I was unable to return the item myself because of "500 internal server message error" using the app. Using the website it couldn't get my location even with location services on and allowing the website to get location. I had returned the item at 815pm the night before it was due and was unable to return the item using either app or website. Both items need user experience improvement.CHAD O.

I was giving a price of about 93 I was told if I take the insurance and if I didn't use all 4 days some of the insurance I payed for would be refunded I use the dolly for one day and I payed for 4 days worth I was told the three remaining days would be refunded So iam unable referred any one to u-Hauljohn K.
No customer service. Door was locked during regular business hours and we had to walk around the back to find someone to help us. The vehicle was filthy dirty in the cab and owner left us during inspection for us to fend for ourselves. I was glad I had rented before and knew the process or it would have cost me in the end. It was impossible to complete the self return with my phone even though I followed the instructions. So Monday morning uhaul was calling us while we were at work wanting to know where the truck was. Other than that it was a very good experience.ROGER H.
We ordered a dolly and it was not included or available, which was disappointing. No one told us it wasn't in the truck and we had been counting on it. We also had trouble with getting the app to work in order to even get the truck. After waiting almost an hr, customer service was able to help us through the app glitches. Thankfully, Uhaul reimbursed me for the dolly after I requested it.Jesse H.
Small location at a garage. Only owner was able to check me out and he was using his mobile phone. This process was very slow and had to be done twice. Total checkout time was 45 minutes too long! I reserved (3) sets of moving pads-he only had (8) pads to give me, blah, blah, blah, â€œregional shortage-COVID-19â€. Total UNSAT! Checkin in was worse. Attendant said use the U-Haul.com website to check in. Your website check in is designed by idiots. Attendant told me to drop key in the lockbox then check myself in-guess what? I needed the keys to take (4) different photos and literally become one of your employees, doing their job for the same price. I have concern about your virtual check in process. First the connectivity is poor at it freezes and will not let you finish entering info, say timed out and start again. Are is the customer supposed to secure rented dollies, pads, etc. if you don't lock the cargo area and come back anyway to finalized the bill. Although they provide UHAUL service, its not really there primary businesss as the hours and response to questions I had.Ralph M.

The 24/7 pick up process was cumbersome. I previously uploaded my license but had to do it again. After 5-10 mins of waiting approval, I had to go to online chat to get someone to review my request. The truck pics displayed were from the previous customer who had a trailer and a full cargo load and was asked to verify this was current condition. I had to retake and submit those pics. The entire process took over 20 mins and should have taken far less. I was told the link would not be active till designated pickup time so arriving early would not be beneficial. Check in process was easy. Uhaul asks you to agree with all terms and conditions of contract during pickup. The contract must be 7-10 pages long. To review this entire agreement during pickup is unreasonable. Why not send this document at time of reservation. Notices on the truck say refer to the agreement to determine amount of fuel needed to fill tank to same level as pickup. Why not post a chart inside the truck for easy reference.Mo Y.

The UHaul website is broken using the vehicle trailering menu. It won't let you select a saved vehicle or when you put "add new vehicle" give you menu to input vehicles. I had to be logged out of my account to set up the towing and towed vehicle. Also, the credit car processing system was non-operational. These do not reflect on the location but on UHaul's corporate site. It is not user friendly. I did not try the App for reservation so I have no comments for it. However, the app worked great for returning the equipment.CHAD O.

I had to go to 2 different places to get the car dolly. The first place I was contracted to had one but it was broke down and had been for several weeks but your computer system showed it was serviceable but it wasn't. I was then sent to Shawn's where he had 3. Shawn's was fine. But I cant say much for U HAUL corp. 50 $Guarantee of having the equipment .harold S.

Unable to drop off as scheduled due to poor employee attitude and lot maintenance. After involving another employee still had issues with dropping off vehicle due to poor resource management of lot."too full" manager final allowed us to drop off vehicle. Complaint filed with Customer Service and local Field Service Manager- awaiting response. WILL NOT USE OR RECCOMENDS this facility Shawn's Auto Shack . It took over an hour to pick up a tow dolly. We put everything online, and still had to repeat almost everything to the owner. Then trying to check the dolly back after hours was very confusing I finally called the 800# for help. Not very happy, need more work on the online checkingJon G.
Even though I used the on line app to fill out information ahead of time for the rental. It took a very long time to actually rent the truck. It may be due to training a new person but speed to rent was not a highlight. Everyone was pleasant but speed was not a top priority.Scotty S.

The only problem I had was logging in to finish our our return of the van. the message went to fast and we were unable to go through all the steps to log in the return of the van. I was very frustrating and we were unable to complete what was requested. I hope we will not be charged an extra day because of it.Gailynn W.
This location was at a cycle and possibly car shop and the people were working out back so it is hard to get their attention. Also there's really no waiting room or place where you can walk up to an employee in the front part of the building. Everybody was very kind and helpful however.SUEANN A.

4 times I have rented a tow dolly from Uhaul, twice I have had issues with the lights. Your'e lucky you're the only people that rent tow dollies. I am looking to buy one because I know how to maintain a trailerJohn D.

I was pretty happy with the experience. I had some issues with being overcharged initially when I returned the rental which required some back and forth with Uhaul, but they worked with me. The only reason I would halfheartedly recommend the location to a friend was because customer service was unreliable. That only matters because one of the service members was fantastic and did an awesome job and another....not so much. I really respect when someone else respects my time and right now at the location... there is like a %60 chance that will happen.Brian S.

My bill looks crazy. No one checked the mileage before I got in or when I got out. No truck inspection. Very sketchy. We took it a total of 30 miles. I'm very disappointed with the poor communication and will never rent a UHAUL again because the experience was so terrible.Megan M.

Business opened 30 minutes late and the Uhaul rep was 45 minutes late. The office was very dirty and disorganized, ex - papers every where, trash not take out, trash can had ants crawling all over it and in line to the wall.Andrew B.

The attendant was not the person to assist with removal of the trailer from the hitch. This was not her fault as she was able to check the equipment in adequately. There was no cinder block available to place the hitch so the next person will have to lift the hitch off of the ground onto the receiving end of the truck.Valley N.
I showed up to pick up my uhaul trailer and appliance dolly. There was one man sitting at the desk who was checking out another man who was there to rent a truck. I asked if I could get hooked up to the trailer while I was waiting and he said yes. I went back to hook up to the trailer and it literally took about 15-20 minutes to get the tongue off the ground and secured to my van. I am a 5 ft 3 in 150 lb woman who showed up with one of my five daughters to rent a 12 ft enclosed trailer. I have driven many trailers, but have never had to hook myself up to one so heavy and hard to maneuver. The guy working there finished what he was doing and came outside to ask for my drivers license and credit card. Not to ask if i needed help. To get my credit card. Mind you, I reserved and paid for the trailer online. I stopped what i was doing and got my cards for him and he turned around and went inside. After i got hooked up i drive to the front door and went inside. I told him the rubber securing pieces on the chains were weather rotted and asked if he had any more. He said he didnt know bc he doesnt work there. He said he is the only one there and he is just an accountant. He called to ask anyone. He never tried to look for any. He never came out to check the equipment or make sure it was hooked up properly and check my lights. He slid my card and gave them back to me, then he handed my some trailer packing instructions and my contract. He went to the garage and got the dolly for me, brought it back up to the office and handed it to me, told me noone would be at the office again until Tuesday because of the holiday so not to worry about bringing it back on time. He opened the front door for me to push the dolly out. After I walked out the door he shut it behind me and locked it. He didnt come outside to help get the dolly, which was also super heavy, into the trailer or even give me any forms to state the condition of the trailer when i picked it up. Even my 6 year old daughter heard the door lock and looked up at me and said "rude". He was right about noone being there at the office when I got back though. I took the trailer back on time and had to struggle once again to get thing off my van by myself. Rediculous! I will never rent from them again!Amber O.

There was another trailer positioned in front of the trailer that I had reserved; I had to reposition items in order to gain access to my trailer. Member did not know how to shorten the safety chain by twisting it so I had to complete this.William H.
Staff very friendly, attempted to be helpful. Some confusion in operating U-Haul computer system resulted in us having to make several trips to location to return equipment and pay additional charges. This was inconvenient, do wish to emphasize friendliness of staff.William B.
A reservation was made around 8 am to be picked up at 4 pm, I then received a call asking if I actually needed the specific trailer I had reserved, because there was a other person theresponsible that needed the same trailer. I told them yes, that I needed it. I then received another call saying they had gone ahead a rented the trailer I reserved out. Essentially, renting it out from underneath me. Forcing me to have to go to another location to find the same size trailer and equipment I had already previously reserved. This put me at an inconvenience and not knowing if I was going to be able to find the same trailer elsewhere. I am in the middle of a military PCS (permanent change of station) and have to clear my house by tomorrow at 10 am. Luckily I was able to find what I needed from a different location, however; the customer service at the original location was lacking in a major way. I don't know if it is normal to rent a trailer to someone other than who had reserved it, but this is exactly what happened. I'm very unhappy with my experience with this uhaul location and will not recommend anyway to it.Alec F.

Better training for the person at this location. The woman was not sure what to do at certain parts and almost cost me 60 $more than I should have been charged. It also took her 20+ min to complete the transaction before I could drive the truck off the site. The woman (Shirley?) in Bluewater Bay location (whom I returned the truck to) was able to fix the issue and save me the money. She is great and I would go back to her again.nick P.
