Mark GuariscoIt was very upsetting that the tenants where not made aware of the rodent infestation when it happened to be able to make needed arrangements for their belongings. I was not notified until I came to rent a U-Haul and move out. There was damage to a mounted deer head, handmade dream catcher, and not to mention everything from cloth furniture to clothes and other items had to be cleaned which endured a cost because of rodent feces and urine. The only solution we were given was be reimbursed 1 month's rental fees. You can be assured that did not cover the cost of the loss of the mounted deer head much less the cost to clean and wash all the furniture, clothes and etc. I was very disappointed at the handling of a situation that another tenant created, but we had to pay the price for.

When he came back I was not given any choice on how to pay, nor was I given any amount of how much my bill was, nor a receipt. Forest DouglasI reserved a 15' truck recently and decided to use the 24/7 process to ensure the seamless checkout service that was encouraged with your online process. On pickup day, I arrived at the location at my scheduled time (9am) and opened the app to check-in. Needless to say, the app told me "Looks like a piece of equipment has not been assigned for this reservation." and that I would have to check with the on-site operator. At this point there were 2 customers inside already and by the time they finished it was an hour after my pickup time (10am). I was very frustrated because I already hired 2 guys for 3 hours each at $20/hr each to help me move my furniture . Now I've just lost an hour and I had to pay each of these guys for a wasted hour. The part that was most disappointing was the inefficient computer system along with poor human communication between service desk and operators. There were at least 4-6 different transactions with person to person communication problems while I was sitting there. Just unbelievable. U-Haul must address this quickly in order to maintain a moderate reputation at the least. At this point, I will not use your services until drastic changes have been made. Lastly, the gentleman who was dealing with all of there problems said he was filling in for the regular person but I must say that none these issues were his fault. In fact, he was calm and trying his best to make light of the dreadful situation. My experience was indeed horrible and left a bad taste in my mouth unfortunately. Regrettably, JP

I spoke with the facility Manager in person on Sat 8/28 regarding anticipated move-out as hurricane Ida was scheduled to make landfall that evening. I was told that I had a 5 day grace period to evacuate the unit. I call the facility AND the corporate customer service line on Mon 8/30. I was reassured by the site manager and by the corporate customer service agent of the 5 day grace period. When I went to evacuate the unit, I was told by the manager that he had been mistaken regarding the 5 days and that he couldn't move me out with a 'balance due'. I called the corporate customer service line again after leaving the facility. After being given the run-around and a bogus CORPORATE phone number, I was placed on hold for over an hour and finally hung up on. For future storage needs, I will DEFINITELY take my business elsewhere and encourage all of my family, friends, and colleagues to do the same.
