Firstly, if your using the mobile app, the whole point is to pick up anytime you request it. I wasn't able to retrieve the key because the keys were being held inside the establishment, not in a lock box. Secondly, the original pick up reservation was in breinigsville , Pa. which was exactly 1,5 miles away from my home. U haul took it upon themselves to change my pick up site on the night before my scheduled day to pick up. The new pick up site was in hellertown, PA. about 20 miles away from my original pick up site. So I was obviously at the mercy of uhaul and I believe this is done purposely simply because this is the second time I've experienced this situation with this company. This type of behavior on the part of such a large rental moving company is unacceptable. The public needs to take action and report them to the proper agencies so as to stop them from continuing to doop the consumer. They also had the audacity to charge me for the mileage when the pick up location was changed by them. It's just atrocious how they continue to get away with this and nobody is held accountable for this treatment of the renter. Unbelievable.

Sales associate did not properly convert vehicle from a 9 foot van to a 10 ft van I rented. Therefore, the entire reservation got converted to an in-town, and I wanted a one-way rental. After TWO calls to the Uhaul schedule office, they noticed the error and changed it to a 10 ft van, but they still had to override a change to a one-way Had the associate in Hellertown simply made sure the correct vehicle size was entered, SHE could have entered a one-way rental from the beginning!! (9 ft van rentals can only be rented in town. 10 ft van rentals can be rented one-way, so because she entered it as a 9 ft, and not a 10 ft which I left with, she caused a lot of problems!! Took her 40 minutes to enter in the computer and to finish rental paperwork, and then over an hour for us to return in Glenside because of all of the phone calls and errors that had to be corrected from her not doing the rental agreement properly. Quite honestly.....I would like a full refund or I will never rent from you again! (You also kept a tank that was a 1/2 tank of gas over the required return limit. $60 of gas I put in in excess) !!!! The whole rental was absolutely awful!!!!!!!

Horrible experience. We had booked this trailer at a different location, when we arrived we were told the trailer was to be picked up at a different location. We never received notification that the pick up location had been moved. We had to drive 50 miles roundtrip and wasted about an hour and a half to just pick up the trailer. Really unacceptable. The original location was very matter of fact about the whole thing, was NOT apologetic, and talked down to us like it was our fault. They kept saying we had been notified, but we never received a text, email, or phone call regarding the location change. Even if we had, is a 50 mile out of our way trip and a wasted hour and a half from the original booked location acceptable? I should say definitely not - very poor customer service. The location where we eventually picked up the trailer was fairly efficient and nice to work with however.

The Hellertown location was fine. I was extremely annoyed that I had to pick up my car transport in Macungie, which required two Ubers to get my car to the same place as the transport. I only then learned that the Macungie office would hook up the transport, but not not secure my car to it. This resulted in my losing over four hours while waiting for someone to secure the vehicle. In spite of it all, Peggy was absolutely delightful and supportive. And this was after I had two moving help firms back out two days in a row, which cost me another day (and requiring that I radically alter my schedule for the remainder of the week). And when a third firm did show up to load the truck, they took over two hours and I had to pay $180 for an extra hour. I will never use the Moving helpers again, and will seriously consider using a different company for my next move. I've never had this wretched experience with Uhaul.

I reserved a 15' truck for Allentown pickup. When I visited my storage facility the day before I inquired about my reservation. She found it but told me the closest 15' truck was 40 miles away. She found me a 10' truck 10 miles away. What if I didn't ask the day before and drove 50 miles from Jersey only to find no truck waiting? Your system sucks.

Terrible experience. They had no idea what to do here and it took about 1 hour to do the rental. I have rented many times from Uhaul and this by far was the worse experience. I also feel that I was priced gauged as I had rented a 6x12 trailer a few weeks back going from Florida to Pennsylvania and it was $600. Now renting from Pennsylvania gouge to Georgia a couple weeks later it was $1300. WHY double the price. If I would have had any other choice I would not have rented from Uhaul and will be looking at competition in future moves.

Asked me to initial that the truck was clean and in order prior to me seeing the truck. I paid for 24 moving blankets/pads, they only had 10. They claimed they couldn't update or change my order and I had to call Uhaul to have this fixed. I later learned this wasn't true. The person at the register also suggested that using the the Uhaul website to set up a rental wasn't the right way to get a Uhaul, which is preposterous.

My reservation was for 8:00. The location did not open until 8:05 and then we had to wait 15 minutes for them to “open” up before we could begin the transaction to get the truck. Other than that it went well.

Unfortunately my overall experience with u-haul this time was horrible and incredibly stressful. The size/pickup location of my truck changed like 3 times and then when I went to the location to get the truck the keys had never been left for me so I had to call customer service and they had to find me another location. Overall I feel like it was a much more stressful process than it should have been. I do have to say that the customer service lady who helped me was amazing and she did everything she could to try and help me and she even explained to the guy at the place I ended up getting it from the difficult time I had been having with this and he was super nice.

the area with the trailers is not very wide. when you back up to the trailer your car is almost blocking the driveway

The facility staff was excellent. The equipment arrived late due to the previous renter who was quite "messy". The staff offered alternative equipment. When I declined, they quick mobilized to give it a quick cleaning. They made the best of an unfortunate circumstance.

My experience was absolutely awful. I will never use uhaul again. As I went to pick up my truck, I was told because the person before me was LATE- I was not going to get a truck AT ALL. A representative then told me if I wanted a truck i would have to drive 50 miles. Luckily, the person with the truck ended up showing up- but the representative CANCELED my reservation ! It was one disaster after the next and an absolute headache.

When I Is got my equipment I told them I only needed the Is Dolly for 2 days his aims they told me to return the Dolly to that store Is so that I would not get charged During Is the whole rental agreement Is the whole rental agreement Is after returning the equipment to B and B furniture outlet I was told that the Dolly was still on my agreement And I was charged for the whole duration of my agreement with the Dolly and Is to this point I was still unable to get a refund for having that Dolly only 2 days

After UHaul hung me out to dry by switching my pick-up location in a crime ridden hell hole on Susquehanna St in Allentown, this location was an immeasurable help. The location that I was sent to previously was closed, the truck was filthy, and UHaul literally offered no help. The team at Hellertown Hardwarewere amazingly helpful. I would work with the team in Hellertown again, but I may never rent another UHaul truck, opting instead for Penske, Ryder, Home Depot, Lowes or simply a car rental agency.

I had originally reserved a 20 foot truck at location in the town I was moving from. A few hours later I got a text that I was downgraded Not only was the size dropped to a 15 foot truck, they changed the pick up location to one 8-10 miles in the opposite direction from the address I was moving from and much farther than where I was moving to With mileage being charged, it nearly doubled that charge I will not only never recommend uhaul, I will let everyone I know how much of a scam you have pulled.

The gentlemen that checked us out was beyond rude. He was short and very Cort with us until I finally mentioned to him that he could be nicer and he had a negative attitude. He did apologize briefly at the end but there was no reason for him to be rude. The truck was overall in great shape. However interior could Have been cleaned. There was a used mask in the drivers side door compartment. It was disgusting. The truck should Have been wiped down and disinfected

Everyone I dealt with was extremely rude. I called both Uhaul customer service as well as the location. I rented a 10ft truck but was not aware that it did not have a ramp. No one was willing to try to help us with locating a new truck or possibly even compensating us. It did not state that the truck did not have one on the site. Now we have to rent a new truck and spend even more money for only an hour of time.

You encourage people to use the app, but all the photos and the long wait for verification make it more cumbersome and time consuming than in person method. My biggest problem was how long I waited for the information to be verified. This at least should be an easy fix.

I really liked the online cellphone registration and setup. It could be awesome. BUT, i felt like I was moving through the process a bit blind. I came to a lot of stalls that did not clearly specify the problem right away. And I never knew what information I would be required to provide, until the exact moment that i needed it. I think that a previrw of the steps ahead, would help. Also, I.think that it would help if a list of the information I should have on hand, was provided from the very beginning. This way, a customer could sit down, have everything they need, right next to them AND have a little roadmap of what they will need to do with what information is needed. It will streamline your process quite a bit. And customers will LOVE the simplicity.

The registration document was not in the vehicle, and therefore we could not use the vehicle to tow a trailer to the landfill, one of our primary reasons for renting the vehicle. When we have rented U-Haul vehicles in the past, the registration has always been in the gloce box. We were on a very tight schedule and the absence of the registration document was extremely inconvenient, costing us time and forcing us to hire an outside company to haul the items to the landfill.

Didn't even let me know I was missing the pin for my hitch. It could have been a disaster had the trailer come off. Especially with my daughter and wife in the car this is unacceptable. The guy had his granddaughter helping him assemble it as well. Unless she worked for the company, this is ridiculous. Very small town attitude and I'm glad I didn't tip them. Luckily I avoided the mountains on my trip. But if I hadn't who knows the catastrophic possibilities?

We were late with our drop off, so I called the store and they were very flexible and told me not to worry since the truck wasn't due out until the next morning. There was a small issue as they charged me extra temporarily as the person in the next morning didn't know I had spoken with the person in yesterday and had permission to have the truck. But when I explained what happened to her she was wonderful and immediately requested the charges be reversed. I couldn't be more pleased with them the customer service was excellent! 

The location and Time was changed late friday and I did not find out until 8am on Saturday. Reservation was made for 830am and changed by Uhaul to 1pm at an entirely different location. Cost me more miles and lost help because of the later time. Overall experience was horrible. I will never rent again from Uhaul!!
