DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!! Location forgot the dolly. Due to the missing dolly, I was unable to move any large items. I called the location and he wanted me to drive 60 miles (@.99 mile + gas 3,5 gallon) to retrieve it. He couldn't care less about the expense to me. I He said I should take it up with UHaul. Uhaul said I should take it up with him. Both entities should realize that I just had a newborn baby and her mother with suffering from health conditions due the pregnancy. They are taking further hurting my family financially.Christopher S.

The establishment is poor in terms of service. This is a car service place and even though there was ample parking, the owner would t provide us one for our car for 3 hours. He was not courteous and honestly very rude. We wouldn't recommend this location.Souvik S.
My wife and I went to drop off the car on Sunday night. We used the online App to close out. I kept trying to upload my odometer and gas reading picture to the app and it kept failing. I tried many many times. I made sure the U-Haul app had permissions to my phone. It did not work. I called U-Haul was sent to customer service then tech support for about a hour on hold. Then I went home with the van. Called customer service asked to speak to the manager and they hung up on my. Waited 10 minutes called back and asked to speak to the manager and they hung up on me again. I will never use U-Haul again due to the disrespect I received from this company.ARAZ S.

Customer service via phone is TERRIBLE!!! It takes more than a half hour to get on the phone to speak with someone, and when you do they are extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. The location which I received the vehicle from was fine, the vehicle itself was in good condition as well.Amanda H.

Scheduled pick up fot 9a 5/9. truck was there but no key box? signed in on line, told had to wait till location opened at 12p?? had to move the hand truck to be able to secure very long boxes to the side wall. never ised the hand truck, but charged 14 $. i have my own hand trucks.Scott W.
The process of picking up your U-Haul any time you wanted showed no detailed instructions. No step-by-step instructions. I arrived at 7am. Did not know where to find the keys. I went to several other U-Haul's to try to obtain a truck. Finally, I returned to the original location and was told by the gas station personnel they did not know how the process worked either. We called Customer Service several times and were kept on hold. We finally figured the little black box may hold the secret. We opened it, found a key; it was not locked. Another renter pulled up and together we figured out whose truck was whose. An hour from the original start time, we had the truck. While we were driving the truck, we received a call from someone from U-Haul that explained my paperwork to rent the truck was not complete and the truck could be reported stolen. So, while driving, I confirmed the information; i.e., copy of license via phone. The truck was great. The process was horrible; a nightmare.Robin D.

We had a horrible experience with U-Haul (at no fault of the above location). We were told there was a guaranteed truck for us at our storage facility location (U-Haul owned), but there was not. We were not told this until we showed up to pick up the truck and were redirected to the above location as well. This is the fourth time in the past year that I have used U-Haul and this has happened EVERY time. Unfortunately, I will no longer be using U-Haul and I will also be sharing my negative experiences with my family/friends who are also moving this month.Benjamin S.

First of all, one of the staffs in the office didn't a mask on and there was no effort of social distancing or use of plastic screen between him and a customer. This is unacceptable to put your customers lives at risk in a pandemic. Secondly, the check out experience was the worst. I have used U-Haul in other locations and never experienced such customer service. The staff couldn't check out the vehicle for me and sent me a few invalid links, and was very inattentive the whole time. I ended up figuring out myself and went through the on-line check in. However, he couldn't figure out the keys after all the work and we had to wait till his other colleague to help, who was way more professional and had mask on and use plastic screen at his desk.Shengyun H.

you sent several emails about the process, but most did not have a link to log into your account to handle the transaction. Very frustrating and easy to fix. The online experience can be greatly improved. Do some user testing and you will be able to make improvements that should not cost much money and will make for a better user experience.Jeffrey B.

I had to rent during the pandemic to move my college student out and it felt very safe. Both the facility and the truck were clean and the employees were friendly and quick. Location is at a gas station, which was very convenient for refueling before return.Gizella S.
I reserved for Bridgewater location which is less than a mile. Unfortunately it was changed to somerset location which is 7 miles away from my home which costed me to pay for 14 miles.dileep R.

Was overcharged for the truck. Supposed to be.99 a mile was charged 1,99 a mile. They didnt finish my contract for 3 days and then overcharged me. Never againLaquan C.
The guy attending the gas station had zero knowledge on how to rent the truck and how to even start the return process. While I kept browing the website until it load and was able to return it, it would have been a hassle had I gone with the attendant of "just returning your keys in the black box should be fine". At least put sign up by the black box on how to rent and return the truck, the need for so many pictures with no precious knowledge, again, just poor communication.Astrid G.

Truck had a tired appearance and the check engine light was on. I was quoted.99 cents per mile at another location but that location did not have a truck and found this for me at this location (which I very much appreciated that effort on my behalf). I realize the official rate for the weekend is 1,99 $ . Unfortunately when I realized the 1,99 $ rate applied I did not have enough time to locate a truck from a competitor and location representative said there was no leeway on pricing. My takeaway feeling was that I overpaid 250 $+ for a well worn feeling truck with a check engine light and no one waa available at 3:00pm on a Saturday. I had to make decision on whether to drive it or not. To be fair u had no incident with the truck I have another rental set up for next weekend but that rental i placed with Penske. Had to go to another location than originally wanted to go for pick up. The guy was trying to charge us more than what was quoted from the U-Haul site and when we were ready to go, the trailer was not attached to the truck, we had to do it ourselves because they told us they would charge us extra to attach the trailer to the truck.Christopher R.

19,95 $ rental is misrepresentation with all the added charges it cost 6 times the rate for a half a day rental. I was charged 117,76 $ for a 19,95 $ a day rent. I will rent from Costo the next time and keep a van for the weekend.WILLIAM W.

Picking up after 6 pm with mobile was not a good experience. There are lots of issues with Mobile app and It didnt worked properly. Android app does not work. I had to call my friend to use iphone. Even on Iphone app, it was not smooth process. This mobile app pick up is not designed well by IT. When it comes to get code foe keys, it just showed blink of seconds and disappeared. Test thorely your Android and Iphone app before asking customers to use that.Ronak M.

The Attendant did not have my information available, he asked me to download the U-Haul App, which took over 15 mins to set up, and basically had no clue what he was doing. I have very satisfactorily rented from U-haul several times without this degree of difficulty and aggravation. I also got charged for two gallons of fuel when I made sure that the tank was filled back to the same level. It is not the 9,00 $ but it just added more dissapointment. Spoke to Mark Ello from U-Haul to confirm the rental. Went to the location I requested for the rental and they sent my son and myself to a location 15 minutes away. When we arrived at Resta's there was a couple that had been there 2 hours. We had to wait for them to be take care of. When it was my turn one man started the rental then another man came in and started it all over again. The pickup paperwork was suppose to take 5-10 minutes according to Mr. Ello. Instead it took over an hour. No one told the couple before us or myself that we had to download their app to finish the pick-up. Moving is stressful but Uhaul managed to make it even more stressful.Steven W.
I don't know why I had to pick up the van in this location, when, on the way home, at a U-haul location I know (Rt. 9 in Sayreville, NJ) and that is a lot closer to my home, there were at least a half dozen cargo vans on their lot! Seemed like I was taken out of my way just because I used the on-line option.Peter Z.
