To whom it may concern I picked up a 10 moving van from Florence Alabama to NYC the dealer is not check the truck before releasing it to me and when I got to my apartment where my lease was up and I had to move out I opened the back of the truck to see the truck was filthy dirty and there were cockroaches and bud bugs the most disgusting thing I called back the dealer and he says sorry I forgot to check the truck before I gave it to you the only thing I could do is take the truck back and give you your money back that was not a option for me I picked up the truck and I had to get out the apartment the same day I called u hale and they told me the only thing they can do is take the truck back or wait till the morning all the calls are recorded so I told them I will clean the truck out and how this is not the way a customer is supposed to be treated was so scared to find bedbugs or cockroaches in my stuff there was a spray in the back to kill cockroaches and bedbugs as well I had no option but to use that truck mind you they did not give me the opportunity to come get a bigger truck or a switch out so I cleaned the hole truck sprayed it down and got on the road doing 60mph on the highway to find out that that brakes are no good and the truck was shacking with my car in the back on a trailer stop at a rest area and open the back and see cockroaches on the walls of the truck so I called u hale again and they told me a manager will call me with in 3 days I got a call from the manager and I explained everything to him and how this is not how a Customer's service is supposed to be and say look I can give you $200 back after that he lies and tells me I was offered for a bigger truck that I was not because I would definitely change to a bigger truck if someone gave me that offer it even states in my contract the lady I spoke to on the phone with u hale she said they didn’t have any trucks and I told her I would clean it out so this manager gets back to me after he says he can offer me $200 that he would not be able to even give me $200 back because I don’t have the receipt cleaned out When I spoke to the lady about how I was going to clean it she did not tell me I need any receipt she told me someone will call me how does the manager offer me $200 first and then say I can’t even give you that so why would you offer to give me $200 back in the first place so first the dealer didn’t do his job right gave me a nasty dirty truck with the brakes shaking when the truck gets to 60mph and then the manager offering me $200 back and then saying he can’t even do that and actually blocks my number after I sent him pictures of the cockroaches

Have knowledge about the u-haul app, print off a recipe with the deposit amount that was took from a customer, have better customer courtesy,put in the right information/time for pickup

I failed to mention that the equipment DC3171L had an alignment problem in that I had to turn the steering wheel to the left throughout the trip to get it to go straight. Further, the right mirrors could not be properly rotated to allow for another view of the right side of the truck. The right mirrors were preset and impossible to move to allow an easy view of the right side. I had to lean forward quite a bit to see the right side of the vehicle. Both issues should be corrected on that truck. Thank.s

No other customers at this location when I returned rental. I had to disconnect car dolly myself from my truck. Person who helped me was personable but seemed he didn't want to go outside to check rental in.

Vehicles need to be thoroughly checked. The one I rented was missing a mirror on the passenger side. It was the broad view mirror. Also it had dried mud in the floor on the drivers side.

Had bad tire on trailer. Lucky I have trailer tires so I installed one of mine so I could go with out having to wait for someone to come fix. I did my self. When i got to return i took my tire off and put the bad tire back on. So I was able to make my trip

Somehow tag trucks for distances. If I wasn't so pressed for time, I would have dropped uhaul and got a Penske truck. I was extremely pissed off when uhaul switched pickup location, and then gave me a hunk of junk for a twelve hour drive . I would give 1 star rating.

Location people were very friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Equipment is junk!!! Lugs are practically rusted off the trailer. Wheels not balanced and caused vibration the entire trip, and then to top it all off one of the trailer tires had a blowout and stranded me on the side of the road. Maintain equipment and this wouldn’t happen!

This location was very good. My problem is with the Pelham location, and the rate I had to pay. It is u acceptable when you reserve a truck, then told it was given to someone else and you have to go out of state to get the truck you need. Between the truck issues and the moving help who never showed up to do their job, I’m very disappointed with U haul.

The main representative was with another customer, and I waited. A second person came out to help me. Still the check in process took about 15 minutes from the time she started working with me. It seems the U-haul automation system takes a long time to check in and out.

Problem was truck to be rented was at Pawn Daddy 1694 Wilson Dam Road, Muscle Shoals was broken down and I checked on the rental the day before to make sure every thing was OK. They sent me the next day to get the truck & trailer 20 miles away instead of having it brought to their site.

No smoking in trucks. Smelled awful. Still Had trash from previous user in cab. We had the truck for just a few hours. Agent said it was reserved for that evening. Several hours later, it was still where I parked it, so he lied to get us back before he quit for the day. And the $19.95/ day truck cost us over $40 for 3 hours plus another $10 for 20 miles of gasoline.

I never got an email from the company about my early pick up. So, I arrived a hour early, before the location was open and had to wait. I also was out of pocket 1.5 hours of labor from my movers. Because I couldn’t get my truck when it was promised to me. I can’t see a situation where I would trust this company again. One of the other rental companies will be getting my business from now on.

My uhaul experience was the worst experince I have ever had in retail in my 27 years of living. To start, the first uhaul retailer I visted (Lawrenceburg, Tn, @sears) was the rudest salesman I've ever encountered. He then claimed he could let out the truck that we asked for even though there where 2, this is after he made us wait 45mins after he claimed to not be "In charge of all that back there" this was infureiting but not my biggest issue. Nontheless, I needed a truck desperately and I do appreciate uhauls prices, so I waited till the next day and went to the one I have a contract for, (Killen, Al @specialized graphics) everything went smooth or so I thought. The representive was kind and helpful. BUT! he reassured us that we would not have to return the truck to that location because " it is in town" little did I know I shouldn't have trusted his assurance. I returned the truck in Florence (Grand rental station) promptly with gas meeting requirements. But now I've been slapped with another 158 dollar fee for doing what the guy in Killen told me to. I don't know if this email will help. But I do know I'm going to try and go back to the guy who sold me the rental to eat his words or fix this issue. I'm if this email will help anything but I do know that I will be sharing my experience with uhaul with all of my followers.
