The people on location have zero to do with U-Haul rental. Spent 1 hour on the phone just picking up truck with U-Haul. Was unpleasant experience . Waste of time !

mordecai l**WARNING. DO NOT RENT THIS VEHICLE.** This vehicle was dangerous. It smelt like exhaust, the suspension was extremely bouncy, the transmission switched gears that caused the vehicle to brake without touching the breaks, the suspension sounded like it made noises. This vehicle and your company needs to be reported. UHAUL upcharging is atrocious and overall my experience was traumatizing. Truly a despicable experience and a terrible company overall.
Jonathan MDo not rent a truck from a U-Haul location not attended by a person. While their computer rental system is a good idea, it is a total failure.

Kirk NAbsolutely the WORST rental experience EVER! The Uhaul app, that we were FORCED to use at this location, DOES NOT WORK! They obviously need to send it back to their QA team. This location is a convenience store and the clerks have NO CLUE about the Uhaul rental process and have no knowledge how to assist. Plus the truck contained no dolly or blankets which were ordered. THE WORST!!!! Rent from UHAUL only if they have a counter for assistance, as you will definitely need it, if forced to use the APP, as the phone support took an hour before I could pull the truck out of the parking lot!
PATRICIA BIt was extremely difficult and even though I wasnt able to easily pick up the truck which put me behind in my move there was no grace period and no concession made by u haul I was told that I would be charged for an extra day when I had only rented the truck for four hours. I would never use that location to get a truck again. Very dissatisfied.
david hUhaul phone support sucks. The app is horrible. I made a reservation at a different location and U-Haul cancelled it and could not give me a reason why. We used U-Haul for work and have switched truck companies.
Rick JI had a horrible experience. My pickup took so long that I missed my window of time to get my furniture. Which is the whole reason I rented the truck. When I called U-Haul on the day they said I'd be ok hold for over an hour. I was offered $50 by a customer service person and I let them know that this issue was not resolved for me and I'd like a full refund and they did not reply. I followed up still no reply. And I just got my bill and they over charged me for gas when I out more fuel in the tank than when I got it. I've rented with U-Haul for over 10 years and never had an experience this poor.
CHRISTIAN MThe back roll up gate on this 10' truck was constantly getting stuck making it take 2 people to open it. Also, the cab was disgustingly dirty and smelled like sweat.
KIM GWhen we first arrived to return the truck, the rep at the mobile station said he didn't handle returns. Then I called the number on our instruction and the same rep who said he didn't handle returns asnwered the phone. After that, he changed his mind and ended up calling another person that did handle the return and everything went smoothly after that.
David DFirst of all you shouldn't have your customers on hold for over one hour while I was trying to get important information. Second the keys were not locked up as directed on your website. Windows were filthy and I wasn't given the dozen furniture pads, but charged for them. I honestly feel that Uhaul doesn't care about the way their business is being run. What a difference from 10 years ago.
John BI reserved a dolly to use to help with my move. When I arrived there was no dolly. I was " allowed" to use the business location's dolly which was in terrible shape. I'm not sure how it survived the heavy boxes we used it for. Also, the location is just a gas station and the attendant there doesn't seem to know much of anything about the Uhaul business operated out of the station. He called someone and it all had to be handled over the phone and through my cell phone.
Belinda FI was not informed that I needed to call in to get a code to release the truck to me. The gentleman in the mobile station knew nothing.
