Service is HORRIBLE! I got there to pick up a trailer, there was only one employee he saw me pull up yet he kept walking around on his phone so I gave him some time because I thought he was busy with a customer on the phone however; 10 mins passed and I could here him just chatting and joking on the phone appeared to be talking to a friend. I decided to approach him, he was very rude and said he was busy that he would help me out as soon as he was done. Another 10-14 mins passed and he decided he could help, told him was there to pick up a trailer.. he just told me to back up near the trailer. As he was attaching the trailer to my truck he kept on bitching & and say bad words that (this fuckin stupid holes on my truck were too small) so I approached him and asked if he needed help as I didn't want any damage to my truck.. he rudely said if you know how to do it the. You go ahead and do it yourself.. so I did, I hat to do it myself… I honestly would of just left but I really needed this trailer to move some furniture.. Returning the trailer was the same ride employee! Had to unhitch the trailer myself! @ UHAUL do better! Please train your employees on better customer service!

ERIC PI picked up and dropped off at this site 3 times in the last few years. It has the WORST customer service and I would avoid doing any business with this site! The U-Haul site is located under an overpass, creepy deserted dirt lot, with an old trailer for an office. When I arrived I saw a young man sitting in a car eating. I asked if he worked for U-Haul and he abruptly told me yes, but he was on a lunch break, and I would have to wait until he was finished. 15 minutes later he walked to my truck, extremely unhappy, and asked if it was just me picking up the trailer. Explained that the trailer was in a difficult position to drive off the lot, it was heavy, and that I would need to get out and help push the trailer to reposition it. I told him that I didn't see the issue, just hook it to my truck and I could get it out of the lot. I nicely told him that I haul horse trailers 3 times the size of the one I was renting and it was not an issue. He was so frustrated, he kept telling me that I was going to get the trailer stuck and that he could not help if I did. Once it was hooked up, I asked if he could check the lights, turn signals and brakes. He stood behind for a second while the running lights were on and told me that was good enough, he didn't need to check the turn signals and brakes. Ok, that was comforting... Then it took just a few times turning and backing up, and I was able to easily pull the trailer out of a tight and awkward space. Why they parked the few trailers they had on top of each other in this big empty lot was puzzling. Unfortunately we underestimated how much furniture my daughter was moving, and realized a bigger box truck was needed. I called the U-Haul main line and was told to take the trailer back to the dreaded lot on Hazeltine for a refund. Once again the less than friendly young man was onsite, who is obviously miserable working at this job. He looked up, saw me pull back in with the trailer, and just sat in a truck pretending not to notice me for 10 minutes. When he finally walked over and I explained that we rented a bigger box truck, he abruptly told me that I would not get a refund because I could have used the trailer already. Which I had not, and I was returning the trailer within 24 hours and 3 days early. The not so happy young man said he would unhook the trailer then I was to leave, and call customer service for a refund. So while he was unhooking the trailer, I called the customer service line at U-Haul and asked how to get the refund. They told me that the dealer where I was dropping it off needed to send the information for a refund. While I had customer service on the phone, I told the unhappy young man what they said. He became angry, telling me that he does not issue refunds and I needed to call customer service to get any money back. Customer service listened to the whole conversation, and I really hope they recorded the conversation. There were some other customers uncomfortably witnessing this rude man. In the end I got in my truck, figuring we just lost $300, and started to drive out. The young man yelled at me, "Don't you want me to get you a refund?" I mean he just refused to do it! So he had me get out of my truck, walk into the tiny office trailer, and stand there awkwardly while he sat at the computer and typed away. This lasted several minutes, no words exchanged, the other customers also stood awkwardly in the trailer waiting. Then he looked up and told me I would have a refund in a few days. No paperwork, and of course it never happened. I seriously doubt we ever will see a refund. There are plenty of U-Haul drop off sites in the Sherman Oaks area, I highly recommend staying clear of the one on Hazeltine Ave!

MICHAEL DWhen I booked this truck rental on your website, I requested a furniture dolly, hand truck, and furniture pads. All was confirmed. When I arrived to pick up the truck, I was told that they didn't have any dollies nor furniture pads. No one contacted me and I have to drive to another location to pick up what I needed. This made me late for my move and I had to pay my workers overtime. Unacceptable customer service on U-Haul's part.

Diego EThis was the worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul. They did not have the 12 blankets I reserved, they did not have the hand dolly I reserved and an employee "Al Abrams" was aggressive and confrontational to all the customers waiting in the queue for their vehicles. I will not ever recommend this U-Haul location to anybody I know in the Los Angeles area and make sure it is avoided at all costs. This man, "Al", verbally attacked me and the customer in front of me. The bill I received still had the dolly and blankets listed on it. The lady who was working the computer and helping with the reservations was polite and charming but I will never come here again.

ROBERT RI reserved a truck 3 weeks prior to the pick up date. I checked prior to make sure no changes were needed and received confirmation from U-Haul about my reservation. I showed up to get the truck and they said no truck of the size I reserved was available. They said 2 trucks had been stolen. No one called me to let me know this had happened prior to my pick up so I could make other arrangements but while there, they called another renter to confirm their rental. Initially, the people offered to only take me home, no truck, but later offered a truck twice the size I reserved. I reserved a 15' and they only had a 26'. This was difficult for many reasons but I had to take the truck to complete a move. The truck also had only a small amount of gas that required me to put gas in before I could use it. In addition, U-Haul requires you to take a photo of you license on a mobile phone but their app didn't work. More time wasted trying to find a solution. Overall, I lost almost 2 hours of moving time because of this fiasco. No more renting from this location.

susan mI reserved moving blankets but they didn't have any. They also tried to charge me for fuel even though I had refilled it. Luckily I took pics and sent to Uhaul customer service so they refunded that charge.

Justin KCustomer service was terrible.. The guy that works there moves at a snails pace and isnt very helpful.. He does not seem to know how to do his job very well. We asked if they had moving blankets and he said he didn't know. We asked about a hand truck and he seemed to not know what that was. He ran the card without asking if we wanted to change cards and when we asked he said he had already ran the card on file and there was nothing he could do. When we came to return the truck, he was ASLEEP in one of the vans! Not impressed. Location is also rather sketchy. The truck had less gas to start with than was noted on the contract. Barely enough to make it to a gas station.. I would go elsewhere if you're able. It may well be a worth the extra few miles. One plus was that the truck was ready to go when we got there so that gets one star.

DAVID ROver the last few months I have rented 2 cargo Vans and one 15ft truck from 3 different locations, every vehicle I rented was filthy and had at least one light on (oil change needed, engine check light, etc). Years ago I had family who worked for the company and took pride in sending out clean and well maintained vehicles to the customers, service of these vehicles has been completely and utterly disappointing and unacceptable. The district managers should do some more visits to the authorized dealers and stores to improve this.

HEATHER OI love this U-Haul location everybody that works. There is amazing. It's my favorite place. We rent a truck at least once to twice a month I wouldn't go anywhere else. Quality of their trucks and vans are superb. Never had a problem with them.
