The gentleman who provided service when I picked up was great. Drop off not so much and a bit surprised by $95 in extra “ hidden charges” added on to my emailed invoice.. 🤦‍♂️

The customer service is great at this location. However they told me I couldn't rent the U-Haul without the 25$ added insurance and that it mandatory at this location. I've rented there many times and never encountered this before. He didn't even tell me until after he already swiped my card. Felt like I was being scammed.

Location did not have the dolly, furniture dolly and furniture pads we reserved 2 weeks in advance. We were told to drive this large truck around to other uhauls in hopes they had the items in stock, wasting miles and moving time. Instead of driving this big truck through Manhattan we bought a portable dolly from a hardware store, more reliable than uhaul. The man who worked for uhaul that gave us the keys was completely rude and unhelpful. He had his headphones in the entire time and it was as if we were bothering him or interrupting him. I am never using uhaul again. Absolutely ridiculous. I am waiting to hear from uhaul to receive money back on the dolly's and furniture pads.

I reserved a dolly for my move, along with a truck. When picking up the truck, I noticed it didn't have a dolly. I asked the manager where the dolly was and he said he didn't have one. Due to the lack of not having a dolly, my move took much more time, which led me to going over on my reserved time, and I was charged extra for that. If the pickup location doesn't have tools that are required for a move, then the website should not indicate that as an option.

Improve the website, app, and entire process of "log in". The vans are located in the basement of the parking garage, where there is no service. This makes it impossible to use the app or website while trying to access the vehicles. The employee at the garage was apathetic and uninterested in helping until it was absolutely required.

Van and attendant were great. But the Dolly, an ESSENTIAL item for my move was not there. Really put me in a bad position. Called customer service and was told I would receive a call back from a manager. Never came. There will not be a next time for me, and I will recommend that others avoid as well

I guess this is a satellite location but it would be nicer to drop off something like a truck at a proper location with proper staff-- it seemed like the man at the garage wasn't associated with uhaul. Would be nice to not have had to back up the truck into such a tight spot ourselves-- if I was by myself it would not have been possible.

I made a reservation with a dolly, but was told there were no dollies available when I went to pick up the truck. I would have prepared an alternative option had I known, a heads up would be appreciated! But overall great service.

I had booked a van and hand truck. After picking up the van and driving 30 minutes, I realized there was no hand truck in the in van. So I had to rush back to the pick up location to see if I can pick up the hand truck. After I arrive there, the person working there says there was no hand truck booked with my order, which I did. Just for your information, this is not a full Uhaul dedicated location (it is a parking garage but has uhaul services) Furthermore, he said it is Uhaul screws up all the time by forgetting to include hand trucks with the order. I asked the guy if he had any hand trucks and he said no. So I wasted my time going back and forth with no hand truck in hand. I asked for uhaul to credit back my account for the wasted gas and they said no. Won't be going back to uhaul or this location anytime soon.

Charged 2x and for incorrect amounts. Was given a van that was ON EMPTY and had to put gas in myself before moving. Returned the truck with a 1/4 full tank and was charged a refueling fee AND $20 for gas.

They did not have any of the moving supplies that I requested (two handtrucks and dollies). Was given two furniture pads as an alternative. Due to not having proper moving equipment, my TV was damaged during the loading of the truck. Upon returning the truck two random men, who I have no idea if they actually worked for Uhaul asked me for my keys and gave me an attitude when I insisted on dropping them into the key return box. Additionally, we I was checking out, Uhaul tried to charge me an additional $190. with no explanation as to what the additional charge was for. I will not be using Uhaul again for my next move as it wasn't a seamless process.

The pickup process should have been communicated by U-Haul in advance I did not select truck share, the verification process was a surprise and no one from U-Haul directly was available to explain to me. This was also communicated less than 12 hours from the pickup time.

The person before me left a brown envelope in the unhaul-i didn't realize until i started receiving calls from the pick up place and then the person themself and some one else and texting-13 calls-i don't know how the person got my number uhaul must of given them it. they demanded i tell them where i was and when they got there they were aggressive and rude and it was unsafe i want a full refund your employee of south 6 was unhelpful.

My order was missing a number of important items for my move - furniture dolly, handtruck, furniture pads - and I was not notified these would be unavailable prior to arrival. As a result our move was took much longer than planned and we had to deliver the truck late. While I appreciate the refund on the items, the larger poor service and communication created a very difficult experience that would have been avoided otherwise. I feel strongly that this warrants more than the refund for the items - it should also include a refund for part of the rental. I look forward to your response.

Your entire “seamless” pickup process is a complete joke. Nothing seamless about it. I had a 4 pm reservation. I showed up on time after having prepared everything in advance. Did not get in the truck until 4:40. Customer service did not exist. Attendant was rude and tried to blame the delay on me. Then when I returned the truck in perfect condition , on time and everything, the attendant tried to charge me double, could not explain the chargeS or print a receipt. The whole process of checking in and out took twice the time I actually used the truck for. They are a total mess.

Online check-in and check-out, AWFUL! So stressful and time consuming. Highly recommend reconsidering the process. Not user friendly and not what we expected. If I wanted a hands off, online, interaction I would've just used my Zip car membership!

Your check in process can be faster. There were several people waiting for their approval. It needs to be better communicated that the check in process also needs to get done when showing up. I checked in the night before than I had to check in again when I showed up. Someone called me from uhaul. All I said was hello and then we got disconnected and then no one even tried to call again. I was on hold when I called the help desk only to be disconnected 30 mins later. I preordered furniture pads and a dolly and the location I went to didn't have them. Better make it clear that those items are not available

The location and service are easily accessible and manageable. The truck was incredible convenient for my purposes. The only complaint I had was that the AC did not work. Sweating!

I rented the smallest van for 3 hours and paid 180$. I am truly disappointed in the uhaul service and price expectations. I tried to contact the office right after the car was dropped to get more idea why I was charged so much. No one was picking up the phone in the 26 S 6th for hours. I called the main service center number and waited for 40 min. I had no patience left and dropped the call. No sure how can I contact the office and will probably will have to go the office. Very disappointed in such a poor service.
