i called another UHaul . They sent me to this place. Even after confirming my order I wasn't sure that they would have the size truck I needed. I felt like I was being rushed off of the phone. Handling business from the little shack with the gas pumps was not easy.

Because this was a gas station, I had to wait every time another customer came to the window. Not an overall good experience. Nothing wrong with the truck except it was too small even after following their recommendations. They automatically charged us for two days when we only needed one citing some excuse about it being a one way rental. They would not reimburse for the 1/2 tank over gas we left even though they were going to charge $4/gallon if we had been under and there is no way to know how much gas you are going to need. Not happy. Seems like they are taking advantage of people in a situtation. For reference, we went 116 miles on a little over 1/4 tank of gas with a 10 ft. truck.

Owner of this uhaul/gas station is rude. He doesn't seem to understand basic customer service. Nor does he want to check in your vehicle. Spent too much time here as we both had to call uhaul even after my rental had been closed. He wouldn't allow me to leave.

He had no record of the order, probably because the origination point was having issues with computer. I had to call some number and she took my credit card one more time. He still could not pull up order. The lady on the number had to call him. Not his fault. Technology is great when it works, which it didn't in this case.

Drop off owner was a foreigner, first told me "there was no room", AND i COULDN'T DROP OFF THERE.Really ??? There was a whole parking lot EMPTY. AGAIN I'M SEVERELY INCENSED WITH U HAUL AND ITS SUPERFLUOUS BULLSHIT !!!. Your company is SORRY, and I'm contacting the BBB about the way your business is conducted. Maybe go to China or Mexico, where you'd better fir in. SAD, VERY SAD

I rented a Tow dolly and the right tire is low on air. I aired it up but the following day pressure is low again. Could be the previous person who rented it did not report it. I've done my part reported when I returned it at another station.

The business hours posted are 6:00am-4:00pm but the employee says they don’t open until 8:00am. This caused me to be late for my 7:00am appointment time to pick up my load I was hauling. My Uhaul pick up time was scheduled for 6:00am. I had to wait for the attendant to check in then wait while he said his morning prayers. I wasn’t given any paperwork to carry w/me while renting. I received a rental agreement via email upon returning my rental the next day around 0715hrs. I’m glad the Police didn’t stop me & ask to see my rental agreement while I was hauling that 6x12 trailer. I didn’t have any rental proof due to this. What a big problem that would’ve been. If you say open at 6:00am for pickup then 6am the attendant should be ready for customers to conduct business. Not after we wait for him to open everything up & then make his prayers. This should be done prior to the 6:00am “POSTED” opening time. I have nothing against anybody’s prayers, but, customers shouldn’t have to wait for employees to conduct their morning prayers during business transactions.

The gentleman who runs the Gulf station is very nice, but his "office" is a closet-sized, overheated booth in which he simultaneously deals with the gas customers. He does his best, but a tough situation. The truck itself was great, but had not been swept out. I had requested 3 dozen furniture pads, but only 11 were actually available. Nevertheless, I appreciate U-Haul!

I am not very happy with uhaul at this point. You can look at my history with Uhaul and I have rented from Uhaul 7 or 8 times in the past. I rented a auto transport on 5/23 l, had the transport for a couple of hours and realized it would not work with the vehicle that I was towing it with. I returned the auto transport and was trying to exchange it for a car dolly a week later. I was told a manager was going to call me back and still have not received a call. I was sent a $25 coupon which I tried to use when I rented the car dolly on 5/31 which also did not work when I tried to use the coupon. So on 5/23 I rented a auto transport for $123 dollar and then rented a $100 car dolly a week later and all I was really look for was an even exchange, I was not even looking for money back. I guess my concern was addressed with the $25 coupon that uhaul sent me that didn’t even work!!!!!

My rental experience with Uhaul on May 19 for the pick-up in Seaford, Delaware was completely and totally disrespectful. The Uhaul brand is severely tarnished by associating with the Gulf gas station where I was required to pick up the 5x8 trailer for my rental -- both in terms of the abysmal quality of the location and utter lack of customer Since the Uhaul rental was not a priority to the gas station attendant, I was pushed to the side a total of 8 times for the attendant to wait on other people rather than processing my order. Although I had completed all of the required documentation and payment for the trailer online, the gas station was utterly unprepared for validation of documentation for the rental. I was forced to write my personal information (including name, cell #... and personal contact information for my sister in Iowa?!) on a piece of paper that was randomly passed back and forth to the attendant in an enclosed booth - which has never been part of the process for renting a Uhaul vehicle or trailer in my prior experiences. He also held on to my drivers license for an extended period while waiting on the gas station customers. The process took approximately 45 minutes to process the pre-existing reservation. Upon finally completing the paperwork for the trailer, the gas station attendant just pointed the trailer to me and walked away. I was offered absolutely zero help or direction in how to attach the trailer (and I was there alone for the pick-up). Thankfully on prior Uhaul trailer rentals other franchises and Uhaul store workers had confirmed my tow hitch capability and advised me on the process for connecting the trailer. Association with this specific gas station franchise site is doing serious damage to the Uhaul brand. Between the lack of inventory management, misrepresentation of the pick-up locations offered on the website, and utterly unprofessional customer service both at this pick-up location and when calling customer service, I personally will not be renting with Uhaul ever again in the future.
