Samuel II only wish that location carried supplies. I had to go to another store
DRUSILLA TThe employee was on her phone while I was attempting to check out. She became preoccupied with other work. She indicated that someone would be out to help me lift the tandem axle trailer up on my truck's hitch but no one came to help. She did not provide me with a cable, which should already be connected to the trailer, so I had to go back inside and request a cable. The inside of the trailer was dirty, full of gravel and dirt.

Alan CThe location I booked at, that was 7 minutes down the street from me, had multiple trailers for the entire rental period with no reservations on them. However, I was forced to drive 4 hours round trip to go pick up and drop off a trailer from a location very far from my house. I called to confirm with the original booking location and they confirmed they had the trailers and they had no reservations during or after my rental period. The reservation person who called to change the pickup and drop off location was anything but helpful and seemed completely disengaged and unwilling to help at all. Standard responses like "sir, the agreement states we can change the location of pickup at our discretion" were all I got. Based on this experience I will never use uhaul again.

Regina HI will never use U-Haul again. I got ripped off on a bogus gas charge. I filled the gas tank to the same level as I dropped it off, and got a $60 fuel charge. I even submitted a picture.

I received horrible customer service and the vehicle I received was not only beat up but the mileage on my contract was completely off compared to the odometer when I got into the vehicle. By over 4000 miles…. Overall just please don't waste more peoples money.

Andrew PThe Bolingbrook location was GREAT, but the only reason we had to use the Bolingbrook location was because even though we made a reservation two months in advance in Iowa city, U-Haul called two days before our move date and told us they did not have a truck for us and there were no U-Haul trucks available in Iowa supposedly. U-Haul actually does this quite frequently in Iowa City to college students. U-Haul takes more reservations then they actually have trucks for. Every year U-Haul cancels on people two days before their lease ends leaving them without a truck even though they had a reservation. So we had to get our U-Haul in Bolingbrook Illinois and drive an empty truck 200 miles and they charge $.99 a mile. We had a reservation to rent a truck in Iowa for 3 Days, drive it one way to Illinois for $300. Since they canceled our reservation we ended up paying $500 for 1 day to drive round-trip from Illinois. So we have a theory that in Iowa City U-Haul cancels any reservations that are for longer than one day so that they can cash in on more truck rentals. Renters please beware when you make a reservation with U-Haul. They will have you believe you have a reservation and then two days before your move they might tell you otherwise.

DANIEL SI set my rental up for an after hours pick up ... Followed the instructions only to find the key was NOT in the lockbox ... Had to wait until they opened to get key which delayed my day by several hours. Staff was friendly and helpful to resolve the matter but put a cramp in my moving day.

sandra hMake your app work if you are gonna force people to use it. It just gave me error messages whenever I did anything so I had to speak with the cashier. This normally isn't an issue, but they were already closed so this lady had to stay after hours to help me. Also, when I dropped off the rental the app didn't actually register the return and I had to call uhaul directly to resolve it.

Bruce BThe trailer I rented was difficult to put on. The trailer also didn't even have the lock off from precious renter so I had to stop by Ace Hardware to boot cut it off and it wasn't swept out. The lady was super sweet though.
steven SI was disappointed that I was charged for mileage from a location the was 20 miles further than where I booked from. I feel if the equipment isn't where I booked from some type of allowance should be given for the inconvenience.

ETHEL AWas informed of change in rental location (from the one I have used many times) the night before. Had to pick up truck before new location opened (7:00 a.m.). Was supposed to get an unlock code for key lockbox the night before. Did not receive anything. Got to location in the morning and called 800 number for assistance. Recording said hold time would be 50 minutes. Went to lock box, and it was unlocked, so we got key and figured out which of three trucks was ours. None of them were locked. Got our truck and headed out. Got a call from the location around 2:00 p.m. asking if I picked up the truck. We were half way to Southern Indiana at that point. Got an email shortly after that with the check-out information. A little late for that.
