Person in charge of uhaul did not have uhaul ready for me to receive at my pick up time of 7:00 am. Wasn't helpful until I called customer service and informed him that he did not set up the uhaul to be received. He then went through the process for me to receive the uhaul. I wouldn't recommend this location.

WARREN RI have rented moving trucks from U-Haul many times over the years and my experience with this U-Haul rental location was by far the worst experience I've ever had renting a moving vehicle. Typically, I book directly through the U-Haul site and I select a location this time using the same site I've used in the past. I had to select this location which is not the one I normally use due to the pickup time I needed for the moving truck. When I booked this rental I went by the address where the pickup was located and did not realize that this location was a gas station not a moving company or storage facility and that's my mistake. I arrived to pick up the moving vehicle with the movers I had paid to help me to find a gas station with one U-Haul vehicle parked in the lot. I went inside to speak to the gas station attendant to request the keys for this car (who was not friendly)and he informed me that I needed to download an app and once it was downloaded add the information needed to rent the moving truck and upload my drivers license on top of the information I already added to the rental when I booked. This whole process took an hour and after I entered the information he informed me that I would have to sit there and wait until someone called him to confirm I could rent the truck. I did not receive any instructions prior to arriving stating that I needed to download an app prior to coming to pick up the vehicle and was told by the annoyed gas station attendant that I was required to do so and he reminded me throughout this experience that he works for the gas station not U-Haul. I get that you need to sign waivers or whatever else to rent a vehicle, but it took over an hour for this whole process to be completed, that's an hour extra I had to pay movers who were waiting to get started. We were required to check the vehicle before taking it to use and filled out the app information that was required to confirm what the status of the vehicle was prior to using it. First off there was barely any gas in the car and the check engine light was on which I included in the check in process with a photo on the app. I asked the gas station attendant why there wasn't any gas in it and he pointed to the gas pump and told me to fill it up. The entire experience with this individual was rude and quite odd compared to other experiences I've had picking up U-Haul's I've rented in the past. Drove to start my moving process and the entire time we drove it all day the seat belt alarms kept going off (we had our seatbelts on) Loaded the vehicle with everything I owned and got on the road to head to Melbourne Florida, which is the location I entered as my final stop only to have the vehicle stall and turn off on the highway. Thankfully, we were able to restart the vehicle and we're close to our final destination but as you can imagine breaking down on highway with a big U-Haul is not only scary but could have been prevented if whoever runs this gas station U-Haul rental service did their due diligence and checked to make sure the vehicle was safe to be rented out. When we arrived to my storage unit we explained to the manager that we wanted to change our final drop off location to theirs because we felt like it was unsafe to drive the truck and he was kind enough to help us update the reservation so that we did not put ourselves in another unsafe situation like we experienced on our prior trip. I called U-Haul customer service to report this whole awful experience and was asked why I didn't call roadside assistance when the vehicle stalled. I explained to them that the vehicle turned back on and the reason we used the vehicle in the first place when we noticed the check engine light was because when we arrived to pick it up it was literally the only car parked at the gas station not sure if they were expecting the man who ran the front register at the gas station to go out and get us another rental option which he made clear wasn't his job or expected us to wait on roadside assistance and unpack everything I owned on the highway into another rental truck which would have cost me more money on top of the additional time I already had to pay my movers from my morning rental pickup experience. Packing and moving is never fun, do yourself a favor and save your time and money by not choosing this location to rent a U-Haul!
Jillian DOnce I arrived at location attendant could not help me. It took 30 min for me to figure out how to check-in to receive keys for truck. I was told to take pics after drop off but wasn't told to take pics when picking up. I'm pretty sure I got charged a gas fee for no reason. overall process took too long

Felisa aThe truck ran horribly and had to go to a seperate UHaul Center to get a hand truck and a new truck due to the ray the UHaul was running.
CYNTHIA SThe problem was I cannot do the check in by myself and I need to get assistance. At the check out the person didnt do it the same day so I need to call to let the company know that I already leave the truck at this location back.
