The truck looked as though it had not been cleaned in a very long time. In this dangerous time it is URGENT that disinfecting be done on every truck or piece of equipment you rent. I was in fear of infecting myself with COVID-19 when I got inside the truck. I am a very careful person and this still made me nervous.

Upon returning the U-Haul to this location with a quarter of a tank of gas more than was supposed to be left in it I am told that I am going to be charged for going 5 miles over my allowed mileage. Then I am handed a broom and told that I have to sweep out the back of the U-Haul again because I left a few pieces of grass in the cargo trailer. So instead of being reimbursed for the extra $20.00 in fuel that I returned the U-Haul with I am charged for $2.16 worth of mileage and threatened to be charged another $25.00 for three pieces of grass in a 20 ft trailer. So again I most definitely will not be recommending U-Haul to any one. I will be taking my future business to Penske from now on and letting every one I know about my experience with U-Haul.

I could not upload the photos during after service hours using my mobile phone due to the app giving an error. I couldn't do it several times, so I eventually gave up. You can check the log files. Can you reimburse the after-hours service fee?

Worst experience ever. Will NEVER use UHaul to go to Tuscaloosa again. NEVER!!! UHaul should be banned from Tuscaloosa immediately since there are no damn convenient drop off locations. I got nothing but the run around from UHaul. This entire experience has soured me on UHaul completely. I will encourage others to avoid UHaul completely. NEVER use UHaul in Tuscaloosa, AL!!

This location needs a better sign marking it as U-Haul. They had no inventory on hand which made it difficult to find. It is hard to drive by a location and then have to turn around while pulling a trailer on a busy highway.

This location needs a larger U-Haul sign. Difficult to see if you’re not familiar with the area but other than that very easy drop off.

Somehow, my pickup location was changed to a place 1.5 hrs away....I had a print out of my reservation stating the McF location. Thankfully there was one trailer left in the Size I needed and these people made it all work.

(BTW, this review is for UHAUL CORPORATE not the pickup location) . I was very unhappy when I received the email two days prior to my pickup of my 10ft truck that I would be getting a 15ft truck. I called customer service and they informed that there were none available. I remarked "I MADE A RESERVATION FOR A 10ft TRUCK! If I wanted a 15ft truck that is what I would have asked for". No concession was made just a comment back "well its a big weekend for the college kids moving". VERY FRUSTRATING!!! There should have been communication made when I initially made the reservation that I was not going to be getting a 10ft truck NOT LAST MINUTE! Again, I should have received some compensation for the inconvienence and poor communication. This will be something that will stick with me for sure.

NORTHPORT LOCATION (0 *) :( I WILL NEVER EVER SET FOOT IN THIS LOCATION AGAIN !! - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! :( IT WAS A PAWN SHOP & I WAS MET AT THE DOOR BY A LARGE WHITE GURAD DOG THAT BARKED AT ME & STOOD IN FRONT OF THE DOOR! I DID NOT WANT TO ENTER THE STORE & WHEN I STEPPED IN THE DOOR THE DOG WOULD NOT LET ME IN & CONTINUED TO BARK AT ME.. I ASKED THE MAN COME & TO PUT THE DOG UP & PUT IT UP NOW! HE ACTED MAD & TOOK HIS TIME COMING TO GET THE DOG. HE DID NOT SAY A WORD TO ME & PUT IT UP IN A BACK ROOM. THERE WERE 3 PEOPLE IN THE STORE & THE GIRL AT THE REGISTER LOOKED VERY UNEASY BUT DID HER BEST TO BE PLEASANT. THEY HAD A COMPUTER PROBLEM... THE MAN HAD TO CAME OVER TO TRY TO FIX IT BUT HAD TROUBLE TOO. HE STILL HAD NOTHING TO SAY & THERE WAS A WOMAN SITTING IN A CHAIR BEHIND THE COUNTER & SHE STAIRED STRAIGHT AHEAD & NEVER SAID A WORD... EVERY TIME I SPOKE, THE DOG BARKED AT ME FROM BEHIND THE CLOSED DOOR. I FELT "VERY" UNCOMFORTABLE IN THAT STORE :( ! THE MAN WENT TO ATTACH THE TRAILER TO OUR TRUCK, HE STILL DID NOT SAY ANYTHING OTHER THAN TO ASK IF I HAD AN ADAPTER FOR THE TRAILER HOOKUP. HE ASKED MY HUSBAND TO PULL UP SO HE COULD LOOK INSIDE THE TRAILER.. WHEN I ASKED IF I COULD INSPECT THE INSIDE OF THE TRAILER TO SEE FOR MYSELF IF IT WAS IN GOOD CONDITION, HE BARELY OPENED THE DOOR & SLAMED IT SHUT & WALKED OFF STILL NEVER SAYING A WORD!!

We were charged a cleaning fee and having rented trucks in the past I am very conscious of ensuring that they are clean and empty of any debris upon returning. This truck was clean and in the same condition as when picked up. I am disputing this cleaning fee and will not accept it. I want it refunded immediately. It is evident that this location, which is also a pawn shop, uses underhanded and dishonest practices to ensure revenue from returns.

The truck was clean but the ride was bouncing loaded and unloaded. It pulled to the right the whole time. I drove same type truck from Penske and it wasn't nothing like this ruff ride.

I originally requested a 15 ft from meridian with car trailer did not get call until Thurs when I was supposedly reserved for sat Wrong sz uhaul had to drive 90 miles out of my way to get right so customer service was terrible and I wuestioned if they had even passed elementary school. I was not not compensated for extra time or gas it took to go 90 miles there and back out of my way to pickup in Tuscaloosa so I lost an entire day of packing due to uhaul inconvenience and was forced to leave half of my things on my move out of state. I will never use uhaul again. Would not recommend to my worst enemg

I have zero issues with the location itself. The staff was friendly and helpful. My issue is with U Haul itself. When I tried to check in online the staffer was incompetent and insisted on calling the numbers of friends and family to test them. I don't appreciate having people I care about harassed. That alone has given me resolve never to do business with U Haul again. Also, don't charge people for cleaning when they've removed everything. That's fucking bullshit.

Have the uhaul trucks SERVICED and make sire they have plenty of oil, power steering fluid, exc. Also having them atleast 1/2 wY clean would be nice.

I was sent to 3 different locations to obtain a cargo van only to be told there are none in this area, after I made a reservation 2/3 weeks in advance. I was told at that time, there would be one available. The truck I was given, was very difficult to drive and handle, considering I am 71 years old.

The guy that took care of the trailer drop off told me that I could be liable for as much as triple my rate by dropping off the trailer at a different location in Tuscaloosa. U-Haul has got to be more clear about how this works .
