The truck wasn't at the location promised. Wny should I have to pay an environmental fee? The truck itself seemed like it needed some mechnical work.

I had to go to two different U-Haul places The first I sat in the lobby for over 30 minutes waiting on somebody to get there and then the second one charge me twice so no I won't be using U-Haul again.

Where i move to went over the mileages by 10,1 this is a rip off by u-haul 5+ of the miles was to the moving point from the truck pick-up and 5+ miles from the moving point to return the truck i am filing a complaint with Better Business

david gI had to rent a much larger truck because cargo vans were not available for one way rental due to policy. The 10 foot truck was not even 1/4 full and it got 13 miles to the gallon. I believe this was not an environmentally friendly policy on U-Haul's part and it cost me a lot more money. I did not pickup the rental from the same location that I reserved it. The pickup location was fine. U-Haul's rental policy was not.

Lisa DI reserved a pick up time on Friday after Thanksgiving of 10am. The company website said they would be open. When I arrived there was a 5x8 trailer out front but there was a sign on the door that said they would be closed til Monday for the Thanksgiving holiday. There was no one to help me hook up the trailer. I desperately needed the trailer so I hooked it up myself, which I shouldn't have done because of a buldging disk. I wasn't even sure I had hooked it up right. When I arrived at my destination my brother checked the hook up. My drop off at Uhaul on Capital Blvd the next day was awesome. They took care of my reservation which wasn't even in the computer because Rivertowne had not finalized my reservation. I will NEVER rent another trailer from a non-Uhaul business. I have rented a lot of trailers over the years and most of the time I don't even have to get out of my vehicle. Rivertowne in New Bern NC should not be allowed to rent Uhauls.

Charles JI suggest you install a separate "run away chain" of some sort to insure the vehicle on the tow dolly is securely attached to the dolly. The tire straps can easily get loose and fail to secure the vehicle sufficiently and there is no other backup system to prevent the vehicle from becoming an accident. When we arrived at our destination one wheel had no strap and the other was quite loose. I had tightened the straps on the ratchet to where the tire was pressing tight to the front of the wheel well on both sides. I am quite familiar with the correct way to secure a vehicle on a tow dolly having spent 12 years touring the country with my Tiffin Allegro towing a Jeep. I also installed a "Run Away Chain".
