The lock on the truck was not easy to get in to. It set me back 3 hrs because no one was at the location. I even called uhaul and was hung up on

John SDon't charge an extra $25 cleaning fee when the truck was clean when we returned it - even if it required a quick sweep, it isn't worth $25, especially when all the other charges add up to something much more expensive than I expected. It feels like a nickel-and-dime tactic.

Joey KThis is an overall complaint regarding U-Haul. I couldn't download the app, due to technical issues, so I spoke with technical support a few times. They had to get me in through the website vs. the app. I had to drive 35 miles away to get a U-Haul and then the code wouldn't come up. One person said it was because I showed up 30 minutes later than my scheduled time, another said the guy didn't put the key in the truck. The owners wife happened to drive up and she knew the code and opened the back of the truck and the key was there. I told the U-Haul rep. I had the key and was good to go. She said I couldn't go because the truck wasn't released to me in the computer. I gave her my reservation #, etc. and she still said I couldn't leave. Thankfully the lady called her husband and he came and did something on the computer to release the truck. It took me about 3 hours to get the truck and I would have been out of luck if the owner's wife didn't stop by on other business. I got 2 packs of moving blankets free for my trouble. I will never rent from U-Haul again!

melisssa FArrived Sunday afternoon at 24/7 drop location. Key wouldn't fit in key drop box. I put my blankets in the cab and locked up the truck. Uhaul application wouldn't work on my iphone, or my sister's android. Monday morning I returned at 08:15. Business (S&S Auto Parts) showed their hours were 08:00-5:00 but no one was there. I waited around some more and began wondering around the property. I found an "after hours number" and left a voicemail. Corey called back and told me to lift a decal on the drop box and there'd be a larger opening for the bigger keys. The decal stated so but most of the decal dealt with parking instructions. (which came first on the decal) Besides, when there's a visible key slot in the box, it is not intuitive to look for another slot! He said he'd had a problem with it. When I conveyed my difficulty in checking the truck in on the application he said it's "hit or miss" whether it works out here (Winnsboro, TX) and he'd check me back in, no worries. Tuesday I received a call from Uhaul asking why I hadn't returned by truck. They said they'd call S&S and take care of it. Later that day, I received a final billing and S&S charged me a $25 cleaning fee. I called S&S and left a voicemail asking what I could do better to avoid a fee in the future (we swept that truck out completely...It was clean. Cleaner that it was when I picked it up.) I received no response from Corey, which tells me he was just taking advantage of the situation. S&S is a pain in the ass, a poorly run business, and questionable business ethics. If I were Uhaul, I'd be looking for a better representative of your products.

Jody RCory Sanders at the Winnsboro, Texas location we rented from was excellent to work with. Vehicle was clean and Cory went out of his way to get the car hauler trailer. We will definitely rent from Cory again and will recommend him to all of our family and friends. Cory is an asset to U-Haul for sure.

GREGORY AIf youre going to be closed communicate with the customer what your wishes are if the keys you have don't fit in the drop box. Answer the phone numbers left on the door for after hour use. Don't expect a problem caused by business to be corrected by customer.

Steve GWhat I ordered wasn't available. The old man working when I came in to reserve a truck told me I could come on Saturday at 8 am to pick it up. The uhaul is closed all weekend, but he would be there for me to get my truck. I called a few days before to confirm, only to find the owner, Had no record. No notes on pick up time. He even said the old man doesn't even work Saturdays!!!! I needed two appl dollies, only got one. I needed 12 blankets, only got 6. He comment was "I only got what I got". Uhauls need to be open on the weekend, PEOPLE MOVE ON THE WEEKEND!!!

NATHANIEL ZI turned my trailer in 30 minutes before it was due in. I asked the young man that unhitched it about paperwork for checking it in. He said there was none. I then received an additional $20 charge for a late check-in. I was not late returning the trailer.
