No one was available when we arrived at our reserved pick up time at the location. After waiting 15 min and calling a cell phone, we were told to come back in, despite loudly barking dogs. The location was filthy and smelly. We are surprised that Uhaul is still using this location as our previous experiences at other locations have been very good!

A day later I got an emails asking when I was planning on dropping off the trailer, I had to make 3 phones calls to finally get credit for returning the trailer. It doubles as a towing service. and not a full time uhaul. Should have used PENSKE or a POD.

Richard L.The garage is beyond words. Three large barking dogs jumping up on you when you arrive. A filthy garage full of junk. The vehicle is fine, but the experience picking up was almost a little scary.

James W.Go to person is Steve @ billings rd in warren! He was excellent!! Truck was booked there and due to storm and travel he went out of his way to get it taken to Shorty's for me! Also tried to reach Shorty's to clarify charges to CC and mentioned to Steve I was trying but not heard back, he said probably busy with calls. A few mins later Steve called me with that verification! He is amazing and caring and very professional! A keeper!! Shorty's took over 45 mins to process the paperwork and the business was disgusting!! Filthy! I do appreciate picking up there!! Ty! Uhaul is the way to go!!
CherylJ M.The yard had about 3" of snow, and a moderate hill. I had to hook up the trailer myself at pickup, and unhook it upon return. Upon return there was no sign of the proprietor, but his barking dogs (they were really nice friendly dogs - no complaints there) made sure that if he were around he'd have known I was there.

Tim T.Attendant went out on a tow call and was over an hour late to my reservation appointment. I called in the morning and was informed that I could drop off a rental anywhere. When I completed the lease online I couldn't change the drop off location but wasn't worried since I had called. When I finally got the truck they informed me I had to bring it back to that location. It was over 3 hours round trip to return the truck or I would have had an exorbitant fine. My experience was unprofessional, and lacking customer service skills. Truck also smelled like cigarettes. Very dissatisfied.

Charles P.Return location was very dilapidated without any inside facilities. I explained that I received the truck with 3/4 tank and despite that, I was charged for 1/4 tank, requiring yet another call to U-Haul customer service.
Robert J.Shorty's was awesome, however, Uhaul remote check-in, not so much. Y'all never bothered to tell me I'd need 2 people at their phones to vouch for me upon pick up, that I'd need to photograph my ID or have my lease (not something I normally carry around with me). This added a LOT of stress to what should've been an easy task -- had you given me an advanced warning of what the check-in process entailed. But I checked the day before and NO INFORMATION about the process was available, other than to bring my phone and click the link when I was at the location. Then the UHaul rep who called as totally rude! She called my 2nd alternative, barked at him as to whether he knew me or not, and then hung up on him! Not cool! Then to top it off, a wicked lengthy text arrived DURING MY BUSY DAY OF UHAUL USE, starting out with a thank you. So I ignored it, as I was already way delayed from the wonky check in. Then way later, I recalled it and opened it, 2 hours after I dropped the truck off 30 minutes early in the same manner as I return rental cars -- clean, refueled, key in box...only to discover that I was supposed to have checked in while at the truck to avoid a $20 fee?!? So I of course called, despite no longer being at the truck...and was told I had a 59 minute wait to speak with a rep?!? So...had I actually known the process in advance as I should have, I would have called to return AND been expected to sit around there for an hour to check the truck in?!? This process SUCKS and needs a lot of help to actually work for your customers. Better, proactive communication about the process to check in and drop off are a base minimal that Uhaul should absolutely improve so people are prepared with your expectations BEFORE their big day of needing a Uhaul -- a day that is 99 % of the time planned to a T and already VERY stressful. Thank goodness the guys at Shorty's happened to be at the shop when it was closed on Saturday to help me out -- or I would've not been able to pick up the truck! And to note it...there were people in the drive when I arrived at 4:30PM to drop off. They had a 330pm pick up time but could not jump through all your hoops that they did not know about beforehand to check in online, either. They had to wait for one of the guys to come back on his day off to help as your online check-in stinks. I felt bad that I couldn't just give them the keys to the truck I dropped back off!

We appreciated them helping us hook it up correctly. The drop off was easy but again we had to wait to know exactly where we were going. We wish we had this info before our trip
