the gas tank was empty there was no lock for the uhaul, and the location was switched on me last minute from Stockton to Tracy so I had to pay for a ride and extra gas and no discount was offered or any kind of consolation reallyALIHAIDER T.

Visually check the trailer wiring pigtail for exposed wires. Once there's moisture on those areas of the wiring, the lights tend to malfunction but will return to normal operation when dry.RAYMOND Y.

Attendant was very nice but I can't ignore the fact that paraphernalia was found upon driving away. A pipe which looked as though you'd smoke crack cocaine through it was found and discarded. Very unhappy with my experience. Wont use uhauls again.JASON E.

The service was excellent at the Shell I-5, but the confirmation email gave me another location 647 E Miner St. When I arrived at Miner Market, the clerk told me he did not have a truck for me. I then went to the U-haul on Tam O'Shanter-the clerk there told me I had a truck waiting for at the Shell I-5 location. I should be compensated for this miscommunication, my time and gas wasted driving all over town.Frankie J.
5 star service. Steve checked me in and put the trailer on my truck. I was amazed by Steve's professionalism and also making it a friendly experience. We were supposed to pick up the truck contactless and the site did not do the drop box. We had to wait an hour to get the truck which delayed our move and we also rented an appliance dolly but they did not have one at that location. I had to go all the way across town to the Uhaul center to rent one. It was a terrible experience.Tracey V.

I made a reservation for Tracy, CA. Called to say I was running 10 minutes late and saw my reservation changed to Stockton, CA (an hour drive away). No call to let me know. I went to Stockton to get the truck and appliance dolly. My email said both are guaranteed for me. I get there and no appliance dolly's are available. But 2 are on display and can't be rented out. So the guarantee is not really a guarantee. I had to drive an extra 20 minutes, and pay for additional miles that I had not planned for, to rent a dolly from Home Depot. All of this made the rest of my move late and horrible as many workers were waiting on me. I called the UHaul location in Manteca (dispatcher?). Her name is Heidi. She tried to tell me things aren't really guaranteed and not really 100 % reserved because things could not be there. So if you email me and say a truck and dolly are guaranteed, what does that mean? The dolly was not there yet 2 were on display that the manager said he could not rent out because then people would think there were no dolly's available. Yet no dolly's were available. How to improve? Don't say things are guaranteed. Instead say â€œtrucks and items might be there or might not. It's up to you to drive all over the place and cross your fingers that it will be there. And plan many hours ahead since we don't guarantee that our items will be there.â€Jeremy C.

I was called the day before my reserved pick up date and was told I needed to pick up my truck that's was 20 miles further than my original location which means I had to drive 60 miles to get the truck. When I got there I had reserved a utility dolley and they did not have one. The agreement said the truck had a half tank of gas and when I got in the truck it only had a quarter tank. The service was just what I needed. I did not have a long wait time to get the rental complete. Had no problem with the equipment. The service was exceptional. Steve is a scholar and a gentleman. Tatyana was so helpful to my mother and I when we picked up and when we returned the rental. Very nice individuals to come in contact with in this busy world. What I really liked was the location suited my situation. I take my hat off the UHAUL for having such individuals in their business. I just went through the roll-a-dex of my mind. I do not ever remember having any problems with UHAUL personnel. you must have some really good quality application screening. Bless you. Cause you really Blessed me and my family. we had to hall some stuff after my mom's home was vandalized, burglarized and put on fire twice. But God is still in the Blessing Business. My overall experience with uhaul was HORRIBLE and I will NEVER use uhaul again. I called customer service at least 4 times and was either hung up on or continually transferred and ultimately hung up on. They changed the location for pick up less than 24 hours before I needed to moved- I had to drive 30 miles out of my way to the new place that had the uhaul I requested. It was in the ghetto!! They did NOT have the dolly and rollers I ordered and anticipated using, leaving me in the lurch. The uhaul was dirty and the back was full of gas. First time I had to do was get gas because it was on empty. The worker I hired through uhaul NEVER SHOWED UP. And I've gotten the run around on how to get a refund on that transaction. I'm not one to leave reviews or even complain, so that tells you how upsetting this experience was. Made a stressful day 100 % more stressful. I will NEVER recommend uhaul to anybody ever again and I will make sure I tell anybody who asks about this AWFUL service.Jay B.

I ordered the truck is supposed to be in Modesto after I pay for it and it was supposed to be all done it made you pick up the U-Haul truck that was supposed to be in Modesto maybe pick it up in Stockton so I had to pay a bunch of extra money for mileage that was totally unnecessary and on top of it all they were trying to charge me for a dolly and moving blankets that I never purchased and was not in the truck so it took me a bunch of time to get that sorted out they wanted me to pay for the dolly and moving blankets anyway even though I did not get any or even order them would not recommend ordering anything on the U-Haul site you're better off going in in person or using another moving company was not happy cost me way more than it should have cost me dairy bad experience I would not recommend it to anybody elseDaniel S.

At first I was upset, because I was told they could not accept cash. I only had cash from my savings account. Second I was lucky I had a cellphone to take the required photos of my Driver's license. When ordering the truck, I was not informed by the sales Rep (back east location) that I would need to know this info.Richard E.

Reservation made in Manteca was confirmed then changed to pick up truck in Stockton. Had 1pm appt. Had to wait around until 2:30 because agent was not there and the station owner did not know check out procedures. The truck was dirty and had trash in it when I picked it up. Had to return to Uhaul, a 20 mile drive back because of mistakes made at check out. I had my disabled child with me during this extremely stressful experience. I would NEVER recommend this Uhaul facility to anyone. VERY STRESSFUL !!!!Elizabeth R.

The mileage was off, as told, prior to leaving I went back and told the rep and she wrote it on my paper and initialed it. When I returned it I asked the rep if she had corrected it in the computer and provided my paperwork. He said nothing but after reading the reciept I see neither rep cared and I was charged for the erroneous mileage.CHANTAE J.

Called the Manteca's location and asked if they had a car trailer in stock got no answer he just started asking me questions. Told him I was going to be there in half hour he ok Then got a call from a lady telling me I had to go to Stockton to pickup trailer. In general my reservation was a disaster. I was notified by uhaul that my reservation would only be able to be fulfilled at a location over 30 minutes from my home which I was already working with very little time...once I got the location they informed me that they did not have part of my reservation available, a dolly that was reserved almost 2 weeks prior. Needless to say it was a stressful moving experience that I hope to not relive. The staff at the location were very friendly and sympathetic about this and I have nothing but good things to say about them but overall very dissatisfied. Also, the trailer door itself was bent which made it extremely difficult to close and the bottom latch never fully latched.Jennifer P.
