If you are allowed to keep the uhaul one week then the rental place should be open so that you can return it. Rented on Wednesday to drive 3 days to Colorado and then we could not return the uhaul Saturday or Sunday because the facility was closed and when we didn’t make it to the shop within the hour of them opening we were charged an entire day.

Possibly explain what to do at the drop off location. I dropped the trailer off Sunday night and there wasn’t any clear directions as to what to do. So I just dropped the trailer off next to the other ones assuming that someone would see it.

the locations were fine. U Haul did not communicate pick up and drop off location so there were last minute changes to my schedule that were very inconvenient.

I wanted to share my experience using Sasak Trailers in Steamboat Springs, CO, for renting a 5x8 trailer to haul furniture for nearly 900 miles mid-winter to Marana, AZ. Having never pulled a trailer previously, before I picked up my trailer at Sasak I actually watched the "training" video on the U-Haul site. When I went to Sasak, the team there of Jodee and Ray were exactly like the video, with Ray attaching the hitch, wiring and safety chains in precisely the same steps as the video, and Jodee there to double-check and confirm safety. They followed every step to the max!! I actually laughed because they were sooooo good. Jodee handled all the paperwork and made everything a breeze. Both Jodee and Ray were professional, courteous and humorous. I'm sure they get those traits from the business owner, Larry Sasak, and to him I give kudos as well. I would actually give my experience with that location 10-stars. Thanks Jodee, Ray and Sasak Trailers for reducing stress levels and making this an enjoyable experience. Bud Phillips

Put tongue jacks on the 6x12 trailers, the great gal at Sasak is having to lift them by hand. Once the trailer is loaded there’s no way to unhook.

Both locally & Nationally I can’t say enough about the overall experience. Jodie was way more than accommodating on a Friday evening to wait for me and make sure I understood every aspect of the rental process. (Thank you so much Jodie) 2 hours later I was stuck in 15” of Snow only to have Bob (800 line) come to my rescue. Within 30 mins Bob had a tow truck onsite and pulling me out and at NO extra charge. So many reasons why my move may have not worked out to plan but both Jodie and Bob made sure I stayed on track and could not have been more helpful !!! Also, the constant communication from Uhaul online is a HUGE plus throughout the process !! Highly recommend Uhaul Nationally and locally here in Steamboat Springs, CO. !!!

The truck had poor seats. Bad lumber support, no height adjustment. Bad for a 1300 mile drive. The inside of the truck had rails for tying furniture etc. All ratchet ties have hooks, so tie rings would have saved hours of improvising with loops of rope.

Worked as advertised, no issues with equipment. Price deceiving, advertised as $29.00 to rent. It’s really $89.00, be honest with your pricing.

Zero signage at location made finding it difficult. Trailer drop off location is self service and unsignposted. Unhitched trailer and entered location only to find someone from another business telling me the person I needed to see is somewhere in the buiding. Never found this person after yelling out her name. Found another person that was also from another business that said don’t worry about it and that I would receive an email that same day or next day as proof of drop off. This took 5 days to receive.

Customer service was exceptional, but the price gouging was ridiculous. Uhaul should not be allowed to charge the way they do. The rent for the 6x12 trailer was less than $400 for going 2100 miles, and then I had to pay almost $900 for the same trailer to go 1600 miles. I don’t care what the demand is at whichever location, this is ridiculous and unethical!!!! I will NEVER rent another thing from Uhaul!!!!

No one responded to a phone call to pick up on a Saturday, despite a previous agreement. Thankfully Dave, a regional manager, helped us check in and rendered hitch up advice. Dave saved is!

We reserved a week ahead a large truck. We were given a very small truck. Weended up having to take three trips and used allot miles. The move took 3 times as long because of the samller truck and you charged me more because of the extra miles. We are still working on getting everything put back. I expect the cost of $1500 plus in additional labor. I am not sure why wereserve a truck ang than get a super small truck instead. I rent allot of uhauks and as a large customer I expect better service.

What you can do is give the customer ACCURATE information!! Half of my experince with your company was absolutely deplorable! Your company caused me MASSIVE stress by giving me a total runaround. I recently drove from Illinois to Colorado to pick up another car and bring it back to IL. The week before I left I reserved my auto-tow trailer. for some reason your reservation program would not accept the vehicle i was using to tow. It being a Silverado 2500 HD -it was more than adequate, however I was forced to call and have a U-haul operative book the trailer. I was on a very tight schedule as far as time and weather in the Rocky Mountains. I SPECIFICALLY asked the man who booked the trailer if it was definitely AT the Steamboat Springs location and he assured me it was. After driving 1000 miles, Iwas leaving Denver going to Steamboat and I received a call from a woman confirming my trailer reservation. She informed me that I would have to go to another town an hour past Steamboat to pick up the trailer since there was not a trailer in Steamboat, essentially adding 2 hours+ on to my already tight window. After expressing how unacceptable it was and being told that they would not bring the trailer to Steamboat, I conceeded and agreed to pick it up in Craig, the other town. An hour later I receive another call from the Craig U-haul telling me that they didn't have my trailer!! Needless to say I was extremely irate. What kind of a dog and pony show is your company running?!?! Promising me that the flatbed is, in fact, at the location I reserved, and then forcing me to drive another 2 hours to pick it up at a different place, and then telling me that they don't have it either!! REDICULOUS! As the guy on the phone was also talking to some woman in the background, I made it abundantly clear that THEY better figure something out, as I had driven 1200 miles planning on getting the trailer on an exact day so I would not get stuck in a storm in the mountains that was supposed to arrive the following day. After some time of searching in the computer, the guy said he would call me back. Well, he DIDNT call me back. I had to call him before they closed! BAD BAD customer service! TERRIBLE! He told me that "yes, they have my reservation." I said, "what does that mean? Has someone ACTAULLY gone out and LOOKED if the trailer is there?!" He said no but it was "green in the computer, so it should be there". Unbelievable, no one had checked! It wasnt until the next morning when I got a call from a wonderful, competent woman (unfortunately I cannot remeber her name) who actually noticed something and took the time to DO THE RIGHT THING. She said she saw that I was going from Steamboat to Craig to pick up an identical auto trailer as another man who was going from Craig to Steamboat to do!!!! What THE HELL is going on?!? So, there WAS a trailer in Steamboat all along? Talk about incompetence and massive un-needed stress! She offered to switch the reservations as I thanke

I specifically asked gentleman if I needed anything when I dropped off on September 10th and he said I would receive an email shortly showing unit returned, started receiving calls on Tuesday wanting info on when or where unit is,. I explained I dropped it off,. Lady over phone said she would note acct. Kept receiving emails saying rental needs to be returned! This is crazy,. Many failures in your system. You guys need a scanner or something that let's you check unit out and it notifies inventory,. Then on return same thing and immedately send customer email,. Not just doing this when your sales associate decides he feels like doing this,. I felt really harrassed over the last week, due to the failure of your drop off location,. And doubtful I will ever return as a customer.

Take into consideration extending the rental contract one day if the customer is coming on a Friday instead of Saturday to accommodate your 'on call' hours on Saturday that allow pick up until noon.
