All went well until I received a phone call the following day after the truck return, accusing me of not putting gas in the truck prior to the return. I told him where, what time and how much gas I put in the truck just prior to the return. I offered to show my debit card gas transaction receipt. He argued that I had not done what I had stated and he refused to acknowledge any portion of my explanation of facts. Approximately 20 minutes later he called back and stated that I would not be charged for the gas but he never explained what had changed since his original allegations and he never apologized for falsely accusing me. Dismal customer relations skills!

There was no clear dropbox for after hours, even though uhaul designated this as my drop-off location. There’s a drop-off sticker next to a mail slit in the door with a QRC code you can scan, to see a video with instructions. Of course, the link did not work. When I called the number provided to ask if this was the correct drop-off location, the business owner said they’re closed Sundays and didn’t understand why uhaul had them listed as an after hours drop off. The first customer service rep I spoke with couldn’t figure it out and transferred me to roadside service. Roadside was very pleasant, but ultimate when she tried transferring me back, I was on hold and the system kicked me out and the line dropped. I called again, and this rep said to drop the keys in the mail slit in the front door of the business and to call back in the morning b/c the business opens later than the time my truck is due back. I am nervous about the shady dropoff situation and that I will be charged a late fee.

Owner refused to go out to check the car, mileage or gas tank. I urged him to do so to make sure I did not exceed any of the necessary parameters but he said “ I don’t have the time for that, if you want you can take a picture of mileage. Same answer for my request for some kind of a release form.

The rental truck was not checked in a timely manner. Dropped it off at 3:30 pm and they didn't check it in until after 6:30 pm and charged me an extra day.
