I was not well informal on how the process was going to work, when I went to pick up the van. It was a self-service which I had no ideal and had never done before!!! When I called custom service which was a long hold and all they said " I should have or had done well if I had known!!! A very BAD experience. I subject it would have been nice to have all this information on the front end and not have to stand in the HOT Sun trying to figure it out.
MIKE A.As part of the after hours pickup process, I would recommend to add the steps to turn on location services. I needed to call the help number to get this done and they were very helpful. The only cleaning item is that the interior windshield needed to be cleaned. We drove into the setting sun with a haze because of the dirty interior windshield.

I had to sit on hold for an hour with uhaul and the location because uhauls site was not working properly. This set me back an hour and i was on a time constraint. This process was supposed to be easy and effortless, instead it was frustrating and took way too long.

MAURICE C.Please make sure trucks are clean. Mine was dirty inside and out. Floor of cargo area and hand truck had oil on them. Need a process to double check that all items rented are ready for pickup. I rented 12 furniture pads but only received 1. This was the first time I used the app to check-in and pickup/return the truck. Worked well and I will use it again

Shannon L.The online check-in experience was a cluster. Before I left the house I uploaded my ID, both front and back. When I arrived to pick up the van, my ID was not on file and I had to re-upload both images. The uhaul website informed me that the key to my van was in the upper box and gave me a code to retrieve the key. The code did not work for the upper box. Luckily there was an attendant on site who provided me with the correct code to retrieve my key from the LOWER box. This was very frustrating and should not have been an issue. If uhaul is going to continue to allow customers to pick up/drop off online, I would recommend streamlining the process before continuing this procedure. The whole process was fragmented and took as much time, if not longer, than the original booking process (which was supposed to save time). The van was clean and the on site attendant was very helpful, but the whole process of booking online and retrieving the key was lackluster. I will hope for a better experience in the future.

Also, I got there for my 10:30 RESERVATION but the truck was being used by someone else and wasn't there!! The nice guy behind the counter told me that guy was scheduled to bring it back at 11. Why would there be an over lap in RESERVATIONS??? That's ridiculous, I was pissed off about that and lost time in my day to pack up my home. Unexcusable
