I was very disappointed to learn that there is no way to compensate a customer for adding "too" much gas to the truck. The truck came with a 1/4 of a tank and therefore forces you to put gas in before starting your trip. It's a guess at that point how much gas the truck will use. Unfortunately, the truck used less than anticipated and I was told there is no way to reimburse for any of the used gas. At 4,50 $ a gallon, they got about 25,00 $ in gas from me. Should be a simple compensation back to the customer.THERESA B.

My worse experience ever with U-Haul I chose to use the truck share 24/7, which is an online check in. I arrived at the location around 10:40for a11:00pm pickup. What was supposed to be a easy and quick check in lasted until 11:45pm. It's a long and lengthy procedure. The truck was a older vehicle with lots of wear and tear of and upon the vehicle inspection, you're only allowed a certain amount of photos. When returning the vehicle, the male who was on duty, first statement was" is everything okay, did you tear or break-up anything? Once he completed his visual inspection, he complained of the fuel being short. The was refueled back to where it was when purchased. Not until a request to see a copy of the original did he realize that the fuel level was more than he calculated but because he was being obnoxious, we rwe put more fuel. While waiting for the truck to return from the fuel station,he spoke well with others, offered water but never acknowledge me. I perceived that gesture as very negative and racist. I will not use that their service anymore and I feel U-Haul, a very reputable company should not have someone of that nature representing their customers.Brenda B.

This old truck has almost 200 000 miles on it with no air conditioning! We are in Southern California during a heat wave. This truck would not go faster than 55 miles per hours and was beat up everywhere. The inside was slippery. We had to mop it twice just so we didn't break a leg (myself and husband both slipped and fell down hard on our knees). The representative charged us for 24 packs of blankets and gave us the incorrect dolly. She didn't even ask if we wanted "insurance" and when we asked she said I don't know. We showed her the dents in the truck and she said to just use their application which I understand but my phone was dead and I informed her that. She said to just use it when my phone charges I had to drive 53 miles out of our way, pay for the gas and then drive back to our home (106 miles round trip). I had to have someone follow me and pay for their gas to take me back home (53 miles away). When we returned the truck we were charged for returning the incorrect dolly and missing 2 blankets (clearly someone does not know how to count). We were also charged an "AFTER HOURS" return of 20,00 $. This was not even the location I was able to return to (all of their other locations were full and could not take the UHAUL). This company CLEARLY only cares about the bottom dollar and that is their pocketbook. I am highly unhappy with this company.JULIE S.

I felt it was costly. I feel if your replenishing the gas and paying for the rental you shouldn't be charged per mile. I couldn't even include the insurance. I purchased appliances in Rancho half hour drive and cost me almost a 100 $. I think you would get more business with a cheaper charge rate. People look for someone with a truck to help them instead. The representatives were very careless far as the issues at hand. They gave me a van and the gas hand was below E. I told them that I was afraid that it wouldn't make it to the gas station. They assured me it would. I have never been given a vehicle of any kind from Uhaul in all my years of dealing with the company with the gas hand on E. Anyhow, I get to the gas station down the street and as I'm pumping gas, it is spraying out from under the van. I took the van right back and they gave me another one but they just showed no concern about the fact that I was just put in a life threatening situation. Truck had a lot of damage and required a time consuming walkthru as to prevent being blamed for the damage upon return, good scope but too overkill. Front windshield filthy unsafe. I called store twice for being charged on the blankets. I did not use those blankets. When I used the dolly the seal from the blankets came off, the bag zipper did not work either and blankets were falling out. I called twice left 2 messages regarding the dispute of charges & never got a call back.Robert F.

Very helpful customer service. I rented a smaller truck thinking they all had ramps. The guy there let me rent another one with no additional charges for bringing the original back, he just charged me the price of the new truck. In fact, they did not have the next size up so he gave me an even larger one for the price of the smallest one with a ramp.Sean D.

Was charged almost 200 $for pre-existing scratches that were on the vehicle. Guy was trying to charge me for furniture pads that I had already paid for. Made smart-ass remarks about how we should've purchased the insurance that it's our fault because we didn't purchase any. Worst Customer service help from the younger guy was very rude and HORRIBLE attitude. Called 1800 uhaul to check for any carports in my area. Sent me to this one. He said I was late and cancelled my contract... Charged 50 $. I didn't cancel. . I didnt know why he had such a bad attitude. But, he would answer any of my questions. Keep poking at the brochure and instructed me to go on youtube because it's not his job to know how. He gave me a trailer that wasnt ready for road Transportation and the tie down lock wouldnt stay locked down on my tires. I called inroad and they advised me to drop at nearest location... I followed instructions.. Recieved another bill for 355 for drop at different location. Then another 250,00 $ for late fees. I had the trailer less than 6hours... and the rain was really bad that night and I almost lost my car with that carport. Yes... I'm inexperienced. But he said it was a good one... No Bueno!Chana B.

I did not get my trailer when I wanted it or where I wanted to pick it up, even though I reserved it 14 days earlier. This interfered with all my travel plans. The people and equipment were good the overall customer service end (scheduling dept.) was terrible. My inconvenience of a late start and 34 mile round trip to pick up the trailer left me speechless. No discount was offered, just a bad feeling about trusting the scheduling process again. I will be telling my friends and family about this experience. Again Bloomington and Clovis were great, just the scheduling dept. stinks and cant be trusted.Geoffrey O.

The location was great. Very friendly staff and vehicles were in good shape. I am however extremely upset at being double charged on everything for being just half an hour late. This is clearly not the fault of the location but of Uhaul in general and I'm going to avoid the service and let others know how absurdly stringent their policies are.Cameron M.
Actually I was the first truck rental on this new location. Their was a bump that wasn't their fault. They took right over as soon as opened and all was well. Ryan, Dallas and Jeff- Uhaul all went out of way to be helpful. A great team to work with.Cathryn G.
