Have tech support fix the glitches in the system. It took me 44 mins to return the equipment and the only option was to do it online. The system kept kicking me out to restart after entering all my info. My location is always on, the system continued to say turn on location. Waited on hold 53 mins for assistance never answered. I arrived 1 hour and a half early, and yet the whole experience almost made my return late.Shanice W.

The electronic check in process was a mess and took my partner and I nearly an hour.Rosathea M.
The truck was really dirty inside. They ultimately charged me about 50 miles more than I actually drove. And charged me for fuel even though I returned it with more fuel than when I took it. Pretty blatant fraudulent business activity. When I brought this up to them, they said there was nothing they could do and gave me a number to UHaul. Thankfully I took before and after geo/time tagged photos of the speedometer. Avoid these folks.tou K.

They did not have the trailer I reserved. The guys working were solid and set me up with a different smaller one but I was not able to move everything I needed to with the smaller trailer. I think my experience with u-haul was bad not so much the pick up placeChris C.

I would not recommend your company to a friend, simply because when the reservation was made the night before everything I reconfirmed with the customer service representative came to be not accurate. We set the pick up for a location that come to find out they didn't do overnight pick up. She also told me that the reservation was in my name and she only needed the name of the person driving to add them to the record. But when we called to find out why we couldn't find the keys we were told that the reservation had to be remade in the drivers name. My original reservation was for 3 AM at the Maplewood location and I ended up not being able to get the van until 415AM at a location in St. Paul.Roberto V.
Tried to rent from another location and they were unable to find my reservation. Assistant manger helped me find a trailer at a different location. Tried to call and confirm and phone number out of order. Went to the location and was told there internet was down because they didn't pay the phone bill. Had do transaction on cell phone. Left with no paperwork in hand. Not what I would expect from a large company like this.Steven V.

Rockstar Auto was/is a blight on the UHaul company brand. The location does not even come up on Google Maps and the stated address is Not where the office is located (the actual location is down he street and around the corner from the stated address). Rockstar Auto does not have a customer service counter. Just a covey office in an old building which you have to press a buzzer and be let in to. Rockstar Auto doesn't even have a functional printer, any of the literature or even covers for the rental agreements. Rockstar Auto has none of the rental moving supplies like dolleys, boxes, shrink wrap, or even moving blankets which were pre ordered online. I had to go to another UHaul location ( the one which I had originally requested for rental pickup) to get the moving supplies that I had ordered. Rockstar Auto made me put the trailer on the towing vehicle and did not even inspect the attachment ;which is contrary to all the other experiences I have done with UHaul. I believe that UHaul company should cease contracting with Rockstar Auto and completely dissociate itself from Rockstar Auto since it gives UHaul a bad reputation and has significant safety and liability concerns.Ronald T.

The vehicle was difficult to find - the instructions in the app were inaccurate, and I had to drive around for a while to find it. The van was very dirty when I picked it up, and the dash indicated it had a tire with low air, which also made it impossible to read the odometer until I figured out that it flashed whenever I turned on the ignition - which I then had to do several times to get a reading and a picture. When I went to get the key, it wasn't in the designated lock box. The app told me to go inside the pickup location, which was extremely messy and not professional in the slightest. I was extremely unimpressed all around. It makes me very wary to use U-Haul's online reservation system again, and I definitely won't be renting at this location again.Daniel H.
Rented a dolly. Truck didn't have a dolly so had to take it from another truck. As I was returning the keys into the drop box. Some guys approached me aggressive asking what I was doing. I told him I just drop off the keys. He was not happy and said I can't do that and that he needs to check out the miles and gas first. I use the website to check in and check out, didn't want to deal with anyone. But he just gave me a attitude and walk away. I think he works for the dealership thereGer V.

Your 24/7 service is god awful. Trying to get the truck checked out online and over the app is one of the most confusing, broken systems I have seen. I had scheduled pickup at 8 am. I was in the lot sitting next to the truck at 8 am and your website wouldn't update saying I was in the correct location until after 9 am. But it still counted that hour as part of my rental. Thankfully I didn't need that hour, but wasting time due to a bad system on your part is not cool.Jesse K.

The Uhaul check in process was incredibly time consuming, overly complicated and frustrating. It took over a half an hour which cut into our already short rental time. Highly disappointing. Would reconsider using U-Haul in the future due to the check-in process.Mitchel M.
No one was there; I dropped it off early, about 8:00. While there I called the number for Rockstar Automotive, but got a recording only; the recorded message just says "leave a message" without identifying the business so I could not really tell if it was the right place. I tried, as instructed, to use the U-Haul website, which started to work but when it got the place where the app wanted to confirm my location it could not read my location, even though I followed the instructions to let the U-Haul app have my location. BEcause I had a plane to catch I could not wait around. I had my husband call through the morning, then called Rockstar when I got home. No answer, ever. Late in the afternoon I called U-Haul. Waited nearly an hour on hold (after being told my approximate wait time was 15 minutes). When I finally spoke to a person (who was very lovely and helpful), she could confirm that the truck had not been checked in, had only the number for Rockstar that I did, but told me that she had put in a notice for them to call me when the truck was marked received. I did, the following day, get an email confirming that the truck was checked in, but nobody called me. Not only was the wait time on the phone nearly an hour, your hold music (if it can be called that) is horrible.SIOBHAN M.

After calling and confirming after hours pickup the code for the key box was not provided. Luckily, I presume an employee drove in and gave me a phone number to call. Three phone numbers later I talked to a U-Haul employee I believe, and did get the code. The bind I got into was the storage unit I needed to empty out closed at 9pm and loosing about 90 minutes trying to get the truck was frustrating. This is the first time I had difficulties getting a truck and I have used U-Haul numerous times in the recent past.Christopher S.

I picked up the truck and and I end up putting more gas in then it had in it when I first picked it up then she still charge me an extra 1450 for gas she tried to tell me it was full when I picked it up and that was a lie because it wasn't even on the line right before. I picked up the truck I didn't even go that far it cost me $30 in gas just to go from 619 Mendota Street went to 1166 Hazelwood off of Maryland it's like 5 minutes away from my house so was not happy I felt like they took advantage of me and overcharged me for gas I have a truck myself and $10 last me all day I can understand if I was going across town but literally it's 5 minutes away and to charge me 1450 after already put $11 in gas in is crazyNICOLE L.

I wasn't aware that there wasn't a safe place where the dolly could be out up safely. And I didn't know there wouldn't be some sort of hatch to make putting furniture into the truck easier. There wasn't any kind of explanation of how the truck works upon my arrival after stating I've never used one before. No kind of equipment demonstration . I reserved my truck, for a mobile pickup, at 8am. I couldn't get it until they opened. I added furniture blankets and a dolly to my order, but they didnt have it. I am frustrated with how frequently uhaul changes my pickup location. This has happened with the past 3 rentals. In this case, the location was not open at the time my family planned to start moving my grandmother, which required us all to adjust our schedules. I chose the original pickup location because it was closest to my home. In the future I will be choosing another rental company even if they are farther away.John C.

We were about to drive from MN to Alaska, cutting through Canada and snowy Rocky Mountains in a cold October, all during COVID19. We were extra careful in asking after a good truck and we were very happy with the maintenance of the vehicle and the staff as they answered our questions and were just warm and friendly to us.
