am also a immigrant from the Carribean. But it a Spanish person is doing customer service they must be fluent in both Spanish and English.

I scheduled 10ft. truck at one location at 8am. My reservation was changed to another location. When I arrived I waited for hour and half which made me lose the helpers to move my furniture out the apartment. It took me longer to load the truck and I was late for my move in slot out of state. For that reason, I missed my freight elevator time and had to wait for 3 hrs to move my furniture. Moving is difficult but my experience made it worse. If I ever have to move I do not know if I will use Uhaul again.

I was so disappointed. First of all the personal was not professional at all, then they didn't have internet service and they have to use my data so they can dispatch the truck that I needed and 3rd they didn't explain well the details about fuel and millage and I ended up paying a lot more than expected. Horrible service and would never recommend it or go back.

The first drop off location could not take the truck so we needed to drive to a second. I received 2phone calls from U-Haul about drop off while I was driving. Not a time I could talk . It would have been helpful to be told not all locations can accommodate the larger truck. Also needed to call U-Haul twice. Wait time was 20 minutes. I feel this was excessive

The reservation process was horrible. I completed the registration online and on-site only for the representative to review and add to it. This process took 45min. Because this process took entirely too long I returned at a later time, after already having the reservation booked, only to attemp the exact same process. Upon return, I was told everything was good to go as I cleaned and filled the tank back to it’s right value in efforts to avoid any additional charges. I was told I did not need to review or sign anything. Only to receive an email with an additional charge for gas showing the needle was below what it was actually returned at. This transaction will be disputed as it is I correct. I have rented U-Haul a several times before but this is a first and last for this location. Highly disappointed. This was a very biased experience.

My experience with UHAUL was horrible. The equipment I reserved online was not available at this location, with no immediate solution offered. I was eventually told that I can pick up the appliance hand truck at a further location in Riverdale, which was well out of the way. It took over an hour for me to receive my Uhaul truck. Because of this delay, I missed the time to get my belongings to my storage unit. I had to then find a place to park my uhaul overnight so that I can bring it back tot the storage next day. I eventually brought it back to the original location to house.

When picking up my truck at this location I notice that I was being charged for insurance $16. I informed the person checking me in that didn’t want insurance and he informed me that he will take it off of my bill. When I return the truck I told him that that the charges for insurance was still on my bill he stated that he will remove the charges and that I will receive a bill in my email showing the deduction. To my surprise a few min later I receive a bill with the charges for insurance still on it. I will never use this location again and in fact I may never use uhaul again.
