There needs to be more light. I'm a women and their was not enough lighting outside. They could leave the lights on in the building and maybe then there would be adequate lighting/ visibility for safety or they could add a street light or motion sensor lights on the outside of the building.

I did not receive the furniture pads I requested. The storage bag was inside the truck body but it was very empty and contained nothing. Would like to be reimbursed the furniture pad fee. Everything else was fine.

The office was a muffler repair shop. the person was friendly but the office was quite cluttered. The lot it was on was small and was difficult to find a spot to park a 26 foot truck.

Wasn't a bad experience, but it could have been a little better..overall on a scale of 10 ...I would say it was 7.5 to 8
The trailer was filled with oily dirt. We had to brush it out as well as we could and put a tarp on the floor just to be able to put our furniture in it. I even put a note on the return paperwork in the Fredericksburg office explaining how unsatisfactory the conditions were. AND THEY CHARGED ME $15 to clean it!!!!!
The owner was so helpful and friendly that he made us feel like part of his family!

worst customer care ever
The old man running the place was greatly nice and professional but the service was unsatisfactory. The 10' truck was not clean when I received it and tank was not full as well. And the auto transport I drove almost 30miles to pick up was defective and I had to drive an 10miles to get another one at a different location. I don't understand the charges as well and would appreciate a follow up from your offices.
The gentleman who worked there was so understanding and accommodating despite the mess of UHaul and their disorganization and miscommunication. UHaul negliated to inform me of another location change. I had to call them to straightened the whole situation out. The woman on the phone helped, but the process was so backwards and needed to be improved on tremendously.
Over charged me and never refunded my money back

Richmond location took more than an hour to get truck rental processed. Then when I get in the truck I see that the dealer misrepresented the amount of gas in the truck, to my disadvantage. Once I fixed this issue, started driving for a few hours and realized the driver side mirror was being propped up by an folded up coffee cup, which became dislodged. The wind pushed the mirror toward the window and it was very difficult to see behind me. I mean, c"mon! Had to fix it with a few playing cards at my own expense. Drop off location in Tampa was professional. No problems there.
My experience was good so no improvements needed
Nothing wrong with the people at the location but uhaul messed up my reservation and charged me for two extra when I only requested one, could not give me a final price and the uhaul phone representatives did not provide correct information. I had no issues with the pickup but uhaul needs a LOT of work.

I would suggest to have a separate area for these small trailers ( enclosed gate ) with a one time code to get in or at least a chain with a combination lock and secure it to a pole or something and then the U-Haul dealer gets an email with the code to unlock it
Bobbie MacMillan was so helpful on the phone. He carefully explained the drop-off process and made the experience stress-free.

The website was very unhelpful for checking in early and we had to call the customer service line to get our rental check in completed. We kept getting an error message that our "request was not able to be processed at this time." Need to improve the website capabilities if you want to keep your customers coming back.

I am upset not at the sandston location but at Sylvia from the call center who severely misquoted me at 89 cents a mile and I was charged 1.29. I would have rented elsewhere as I am now in a huge bind due to the hidden weekend cost. No one in the call center is willing to rectify her misquote either. Very poor customer service
The representative was very courteous and nice. He was willing to assist and also called contact center when we encountered a problem. I am very thankful that he assist me on the day of my move.

Limited business hours on Saturday, a day when folks are likely to move. They close at 11:00 am on Saturday. Seriously.
The truck we picked up was vibrating and shaky steering. Should not have been rented until repaired. We were asked to pick up the truck on our way to our destination which was more than 30 miles from our destination which wouldn't have been an issue if this truck was in good condition. However we then had to pay double tolls going to our destination and was only compensated 10.00 off our price. We got taken advantage of from this deal. The truck was needed in Virginia Beach.

Staff very pleasant, instructive and professional.
The location itself was in an excellent place though the building wasn't the best. But, the attendant was very nice and appreciative that I had filled out everything online. In addition....the truck was super clean and had cold a/c. I was more than pleased with my u-haul rental on 8.31.16 from Sandston Muffler.
The location was closed and had sign on door that location would be closed for a week. Fortunately, the appliance dolly was not stolen out of the back of the truck as we could not lock it up. Does not seem like a good situation for trucks to be left unattended.
Could use a bigger parking area for U-haul drop off.
Get somebody there who knows what they are doing. You guys owe me $ 170.00 dollars because of this place. The guy told me that the running lights were working but they weren't. The state trooper pulled me off the highway and it cost me $ 170.00 to fix the trailer. And I would like to be refunded.
