On-line I ordered a bunch of moving and packing accesories NOT AVAILABLE at this site. Sales person confused over my on-line information I had previously entered. That information came out LAUGHABLY WRONG on his computer. Said I was going to Los Angeles when I had entered Princeton, NJ Worst of all , I originally made reservation for Northboro( Bearfoot Rd) at last minute, only hours before scheduled pickup, pickup changed to Shrewsbury, why?

Dealer experience was great, Uhaul is awful to deal with and have no idea what they are doing. Took forever to find my trailer and have no idea what their inventory is. I had to call 3 times and 3 different dealers to actually find a trailer. Ridiculous.

I ordered a 15 foot truck. When I arrived it was unavailable. I was given a 10 foot truck instead. I do think it was U Haul’s fault not the vendor. Unloading without a ramp was dangerous

There were a lot of negative reviews online for this location, and I'm glad I paid attention to them because I was charged for double the fees I should have been. I used a van for 5 hours, and was charged for 30 hours of use with 2 days of insurance coverage. If I wouldn't have read the online reviews and known to be on the lookout for fishy invoices and extra fees for no reason, and not been owed the $44 dollars that was taken from my account due to this error/theft.

My location was switched due to a 1 way truck rental not being available which took 4 days to notify me of this. The reason I wanted the other location was because of its opening time at 7AM. I only had help moving in certain hours which I lost that help because of it. I received a confirmation text from uhaul that the truck would be available at 7:30am at the new location. Then I received a phone call that it would be available between 9am-12pm. However upon talking to the owner, he mentioned "We open at 8, but knowing my brother who handles Uhaul, he will probably roll in at 8:15-8:30." We proceeded to show up at 8:30, but nobody arrived until 9:10. If one way trucks are not an option, please tell people up front they are not an option or notify them previous to the day before. I could have easily made arrangements to bring the truck back through a 2 way rental. Out of the many staff I spoke with, maybe one was understanding of the situation but it always came back to scheduling telling me there were no rentals available. If I had more than 24 hours, I would have had more options.

Hello, I made an online reservation that was changed twice. I got a 15’ truck instead of a 17’. I did get the $50 credit BUT was then up charged for a $98 insurance plan. I didn’t notice before signing the contract. I tried to get this remediated the day of my rental but their location and U-Haul service both said “its the others problem “ and assured me it would be fixed when I return the truck. I return the truck yesterday and both the dealer and U-Haul say I’m out of luck, they don’t know how to fix the situation. I am extremely dissatisfied. I have rented from U-Haul for years and used to recommend, but now will not. Please call me at 201-421-6387 or email jpearlman476@gmail.com to discuss. You did not have my trailer as promised. You sent me to another inconvenient location and that location tried to charge me more for the same trailer.

This comment is more about the rental process than the location per say. I had the truck for two days given it was a between-town rental. I picked up the truck on Monday 9:30am, and returned it on Tuesday after hours (7pm?). Well, I was charged an extra day because it was reported that I returned the truck at 10am on Wedneday ( though the store opens at 8am). Trying to get this rectified as well.

Be more specific than just “leave it.” There was no direction as to where to leave anything. We have never unhitched a trailer, had to google it, figure it out, and ended up having to find a rock so the trailer wouldn’t roll off the lot or into the building. The worker was short and relatively rude - granted, we are from the west, so maybe it was the Massachusetts attitude people talk about?

The Facility "opened" at 8:00 am. My reservation was for 8:00 am. I arrived at 8:05 am, leaving them time to open and turn on equipment, etc. The only employee in the building was a mechanic, and "did not do any of the office stuff", and "the Uhaul guy usually comes in between 8:15 and 8:30, I can't help you, you'll have to wait". The owner arrived at 8:35, he turned on the computer and said that he had checked the computer before he left on Friday, and there was no reservation that he knew of. He had to get the key from the drop box and enter the return before my reservation came up. I was almost an hour late getting out of there. Then when I opened the truck, it was not cleaned out.

No assistance whatsoever by the Uhaul attendant at the Shrewsbury location. Trailer was missing the lighting harness. Also, did not have the furniture blankets that I had ordered.

I put in a reservation on-line at a different location that was closer to me. When I got there, there was not a single truck. It should prompt that a truck not available, and not let you make a reservation. When I talked to a rep, he tried to tell me the closest truck was way far away from me. Where I ended up getting one (finding it on my own) was actually pretty close. This I why I don't rent from U-Haul. Total bad information. The place I got it from, however, was great.

The guy helping me had absolutely no idea how to work the UHAUL system, even though it was pretty clear. I personally had to walk him through how to check me out and I'd never seen it before. A guy in the associated shop was also blasting music and yelling profanities while working on a car.

I ordered a truck a week in advance -- one day before I was to pick it up I received an email from U Haul that said I would get a different, larger, truck at a different location. When I arrived, the person who waited on me was having trouble with the U Haul internet software. All was okay in the end.

Horrible rental place. John who is responsible for renting out U-Haul is the most horrible rental agent. Bought a U-Haul gift card to pay for U-Haul rental and after repeatedly mentioning to use that for payment and contact me before closing my contract, he charges my credit card. Several notes plus gift card photocopies were left for him to use so that he could use it for closing my account. So I am charged for the gift card as well as my credit card for U-Haul rental. Very rude person to talk to as well. Never going to that location again.

The contract had the wrong milage out listed. I told the salesperson and he hand corrected the milage on the contract, but did not include the correction when determining my final bill. The contract said the gas tank was full, but it was not. I returned it full anyway. The tire pressure warning light was on in the van when I took it. Someone should verify everything is as listed on the contract and no warning lights are on before giving the vehicle to the customer.

This location entered my return date a day and a half after I had actually returned the vehicle. When I contacted them about it they did absolutely nothing to fix the situation or remove the extra rental period charges. Definitely feels like I got scammed. Will not be using this location/service again.

Notify client the day before the pickup thru an email or something as to the vehicle location so the client doesn't have to waste time trying to find it.

Stood around in lobby for 5-10 minutes before I was acknowledged. Once acknowledged staff was not helpful after completing walk around asked what paperwork needed to be signed he said none I'll just bill it to you didn't feel confident process was completed correctly.

This by far had to be the worst experience I've had with a company. My check in process was extremely long due to the malfunctioning computer. The clerk was not able to bring up my original reservation due to technical issues and created a new reservation as a walk in resulting in my card being overcharged. Clerk was also not very knowledgeable and seemed to not know what he was doing during the check in process. Nightmare experience and I will never use U-haul again.

The online reservation process was actually terrible. The district manager called because of messages I sent by e-mail, but what he set up was not correct in the computer and would have cost me nearly $200. THe location guy was FANTASTIC. He created a new reservation from scratch in only a couple minutes and had me in the truck I needed for less than $100. Outstanding guy and great customer service from him. THANKS!

The previous customer did not return the vehicle on time. The office received the vehicle just before 5:00 and threatened to close if we didn't pick it up right then. We had movers ready at 2PM waiting to load it. Needless to say it wasn't cleaned all that well, but we really needed the truck more than we needed it cleaned.

I started receiving calls and messages saying my equipment was not returned and the truck was dropped off the same day. I called the help desk and never heard from U-haul again, I called the location and an employee said the manager had probably forgotten to report the return but he could confirm the truck was there. Hopefully the problem is fixed and I am not paying a penny more.

I was taken aback at how little this individual cared about my business given that it was the end of the month (Friday, 2/27) and I figured someone would want the truck before Monday.

Dropped off after hours but returned the following day to retrieve a cell phone charger left in the now locked truck. There was customer in the office who reserved a truck, but the putz employee seem to come across in lacking cpu skills. The poor guy waited about 45 mins while this shmuck went back and forth with technical phone support. Since the printer issue never got resolved, the poor guy renting was just given keys and being told replace any used gas. Ouy..Remind me not to rent from them! I got my charger and made a run for it!! Fine for late night dropping off, just don't pick up there!

Was given wrong directions twice on getting to this location.We already had to go out of our way to pick this uhaul to start moving.When it came to dropping it off we was suppose to have it until 3:14 was told it had to be back before 2:00 because thats when they close on Sundays even though I paid for 24 hours.We was also told we could get 30 days free storage which we was also told we could not get because they don't have a place in Marion.This is false advertisement we was told with a 1 way we would get free storage for 30 days.So not only was we ran all around to pick it up we lost time moving due to running around and also the business closing early.We also had to find places to store our unneeded items because we did line anything up because we was told we would get the free storage. This will probably be my one and only rental from uhaul this has been a really bad experience.I forgot one thing when making my reservation the guy on the phone told me I would be able to pick up the uhaul in Springfield where we needed it not 30 minutes away that came about 3 calls later.

My overall customer experience was unacceptable, having nothing whatever to do with this location, which was fine. The truck was fine, but the reservation process was horrid. First, I went to a location near my house to minimize the dead driving, but they don't have the truck size I need. I wanted to get the truck at 8:30am, but the reservation did not say the time, and it was placed at a location that the neighbor business said opens "at 11 or 12". So I had to move the reservation to a location that had the next smaller truck size (turned out to be big enough). My expectations were not well managed and I would have made another choice had I known it would be this difficult. I wasted time and money just to get to the truck. But the truck and the Vid/Vac agent were both excellent.

I think the mileage fee of $.99 cents per mile is a little high for the 10 foot size vehicle. Vehicle had a very strong oder of cigarettes in the cab area. For a non-smoker it was neccessary to roll down both windows to air out and breath while driving. Suggest store staff check and spray something to remove odors between usage.

When I made the reservation @ 1-800-U-Haul-go, I was informed I would get an E-mail or a phone call on Sunday night to let me know where in Xenia I would be picking the truck up. When it was getting late and had not recieved a call Sunday, I phoned the 800 # again to be informed there was no reservation for me. I had never got the reservation # from the original person I contacted B/C he told me I would get all the information I needed when they called me Sunday. When speaking to the lady on Sunday she told me there was nothing she could do with-out a reservation # and that all I could do was call in the morning on Monday and hope it could all be sorted out. It was but I didn't appreciate the added tormoil I had to go through after driving from Joliet, IL to Xenia, OH and not knowing if I had made the trip for nothing.
